Chapter 11 - Daily Work

Back to the ordinary everyday life. Ever since the hunt that took place Neron once again tried to use magic that made his hand become like a monster hand but it ended in failure, the boy could no longer use it, it made him wonder why now that he could not use magic anymore like before, was it just a miracle?

Lying her body on a padded mattress Neron tried to relieve her fatigue due to the activities she was doing today, she continued her training and helped Hazel with homework. Now Hazel's attitude is a little strange the man is now being too lazy, after finishing homework he must have gone back to the room and always said "I'm tired, I want to sleep so don't bother me"

Neron didn't mind that maybe the wound wasn't healed yet that's what he thought. Because of that so Neron could practice the magic he used in the forest because his hand turned into a monster hand, Neron kept it a secret from Hazel, she was afraid that Hazel would not accept her like that so Neron kept it a secret.

Meanwhile in Hazel's room. The man sat down with an annoyed face, he had from earlier attempted to use the shape magic he used to use, the magic did appear but it was unstable and soon disappeared, therefore Hazel felt annoyed, the man knows what happened. The attack from the monster he was fighting in the forest had hit his Mana core and that was what caused his magic to be unstable and lately his stomach was sometimes painful but he did not tell Neron because if Hazel gave her the child would definitely feel guilty, so after doing the activity she went back to her room and told Neron that she was going to sleep, with that she could keep it a secret. Because the incident in the forest both people have secrets that they must keep.

Due to Hazel's current state of Neron being forbidden to hunt in the forest and now all the boy could do was practice and do homework, it made Neron feel bored.

"Have you been completely healed?" asked Neron who was still chewing the meat he was eating.

"hehh....Yes" put the food in his mouth which was delayed Hazel continued "No need to worry about me being cured, oh yes by the way how do you defeat the monster?"hazel asked, he tried to divert the conversation.

Neron thought for a moment before answering whether he should be honest or not "yes I managed to use magic" Neron said as he scratched the back of his non-itchy head.

"Really!!" Hazel said that with sparkling eyes while stomping her hands on the dinner shirt "That explains about the monster's shattered body, I think you're using some sort of sword technique that I don't know about" hazel said excitedly and it made her stomach hurt again so she sat back down.

"are you okay?"

"i think I'm too excited, so can you show me what kind of magic you're using?"

"eee.... Actually I can no longer use it, it seems like it's just a miracle"

Neron is confused as to how he should answer but he prefers to be honest.

"So that's it, well it's okay I'm sure you can use it again, so until you actually make it, I'll wait for you to show it" Hazel said with a sincere smile.

Neron knows that Hazel's demeanor is childish at times, but there are times when she can look like a parent who loves her child.

"Yes" Unknowingly a smile was painted on Neron's face.

After finishing all the food on the table, the two of them did not immediately leave and still sat down to make their meal go down.

"Oh yeah Neron, 'cause now you can't learn about work from me what if you learn some work from the villagers?"

"Work?" Neron thought for a moment maybe it was a good thing because Neron really liked learning new things "what job?" ask Neron.

"Not too much but I'm sure the job will be useful for you in the future"

The next day Neron went to the place where Hazel had told him. Because Hazel was resting so now Neron went to that place alone.

From the outside, the house in front of Neron was an ordinary house as in general there was nothing interesting so Neron wondered if this was the right place.

"WHAT!!! Screech again" A mysterious shout from behind the house sounded. Black smoke appeared behind the house and filled the air.

"Sorry I made a mistake again" said the red-haired boy, trying to move the meat he had burned.

Neron who heard the sound went behind the house to see what was going on there. A man was fanning the black smoke coming towards him, she has striking red hair and wears an apron to protect herself from food stains and there is also a child whom Neron knows she is Ryan.

"Neron, you're coming" Ryan said happily

"Oh so you're the child Hazel said" said the man with vigor.

"Yes, Hello My name is Neron, I will learn to work here" said Neron politely

"Good, just call me Uncle Henry. Thank you for being my son's friend he used to tell you a lot" Henry said, patting Neron on the shoulder and showing off his white teeth as he introduced himself.

"DAD!!!" Shouted Ryan. He was ashamed that his father had said that to Neron.

"Honey, the boy has come" regardless of Ryan's response, Henry then calls his wife.

"So this is the boy, your name is Neron right Here I have a little snack" a beautiful woman came out she had straight red hair and also wore an apron, too, Neron recalls that Ryan once said that his parents were a chef and they did look like that.

After having a little chat with them Neron starts to find out about his work, Ryan's mother will prepare the spice and Ryan's father will cook the food, if Ryan's mother's job is done she will help her husband's work and after the food is done they sell it in the village or in the capital through the parents of Syla and Lyra.

Ryan learns how to cook from his father while Neron is told to choose he wants to learn from Ryan's father or Ryan's mother and Neron chooses to learn from both of them.

The next place is a house that is also simple but there is a horse stable next to the house and in front of it there is a horse carriage that is quite large and under the carriage there are several boxes containing vegetables.

A girl carries a small box from inside the house.

"Neron, so you finally came" said the girl greeting Neron.

"Kyra, Yes, I've come to learn" Neron told Kyra "I'll help you, Where will this be put?" Neron took the box Kyra had brought.

"Thank you, just take it to the horse-drawn carriage over there I'll take the other stuff inside"

"Excuse me, where is this stuff going to be placed?" ask Neron

"Hmmm..... Whoareyou?. Did you come to propose to my son?" Ask the man with folded arms.

"Ah Neron" The girl in the carriage jumped down and greeted Neron.

The girl with long hair approached her father and elbowed him as if telling him to stop his behavior.

"Include my name Neron, I came to learn about trading here"

"Neron, this is my father Tomas even though it looks like he's like that he's pretty good. Oh the box just put it there" said Syla kindly.

Neron put the box where Syla told him.

"Oh yeah, it's a delivery from Auntie Eri" Neron gave Ryan's mother's leave to Syla, Because Neron had said he would go to Uncle Tomas' house so Auntie Eri left ready-made dishes to sell to the capital.

"Thank you, I'll bring her into the house first" said Syla

"Well, now what am I supposed to do?" After Syla left, Neron asked Tomas what he should do.

"Before that" Tomas grabbed Neron and whispered something in his ear"Do you like my daughter? Who did you choose?" Tomas asked Trying to test Neron.

Without a second thought Neron replied "I like them both I'm happy when playing with them"

"Listen to this, I will give you a job but not with my daughters" said Tomas as if he had made up his mind. The man said that because his two daughters were always talking about Neron so Tomas felt rivaled.

"Well" Neron said that while scratching the back of his head that was not itchy and was astonished by the man's behavior.

The last place was the place that Neron had visited. A house that was once attacked by a herd of goblins and made the house destroyed but now it has become better than before. Next to the House there is a Workshop and there are some people who are working to make tools from iron. The sound of the clash between the two irons was heard making the place very noisy.

"Excuse me" Call Neron. Neron tried to give his greetings first but the sound of iron being struck was too loud making Neron's voice inaudible.

"Excuse me, I want to work here" Neron tried calling once more but still the workers there didn't hear Neron's voice.

In the workshop a boy was carrying a few spears to be moved to his place but because he was not careful he even tripped his own feet and made the spears fall on the floor along with himself so that making a loud noise that shocked everyone, Hearing that They immediately quit their jobs and helped the child.

"You're falling again, you have to be more careful Gobu?" said a man there may be around the age of 30 and 2 others younger maybe around the age of 20 years to clean the spears scattered.

"I'm sorry I messed up" Gobu said apologetically

"It's okay we'll take care of it" said the man in his 20s, recreating the spear that Gobu dropped.

"You're okay Gobu?" Neron asked who rushed in because he saw Gobu fall.

"Neron, you've come I've been waiting for you"

"So this kid that Hazel talked about yesterday. Yulo Call the boss now" said the oldest man

The boy named Yulo quickly entered the house to call Gobu's father.

"I'm sorry you saw that after coming here" Gobu said

"It's okay that it describes you" Neron replied. Of all Neron's friends, Gobu is the most careless of them but he can always make his other friends laugh.

The first time Neron met Gorgus the boy thought that Gorgus was a creepy person it turned out that his thinking was wrong even though he was big and muscular but that was not the case when it came to his son.

So now Neron's days will be busy with a lot of work and Neron will learn a lot from his friends' parents.
