The President's Wife

The President's Wife
Chapter 177: What happened to Pram?

Kaila ran over to her husband who was helpless. Time seemed to stop spinning, his heart rumbled violently. The expectant mother rested on the side of the body lying helplessly with blood splattered out from the back of the head.

The usually smiling handsome face rubbed him off, stiff with no expression. Silence as if there is no life. With trembling hands, tuck it in the nape of the husband who was not moving. Bringing Pram's head to his deck.

“Honey, wake up. Let's go home, don't joke like this,” whispered slowly. Tears fell, pouring out on both cheeks that began to bulge. Refuse to believe, but this is real.

“Sayang ... wake up!” kailla said a little louder, plus wobbled on Pram's shoulders. Her husband's eyes were tightly closed without any gaps.

Several residents and motorists appeared to start arriving, crowding around the couple. The blood started to sting. An old man looked down. His outstretched hand touched the tip of Pram's nose. “Still alive!” he cried, when he felt the breath blowing slowly there.

“Please help bring it to the hospital!” he asked for help after seeing that Kailla was unable to do anything. Just crying without a sound, hugging Pram with hands covered in blood.

“Please this woman!” he cried again, helping Kaila support Pram's frozen body.

Kailla was already standing in front of the IGD room in blood-stained clothes. His face was flooded with tears. Nibbling his fingernails, he waited for almost half an hour in dismay. No one came out to tell her about her husband's condition.

“Non, what happened?” Bayu suddenly appeared before his employer along with three other assistant colleagues. As soon as he got a call from Kailla, Bayu immediately ran to the hospital.

Kailla did not reply, only pointing to the door of the IGD room.

“That's patient, Non!” Sam came closer. Standing right beside Kailla and embracing the pregnant mother's shoulder.

“Will he be okay?” kailla asked like a child. She saw for herself how severe her husband was at the scene.

“Yes, Mr. Pram must be fine.” Sam tried to cheer.

Their attention was distracted when the doors of the IGD room opened. Appeared a middle-aged man in his great clothes, greeting.

“Family of patients who were in accidents?” tanyakanya.

Of course, Kailla was as fast as lightning was approaching. “I'm his wife, Doc.”

The doctor's flat smile left Kailla unable to guess anything. I hope Pram is okay, just a small wound. But hopefully it will not be in line with reality. She saw for herself how bad her husband was.

“Cute me into the room. I will explain how the patient is. And what actions to take,” firmly men in white coats who display his prowess.

Kailla said, walking in the back.

“Non, I'm coming!” Sassy, Bayu offered an escort. At least at this moment, he felt the need to accompany Kailla who looked shocked and could do nothing.

“Begini, Sir, Bu.” The doctor opened the conversation after making sure Kailla and Bayu were sitting quietly in front of him.

“Patients have bleeding in the brain and broken bones in his right leg. There are some faults from the calf down.”

Pause for a moment, the doctor seemed to pay attention to the look on the faces of the two families of patients who looked resigned, helpless.

“For broken bones, it doesn't matter. It's just bleeding in the brain, surgery should be done immediately.”

A sigh of relief was heard from the doctor. Delivering sad news to pregnant women in front of him, is not an easy matter.

“Do whatever the doctor thinks should be done. Save my husband, Doc!” Kailla immediately voiced making Bayu surprised by the response of her employer.

“Good, we will do a series of tests to make sure again, before the operation is done. We will try our best, Mom,”, said the doctor with confidence.

A few hours after Kailla signed the approval letter of the surgery and other actions, Pram was finally able to enter the surgical room.

Still accompanied by her assistant, the pregnant woman waited in front of the operating room with prayers and hope that never broke up. Tears did not stop coming down from her beautiful face.

“Non, preferably Non Kailla break. Poor with the baby fathered if Non continues to stand here,” persuaded Bayu. Can't bear to see Kailla's condition is so alarming. His face was paled and puffy. Not to mention the tears that had not stopped flowing since just now, as if there was no end.

“I stay here until my husband comes out!” reject Kailla.

From the corridor, Ricko appeared with a bag of bread and mineral water. He had to carry her to the front of the operating room.

“Sam, this!” sodor Ricko to his colleague who was sitting on the floor, accompanied Kailla.

Kailla's favorite assistant has been near her employer ever since. Where there's Kailla, there's Sam. It is not uncommon for Kailla to lean on Sam's shoulders, just asking for strength amid her fears.

Kailla now looked much calmer. Unlike when Riadi left, the current Kailla is much stronger despite continuing to cry. Slowly, while praying in my heart. I hope this exam passes and Pram is fine. The father of her children must be fine.

“Non ...” Sam handed him a bottle of mineral water that he had just opened.

Kailla shook her head, pushing her slowly away with her hand.

“Must be strong, Non. Mr. Pram must be fine,” whispered Sam slowly.

“Yes, my husband needs me.” Kailla answered quietly, rubbing the rough tears that came back down. The pregnant woman looks strong, with a damp and wet face. His body was squeezing but he was trying to strengthen himself and his heart.

Hours waiting in front of the operating room, Kailla was able to breathe a sigh of relief as the lights of the room were turned off. But the relief did not last long, again he had to wait for Pram who still had to be monitored by medics in the transition room to make sure there were no complications and various things beyond estimate.

“How, Doc?” kailla asked as one of the team of doctors handling her husband came out. The tired face was not only his and the assistant's, but the medical team that had been struggling for hours with scissors, knives and blood were similarly tired.

“Operation success. Hope the patient's condition improves. While the patient still has to wait until his stable condition can be moved,” said the doctor, smiling.

There is a lot of haru and thanksgiving offered by Kailla. All the prayers that are said in silence are answered. He could breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the doctor's sincere smile.

The stomach that had been rumbling and filled only with a piece of bread and mineral water began to feel pain. The babies are already in contact.

“Sam, accompany me to foraging. My stomach is hungry,” pinta Kailla, grabbing Sam's arm to walk after her.

“Happy Non. Mr. Pram is fine,” whispered Sam.

The two enjoyed a missed dinner of several hours in the hospital canteen. Luckily, at almost midnight, there was still a restaurant open in the hospital lobby.

Kailla was able to smile again, although there was still a cloudy mist in her eyes. At least Pram is fine. The two had just returned, after spending almost an hour. Leaving Pram with three other assistants.

“Bay!” sam shouted as the distance was a few steps behind. He and Kailla just finished dinner.

“This!” sodor Sam, handed over the plastic bag containing the food he had ordered at the restaurant. Ration for Bayu, Ricko and Donny.

“Bay, how? Any word?” ask Kailla. Once the stomach is filled, the condition is much better. His face was not as pale as before.

But Bayu did not answer, and several nurses ran into the room next to the operating room. The panicked faces did not answer when asked. In fact, shortly followed by the doctor who had talked with Kailla came running in. The tense look was obvious.

“Bay, what happened?” kailla asked, the pregnant woman's face clouded back. The smile that had been engraved on his lips, disappeared again.

“Propa Non. All will be fine,” comfort Bayu, even though in his heart crabbed.

Half an hour passed, finally Kailla was able to breathe a little relieved when she saw the doctor come out with a shunt step,

“What happened to my husband, Doc?” kailla asked, asking for clarity.

The old doctor stared, until finally forced himself to make a sound. Looking at Kailla who is pregnant, piba looks real on the face of the doctor.

“Sorry, Ma'am .. coma patient.”
