The President's Wife

The President's Wife
Chapter 120: Pregnant?

Those beautiful eyes immediately paved the river with the heart racing as soon as they saw the name of the sender.

“From the court, Mom,” says Kailla is squeezing.

Mother Ida flinched. All this time he knew Pram and Kailla's relationship was in trouble, even for almost three weeks now, Pram disappeared without news. Leave memories for memories that Kailla mourns every day.

“It's okay. There must be a way out,” whispered Mother Ida, while hugging Kailla.

The plump body that often makes a cheerful, cheerful face that often spreads ignorance, a noise that is always spoiled is gone in three weeks. Kaila locked herself in her room and cried.

Kaila lost her appetite, lost her passion for life, couldn't even sleep well every night. Mother Ida and Ibu Sari had to take turns accompanying all day, unable to leave her employer alone while persuading Kailla to keep eating or just drink juice or milk.

The brat, nicknamed Pram, lost a fair amount of weight in three weeks. The crazed body contained it now looked thinner, limp and pale with protruding cheekbones, looking firm. The water supply is like it never ends.

Even Kailla's condition last week was worse. Her body dropped, barely able to get out of bed. Experiencing severe nausea and vomiting, plus severe shortness of breath and low back pain. Not to mention his legs and stomach often cramp.

“Bu, what my household will end up like this,” whispered Kailla slowly, so detach from Mother Ida's embrace. Trying to figure out the contents inside the envelope, even though he already had a shadow of the contents inside.

“That's patient yes, Non. There must be a way out,” whispered Mother Ida, gently rubbed Kailla's shoulder, trying to strengthen.

His tears trickled back, as his bead traced the words printed on the white paper signed by the court clerk.

“The letter of call attended the divorce hearing, Mom,” Kailla said, folding and returning the letter into its envelope. Put it originally on the nightstand.

“Three more days,” Kaila continued again.

“It's okay,” said Ibu Ida, cupping Kailla's face back in tears. Then carried that weak body into his arms.

Mother Ida's warm embrace did not last long, Kailla began to nausea and vomiting again as usual.

“Bu, nausea again,” Kailla said, closing her mouth. Resisting the turmoil in his stomach.

With a stagger on Mother Ida's father, rushed to the bathroom, spilling a yellowish clear liquid. The orange juice that had not long ago entered into his stomach, came back out.

“Non, we go to the doctor only,” whispered Mother Ida worried, rubbing Kailla's back which bent towards the sink.

“I don't want to, Ma'am,” reject Kailla, clean her wet mouth with a tissue and rush to lie back down.

Mother Ida who had several days alternating with Ibu Sari accompanied her employer it could only obey. Can't do much. They were only subordinates, unable to force could only persuade slowly.

“Bu, please make me orange juice as usual. Don't be too sweet, my stomach will be nauseous again,” pinta Kailla.

“Iya, Non. Now still nauseous?” ask Mother Ida.

“Slightly, Ma'am,” Kailla said, closing her eyes.

Mother Ida's hand still gently rubbed Kailla's stomach slightly hardened and somewhat enlarged than usual. As a woman who has been through half a century of living in the world, honestly she feels strange.

“Non Kailla seems to catch a cold. Must eat a lot, Non, So have the energy to hit Pak Pram later,” said Ibu Ida, trying to joke.

Kaila was silent, not even smiling. He was lamenting his own fate. The subpoena from the court re-emerged in his brain, forcing water droplets down from the closed eyelids.

“She didn't give me a fighting chance anymore,” whispered Kailla, immersing her face in a pillow, hiding her cries.

Ibu Ida was squeezing oranges in the kitchen when Ibu Sari came in and placed her groceries on top of the table top.

“For Non Kailla?” Ibu Sari asked, glancing towards Mother Ida.

“Iya.”

Silent for a moment before Ibu Ida finally tried to remove the uneg-uneg that he had been harboring for several days.

“I suspect Non Kailla is pregnant,” said Ms. Ida, while throwing the skin of the shark into the trash can.

“I touched Non Kailla's stomach. That's so weird. Bigger than usual. Though Non Kailla is much thinner now. I was thinking Non Kailla caught a cold, but I was thinking it could be Non Kailla's pregnant,” Mother Ida's fight.

Deg—

Sari's mother was surprised. All this time she was busy taking care of and accompanying Kailla but she was late to realize it.

“Gosh! I forgot, Non Kailla didn't get her period last month. The stock of pads that Mr. Pram bought is still intact in the drawer,” explained Ibu Sari. The old woman was tidying up her groceries, putting the stock of vegetables into the refrigerator.

“If you are really pregnant, you should already want to enter two months,” said Ibu Ida, join the count.

“What do not-don't nausea and dizziness Non Kailla because of pregnancy, not because of her physical condition that drops too much of the burden of the mind,” continued Ibu Sari, trying to remember what was experienced by Kailla so far. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, back pain, stomach cramps and shortness of breath. Not all of these symptoms are also experienced by young pregnant women.

“Open how this. Non-Kailla doesn't want to be seen by a doctor anymore. Not want to eat. I'm worried, afraid why-why,” said Mother Ida panicked.

The two housekeepers looked at each other, not knowing what to do.

“Do we tell Non Kailla?” Sari's mother gave me an idea.

“So, Non Kailla wants to be taken to the doctor. I'm worried, especially Non Kailla had a miscarriage,” continued Ms. Sari.

“Do-don't!” prevent Mother Ida, hold hands Mother Sari. Asking his partner's attention.

“Yang No Non Kailla added stress. You don't know, if Mr. Pram has registered their divorce to the court,” Mother Ida's story with a sad look.

“Yes God. Pity Non Kailla, if indeed really pregnant and want divorced.” Sari's mother was at a loss for words.

“Then, while hide first from Non Kailla. As much as possible we should persuade Non Kailla to eat and drink milk. While looking for the right time, slowly discuss this matter with him,” said Ibu Ida.

ibu Sari nodded.

Week pass.

Kailla's condition remains the same, nothing has changed. Nausea, vomiting and dizziness remain as usual. She herself chose to sleep in her daddy's room. Can not anymore if you have to go back and forth and go up and down stairs if forced to sleep in his room on the second floor.

He also chose not to attend the court hearing. You could say, Kailla is already in resigned condition. Not wanting to think again about the fate of his household with Pram. More time spent with Mother Ida and Ibu Sari at home.

Since Pram's departure, Kailla has never been out of the house at all. Slowly, began to organize his life that had been a mess for several weeks.

On the other hand, Pram is still in Austria. The man did not attend his first hearing either. Even he doesn't know anything. Nor did he attempt to find out about Kailla, other than to calm himself down, Pram also wanted to make room for Kailla. By moving away, he hoped to be able to introspect each other.

A month later, he's been busy taking care of Pieter and his company, which is falling apart due to his leadership. Pieter's condition, made him not have time to think about his household problems.

That afternoon, David contacted her as she was just getting out of the hospital.

“Presdir, when will it return? How to comb Pieter?” ask David at the first opportunity when his call is connected to Pram. Rarely does Pram want to take his call. While in Austria, Pram was difficult to contact.

“I don't know yet. Pieter just regained consciousness from a coma a few days ago. Why call. Can't you take care of everything by yourself?” ask Pram.

“The company is safe, but your divorce problem, I can't take care of it.” David said.

“Just hold it until I get back to Indonesia. I haven't had time to think about it,” said Pram. His face turned soft when he was reminded of Kailla.

“How can I hold it. The lawyer has already registered your claim in court, according to your instructions before leaving for Austria. And last week was your first hearing, President,” obviously David was a little upset.

Pram surprised.

“How until I don't know, Dave?” pram asked, both annoyed and surprised. He was not told at all.

“We have tried to contact you repeatedly, President. Your phone is more often inactive than active,” complained Dave.

“Sorry,” whispered Pram, realizing his mistake. While in Austria, Pram tried hard to forget Kailla. It was not an easy thing to get Kailla out of her mind. He has to make a lot of effort. He even had to deactivate his phone to not find out about his wife.

The choice to fly to Austria was also one way for her to remove Kailla from her heart and mind. Get busy with work and Pieter. He spent a hard day in Austria. It wasn't easy for her to go through the days without Kailla.

No one knows how she spent her night without Kailla, running her day without any news from Kailla. He could have checked Kailla out of the cctv, missing his wife. But he doesn't want to do it. The more unable he could bear with himself now, the more he would get sick if the time came. The day she had to officially take Kailla out of her life.

“We've contacted you, President. Remember a few weeks ago, even last week I was still trying to tell. Just check your email, President,” said David, reminding Pram again.

“Yes God,” said Pram, squeezing his hair.

Pram remembers, David called him. And worse, had not had time for his assistant to talk, he asked David to take care of everything for him. He entrusted everything, without asking first the matter.

At that time, Pieter's condition was critical. He can't think of anything else. Moreover, Pieter had no one in Austria, relying only on him. Not to mention the company's condition in Austria is a mess.

“I've taken care of it for you. And this week is the second hearing, the mediation agenda. Lawyers ask you to attend,” explained David.

“How's Kailla? Is she okay?” pram asked, even thinking about Kailla's situation. Either his wife is as miserable and miserable as he is or he can already stand firm, smiling at the world. He had no idea how Kailla would spend days without him.

“I haven't met the madam, President. According to Stella, the lady once looked for you at the office. I was in Bandung at the time,” David's story.

“If you have time, please check incoming messages and email. I usually send messages and emails when I can't reach you, President,” continued David.

“Including the development of your divorce proceedings. Sorry, I still have meetings. I turn it off first,” says David turned off his phone.

And now here comes Pram. Recollecting memories for the sake of the memories he spent with Kailla during his time in Austria.

These twenty-four years Kailla filled her life, but the last four years, Kailla filled her heart. A feeling of affection that has not since turned into love. A sense of comfort that suddenly becomes a dependency. A day away from Kailla, she'd go crazy. A day without hearing Kailla's voice, she couldn't breathe.

His life is Kailla.

Every breath is Kailla.

Every pulse is Kailla.

It's not easy to let go of Kailla, but loving sometimes has to sacrifice.

If she smiles with others, why force her to cry next to us.

It's hard to do it, but that doesn't mean it can't.

Evidently this month, although it was difficult, he could have missed it without Kailla.

Those eyes closed. Trying to keep all her stories and Kailla's. If it should be finished here, he should keep it tight. One day, it will all be a great memory.
