The President's Wife

The President's Wife
Chapter 124: Open the door, dear

“Honey, you need something?” ask Pram again. Standing up, leaning her body, her ears close to Kailla's lips in a weak voice.

Kailla did not react. He closed his eyes as if he had heard nothing. Seeing that Pram relented, not daring to ask more. He knew Kailla was mad at him. Forcing Kailla would only widen the gulf of trouble between the two of them.

The man chose to sit back, pulling the chair closer. His eyes stared fixedly at Kailla's closed face that was still paled. His smile surfaced when he found Kailla rejecting him.

Pram's gaze descended on the abdomen, the place where her twin babies shared their breaths with her mommy. His palms ventured in there. Soft and warm strokes as if to show and introduce to the babies about the existence of the daddy who has been with them.

Kailla who felt Pram's warm rubbing on her stomach, immediately put away the man's hand violently. Refusing to enjoy, even though his little heart felt comfort. For now, he is not willing to forgive Pram. Her husband had been crying for days, lamenting her messageless passing. Not only his heart, his body also felt pain when Pram left him.

“Still mad at me?” pram asked in a whisper, smiling as Kailla put her hand away from her prospective children.

Kailla was silent, still with her eyes closed. Unwilling to answer, unwilling to stare, unwilling to respond to Pram's whereabouts.

“May scold me as much, may hit me as much, may slap me as much, but must heal first. Had to gather energy first to fight me,” whispered Pram, rubbing Kailla's cheek with her index back which again received the same treatment. Kailla refused. Crush the rough fingers of Pram's hand with the remaining energy.

Fifteen minutes, silent and no movement whatsoever, Kailla again voiced out to Mother Ida. His throat and mouth dry up already, can not be invited to cooperate again.

“Bu..”.

“Bu.”

“Bu.”

Pram swiftly stood up and approached. “Why Dear? You need something?” ask Pram. Never tired of coaxing Kailla, though it always ends in rejection.

The man followed towards the eyes of Kailla, who looked at Mother Ida expectantly.

“Mother Ida is exhausted, let her sleep. You need anything? What do you want? I will prepare it for you,” said Pram gently.

Kailla stared hard. His mouth was still silent, holding back the upset. Yesterday, he still missed the handsome figure that disappeared in his life this month. Now she was annoyed to see her husband's face. If possible, he wants to slap, claw, kick Pram to sprawl as an attempt to retaliate for what he has done for a month.

Long stay in place, finally Pram relented. Choosing to wake Mother Ida to Kailla.

“For a moment, I call Mother Ida,” Pram said, rushing over to the woman who was fast asleep.

Not long after, Mother Ida immediately walked over. The woman still staggered to hold back her sleepiness.

“What's Non?” asked Mother Ida, rubbing both eyes that are still not willing to open. Keeping Kaila for a month is pretty physically draining. Not only Kailla, her weight also dropped. Not being able to sleep well at night, during the day still has to help Kailla.

“Drink,” whispered Kailla quietly, pointing towards the glass above the nightstand beside her.

Ida's mother immediately grabbed the glass and thrust it into Kailla's mouth. And Pram could only gulp down, imagining how much Kailla hated him right now. Even for the little things, Kailla doesn't want to be with him.

Like getting a hard slap, but this one hurts more. If you can choose, Pram would rather Kailla slap with her hand than slap with her attitude like this. The pain is many times over. Not visible, not bleeding but piercing directly into the heart.

“Bu, don't go. Stay seated here,” pinta Kailla. Grabbing Mother Ida's hand, to be near her.

“Yes, Mom's not leaving. Mom will be here,” entertain her.

Before long, it appeared that a nurse came in with a sphigmomanometer to check Kailla's blood pressure and make sure the intravenous fluid was still filled.

“How's Mom, already feeling better?” the nurse smiled as she waited for the results.

“The stomach still likes cramps, Sus. The head is also still dizzy,” said Kailla slowly.

Pram who stood not too far from the two just listened, did not dare to speak too much. Kailla still has not made peace with him. He did not even have a chance to tell the pregnancy news to his wife.

“It's okay. In the early days of pregnancy is like that,” said the nurse with his leisure.

“Congratulations on the pregnancy of her twin babies. For a while, I had to bedrest,” he continued. Without knowing that Kailla has not known the news of her pregnancy.

“Blood pressure 70/110,” clearly the nurse read the numbers listed on the small screen tensimeter in her hand.

Kailla was surprised, her hands reflexively rubbing her own stomach. There is a sense of haru mixed with sadness. His tears dripped without being able to be dammed again. The baby, who had been waiting and asked for every prayer, finally came. And God was kind, giving him more. Not just one, there were currently two babies inside his body. Share your breath and life with him.

“Today the obstetrician who handles the mother has finished the practice. So mom is scheduled tomorrow to do the checkup,” the nurse told me kindly.

“Thanks, Sus,” says Kailla's still sobbing.

“I'm all alone, Mom. It's a shift change schedule. Soon there will be my colleagues who will check the condition of the mother periodically,” said the nurse.

After the nurse left, Kailla's tears broke. Sobbing while rubbing his own stomach. Pram who could not bear to see Kailla's cry, tried to get closer. He took his wife, trying to calm her.

“I'm sorry,” whispered Pram in between his arms.

“I'm sorry, I'm guilty of you guys,” continued Pram, tidying up Kailla's messy hair.

“Don't cry like this. Pity our son,” entertain Pram, wipe the tears of Kailla who poured down profusely.

*“God, thanks. I was happy with my pregnancy, but I was still disappointed with my husband. He was so heartened to leave me without news, to divorce me when I begged him. And now he came up with his apology. *

*I know, I can't reply and do the same thing he did to me. I know, I can't leave because of my kids. *

I know very well how painful it is to not have a complete parent. I don't want to be selfish and I know my husband will also choose not to be selfish for the sake of our children. I can't let my kids feel the same way as I do.”

At nightfall, Mother Ida who had been exhausted all day asked Pram to come home. Leave him alone to wait for Kailla in the treatment room.

Kailla, who still does not want to be approached, forces Pram to choose to sleep on the sofa. The man slept on his back, straightening his legs across the sofa bed with both hands folded over his chest.

In the middle of the night, Kailla awakens from her sleep.

“Aduh. I want to pee,” he said slowly.

There was no Mother Ida he could call out to please as usual. Not bad either, constantly calling the nurse in the middle of the night, even though she could have done it.

Staring at Pram who fell asleep on the sofa. She wanted to ask for help, but her disappointment was still too great for her husband.

With a determination, Kailla chose to go to the restroom by herself. Remove the infusion fluid that hangs on the bedside pole and carry it along.

Just lowering his feet to the floor, a masculine voice sounded to his surprise.

“Honey, where are you going?” pram asked, suddenly already standing in front of Kailla.

Kailla did not answer, choosing to ignore Pram's question.

“Where are you going, Kai? Doctors don't let you get out of bed, ” explained Pram, rubbing his still sleepy eyes.

Seeing that Kailla did not reply, Pram forced his wife to return to bed.

“You can't go anywhere!” pram's orders, carrying Kailla back to bed, grabbed the intravenous fluid from his wife's hand as she saw blood begin to rise to the infusion tube.

“I want to pee! If you can't go anywhere, then I have to pee here!” kailla exclaimed pointing towards the bed, looking annoyed.

“Please,” pinta Pram, hand over the infusion liquid back to Kailla. He gave a smile when he saw his wife's annoyed and pouting face.

Without saying much, immediately grabbed Kailla's body and carried her bridal style.

Pram's feeling was again struck down, as he felt Kailla's body being lighter and thinner than before. Kailla is currently pregnant with her child. Where should Kailla get fatter with two healthy fetuses in her womb.

“If you need anything, tell me,” Pram said, kicking the bathroom door and lowering Kailla inside there.

After taking down Kailla, Pram is still reluctant to get out. Stand and wait inside the cramped hospital bathroom.

“Out! Why stand here,” push Kailla, see Pram still standing looking back at him.

“I can't leave you. I'm afraid something happened to you,” explained Pram. Like a dejavu, remembering four years ago. Where Kailla had a miscarriage in the bathroom.

“I can't pee, if you watch me like this,” Kailla said annoyed.

“Out!” drive Kailla away again, in a tone full of anger.

“I'm out, but the door is not closed. I wait at the door,” pinta Pram begs.

“Not the same then!” kailla grumbled, pushing Pram's body out of the bathroom, slamming the door violently.

Just sitting in a sitting toilet, Pram was already shouting from outside while banging on the bathroom door.

“Kai, don't lock the door,” pinta Pram, back pleading.

Five minutes, ten minutes, until almost half an hour had passed. Pram yells almost crazy in front of the bathroom door. Kailla did not come out, nor did she speak.

“Kai.. What happened? Open the door Darling,” cried Pram, banging on the bathroom door in panic.

“You're pranking me, right, Kai? You're okay, aren't you, honey?” yell Pram again.
