The Marrying The Prince

The Marrying The Prince
78

The African continent has three different climates in three different parts. And today, after weeks of grueling long journeys, Ferdinand and Solar were able to return to land.

The scorching sun of the tropical climate that shines on the African continent on the equator, making Solar has opened all his knight mantle even he almost opened his shirt if he forgot where he was. The feeling of sunlight the tropical climate near the sea is very stinging for him who used to live on a continent that has four climates with the sun that often half-heats part of it.

Solar glanced at Ferdinand who kept smiling gleefully while humming discordantly. Sometimes Ferdinand's hand wiped his shiny wet temple but still smiled gleefully. Solar looked back at his wet shirt, then at Ferdinand's shirt, which turned out to be much wetter. For two hours they were still sitting around the sea aimlessly like a child who lost his mother but, Ferdinand the prodigal still smiled despite having no direction. Even to communicate with the people around them they cannot!

"For God sake, Your Highness! You have a goal or not!"

Finally, Solar spewed out his annoyance. Ferdinand, who heard the tone of the upset voice, stopped his humming discord to glance at Solar for a moment, then resumed his banding even more discordantly without intending to answer Solar's annoyance. Solar wants to scream and cry now, for the sake of his knightly title! he regretted being willing to join the trip with the mission of 'chasing Ferdinand's wife.

The minutes continued to be telepathic, hours had been spent with Solar who did not stop whining at Ferdinand. On Ferdinand who was now tired of humming discord, and preferred whistling discord.

"My Lord, why should I be the right hand of this foolish prince"

Solar had finally reached its limit and was actually close to smearing the name of his knight's title to cry, if not to see Ferdinand who stood up as an exotic-skinned woman ran towards them.

"Mr Ferdinand and mister Solar?"

The quite beautiful woman with an appearance that looked like a native was asking using the language they understood while looking fixedly at Ferdinand and Solar. Ferdinand immediately thrust out his right hand which made the woman immediately welcome Ferdinand's hand.

"Ferdinand"

"Afra"

Solar glanced at Ferdinand who blinked his chin at Afra, ordering Solar to get acquainted. Lazily, Solar immediately thrust out his right hand

"Solar"

"Afra"

"Well.when did you get there?"

"Pa.gi.from pa.gi to so.re we wait here"

Angrily Solar answered Afra by pressing every part that provoked her irritation. Afra who heard that smiled amusedly and immediately took their steps towards the horse carriage.

When he was in the train, Solar without waiting directly opened his shirt when he saw Ferdinand who had done it first.

"Uhh. Here it's quite hot Sol"

What say! hot enough? Hot enough with all the wet parts of their shirts and brains on Solar's already boiling head? Solar snarled in annoyance, then took a few deep breaths to muffle his anxiety because, he did not want to spend all the rest of his energy. Its power is only a little because it is drained to whine and resist heat.

Inside the carriage, only the pounding of the horse's legs was constantly heard filling their journey. Ferdinand had already closed his eyes with his head turned and hands folded in front of his chest, while Solar was busy staring at the seedy scenery and was crushed during their trip which almost showed the time of night. Finally, the tired Solar fell asleep.

--000--

The humming of the sound that is not melodious at all continues to enter Solar's auditory senses, disturbing Solar's deep sleep. Which makes Solar's hands occasionally scratch his ears, also occasionally trying to cover his ears. Until finally his memory returned with that melodious voice. The memory if the voice was Ferdinand's discordant humming.

"You awake?"

With both eyes still twitching, the sound of the horse's footprints, and the movement of the horse carriage finally really made Solar sure that everything she had been through now was not just a nightmare, it's Solar's reality!

Solar that has been conscious to waste the breath resigned and forced

"When do we get to Your Highness?"

"Either Sol, I don't know and just follow them"

Ferdinand's indifferent and relaxed tone made Solar glance towards the front with his head still looking up. Glancing at Ferdinand who was opening a small box that Solar knew if it belonged to Anastasia who at the time of his departure did not bring anything. From one year ago Solar was always curious about the box that could definitely make Ferdinand's gaze turn mellow. Questions like, what box is that? or what's in it? it always meets Solar's head, but Solar knows itself enough not to be presumptuous.

Hours back they passed in silence. Sometimes they fall back asleep and then wake up again, and continue to repeat until the thick sky began to be slightly scratched because of the sunlight from the east.

And finally, the movement of the horse that stopped made Ferdinand immediately keep the box that was always in his embrace when he slept at night.

"Gentlemen, we've arrived"

The sound of Afra from the front door instantly made Solar lift her back. Ferdinand who was ready to go out immediately closed the window back, then came out when Solar had opened the door for him.

When it came down, Solar immediately gave a bundle of gold coins that Ferdinand had prepared to Afra and a man who became their coachman.

"Thank you gentlemen"

Solar only nodded briefly and began to shake his shirt back. Then attach his coat and Ferdinand's neatly next to his hand.

Ferdinand continued to gaze at the scene of the camp that stretched along the arid field where they stood.

"I'm confused where should Sol start, where do you think he's from?"

Lazily Solar rolled her eyeballs. Where does Solar know!

Solar's inertia made Ferdinand cluck while ruffling his waist. Solar glanced at his master who still looked confused, then said

"Pair properly your shirt, Your Highness. I don't want to see any other woman like Afra who keeps staring at your hungry shirt that isn't buttoned at all"

"Huh?"

Looking at Ferdinand's confused look, Solar rolled back his eyes lazily. Doesn't Ferdinand know, even though he only has a leftover brain, but Ferdinand is still a descendant of King Fredrick and Queen Victoria who has charm passed on to him? a pretty annoying charm for a mediocre guy like Solar? That thought made Solar cluck in annoyance, whatever.

Ferdinand who continued to realize Solar's frustration finally relented and began to button his shirt, although in fact he was very reluctant because later when the sun would appear perfect, the heat of the sun was very disturbing comfort. With a hand that started buttoning his shirt, Ferdinand finally said

"Take your sword Sol"

"Huh?"

This time it was Solar who looked puzzled by Ferdinand's remark. Ferdinand clucked in annoyance and looked at Solar lazily

"Take pe.da.ng.mu"

"For what?"

Ferdinand's gaze sharpened, and it was enough to make Solar's absolute obedience return. Solar quickly opened their bag and took out his sword, having previously glanced around which was still quite dark as the sun had yet to fully appear.

When he realized that Solar was already carrying a sword, Ferdinand immediately thrust out his upper arm. Solar looked at Ferdinand in confusion

"Hurry up, Iris Sol. Make it deep enough"

Solar's mouth again wanted to ask, but it immediately canceled its intentions as Ferdinand looked back at him sharply.

"How long and deep, Your Highness?"

"Whatever, make a natural Sol"

Finally, without any doubt Solar's hand instantly swung slicing Ferdinand's upper arm. Without a facial expression that showed anything, Ferdinand again poked one shoulder with his legs slightly bent to equalize their height. The savvy Solar sliced back into Ferdinand's flesh, continuously heading towards Ferdinand's other shoulder.

Ferdinand's white shirt began to continue to have other colors that continued to spread. While continuing to stare around while waiting for Solar to save back his sword, Ferdinand's discordant humming sound came back. Solar snorted in annoyance, he should have directly sliced through Ferdinand's vocal chords earlier! fuckin' hell!

Minutes passed until Ferdinand's shirt began to fill with red and his voice was heard again.

"Don't forget you've got to get me right Sol"

"Yes, gentlemen"

Ferdinand's amused smile rose

"Come on Sol, we're heading to that open tent"

As Ferdinand raised his hand to point out the direction, the pain on both his shoulders began to feel. Fredrick grinned, well.he would really look like a wounded man like this.

All of his pursuits could not possibly be immature. For months Ferdinand had been stalking and looking for a way to get into the room to look for something in his father's room. He was convinced that his father must have something to make him have the enlightenment of finding his wife's place. And as it turns out, what he finds more than a little, does not effort never betray results? And after he had a destination address, Ferdinand immediately arranged everything, learned how to get close and maybe be able to stay in the place for a long time, including for their transportation.

Because it was here that Ferdinand was now, in the camps that were made to become hospitals as usual to help the victims of war in areas that were always affected by the plague hungry busung year-round, poverty epidemic.

Ferdinand blinked his chin at a middle-aged woman who looked pensive. Solar who understood immediately stepped towards the person Ferdinand chose.

"Good morning madam"

"Yes sir?"

Solar's eye-tailed glanced at Ferdinand who was already sitting on the ground, then looked back at the woman in front of him with a worried face forced on.

"I heard that here are the hospital tents, may I ask for help to help my wounded master?"

Quickly the woman's head nodded with a face that had changed looking worried, completely worried

"Of course, sir, where are the injured? can he still stand on his own?"

Solar thought for a moment and then shook his head

"Can you help me?"

--000--

Ferdinand continued to grimace dramatically while the woman was cleaning her wounds. After doing his cheap drama, he was already in one of the tents filled with tools and also trolly-trolly. Ferdinand's point of view continued to study the circumstances around which began to fill the voices of the people. Because the day is starting to light, the activities at the camp will definitely be started

"Please hold on a moment sir, I will start cleaning your wounds deeper while waiting for the nurse on duty to sew the wounds. I hope my message was delivered quickly"

With a dramatic grimace back, Ferdinand nodded obediently with a heart full of hope. Hopefully, hopefully the nurse at the max is him. She's the one Ferdinand learned from the letters if 'she' became the nurse in charge of taking care of the gaping wounds. Again, hopefully. But, uh,

"Lilah?"

A middle-aged woman dressed in convent sister clothes came over while looking at Ferdinand's body anxiously.

"Suster Bernadeth, this is the man I said earlier"

Bernadeth immediately stepped quickly towards Ferdinand without being able to see the look on Ferdinand's disappointed face.

"Let me finish Lilah, will you help the others in the kitchen, please?"

Lilah nodded understandingly then, and immediately stepped away. When Lilah had already left, Bernadeth looked at Ferdinand with a warm smile

"Good morning sir, I am Bernadeth who will take care of your wounds in place of nurse Lilah"

Ferdinand only nodded in disappointment, while glancing at Solar who was holding an amused smile.

"Why did you get hurt, sir?"

"We were robbed on the way, because we heard that there was a hospital here, so we came here"

While starting to put antiseptic drugs before starting sewing, Bernadeth looked at Ferdinand fixedly, then returned to his voice

"I hear you're traders?"

"Yes Sister Bernadeth, we are silk traders from the east"

Although feeling strange with all the information Ferdinand, but Bernadeth still only nodded his understanding.

"Here the poverty rate is very high sir, therefore the crime rate is also very high"

Ferdinand's head only nodded originally. Bernadeth looked back at Ferdinand as he began to completely remove Ferdinand's top clothes. The face, which did not look like an easterner, could use the main language of Europe, was robbed somewhere, the body was bigger than his friend but was seriously injured. Although the oddity was very inherent in Ferdinand's appearance now, Bernadeth still did not want to think of anything other than treating the wound.

"You are very fluent in the main language of the European master"

Ferdinand thinned his lips while glancing at Solar who only blinked both his shoulders indifferently. Ferdinand looked back at Bernadeth

"We are traders who used to walk around in Eropan sisters"

"So" Bernadeth took his position when the sewing needle was in his hand. "The color of the wound on your arm is quite deep and it needs four stitches. Sorry if this will still hurt a little, because the anesthesia here is getting limited. And once again, forgive us sir if we can't provide perfect service"

"Don't be lazy, sister, please do as you can, don't feel bad"

Ferdinand spoke sincerely but more towards not caring. They knights even sewed their own wounds without the slightest use of painkillers. So something like this was just a simple matter for Ferdinand.

After finishing with the sewing event with Ferdinand who continued to grimace dramatically, Bernadeth immediately explained about the treatment of wounds. About Ferdinand's injuries that should not be exposed to water, Ferdinand who had to rest a lot first, do not move his hands too much, give drugs that should be taken Ferdinand, and, to explain the food that must be eaten during the wound recovery period.

"Thank you sister Bernadeth"

Bernadeth's warm smile returned to his lips

"It is our duty, sir. You guys please stay here until your wounds are completely healed" Bernadeth stared at Solar. "You can also leave it to us if you want to send a letter, because every two weeks we will go to the mailing place, sir......??"

Solar who felt that the question posed by Bernadeth led to him immediately bowed politely

"I So..... Somi" Solar cleared his throat a few times then glanced at Ferdinand. "And my friend is F..... Fredrick"

Ferdinand almost choked on his saliva when he heard the name selection from Solar. Just be right! is there no other name?!

Bernadeth nodded in understanding while tidying up his equipment, then his gaze glanced towards the window

"At the end of the morning the patients will be delivered. Please rest first gentlemen"

Ferdinand could only waste a heavy breath that was a condition of disappointment while glancing at Bernadeth who was already stepping out. When convinced that Bernadeth was gone, Ferdinand jumped out of bed. The new Solar would enjoy the comforts of the bed staring at Ferdinand in bewilderment

"Your Highness?"

"I just want to look around for a minute"

While wearing his shirt, Ferdinand spoke and headed straight for the exit.

Ferdinand carefully slipped between the tents where the patients and other places Ferdinand did not know what. His direction of view sharply and focused on looking around, looking around, and looking at the surrounding. The quiet morning state with only a few new activities began to make Ferdinand a little constrained to be free to lurk, especially to find someone.

All the senses in Ferdinand's body began to continue to be sensitively attached, he was in silence and trained to continue to sneak and examine each of the contents of the tent especially, he said, in voices that are growing as time goes on.

Until Ferdinand's steps stopped.

At that moment, the sound of laughter, the voice that for more than a year continues to haunt him but also the voice that he wants to dream every night. That voice, the one he missed so much. Unusual at the prevent, Ferdinand's heartbeat began to craze. The swirling that he did not understand continued to rustle all over his body.

With nervousness that had exceeded all the nervousness he had ever felt in his life, Ferdinand moved slowly to hide behind the tent. He continued to take deep breaths to calm down, continuing to close his eyes while folding his lips in order not to smile silly.

The voices there are getting crowded. Two men, four men, and six women. In the silence of his two eyes, Ferdinand counted and continued to calm himself.

Until he felt ready, Ferdinand carefully peeked out from his place, trying to find the figure of someone who made him himself already half as crazy as he was now.

And, without being able to prevent and hold back any longer, both corners of Ferdinand's lips were pulled high upwards upon seeing him.

He who only wears a simple dress, himself without using a luxurious hairstyle, himself who does not attach anything valuable.

He smiled happily without realizing that Ferdinand had almost run out of oxygen in his lungs.

"Aahh shit!"

Ferdinand cursed softly while chuckling to himself. Ahh shit! damn it! why did he only realize that for a long time he was always hypnotized with that smile. Long before they were married, long before he realized that beauty, far more than that.

"Sial you're Ana! turns out that girl was you!"

Ferdinand's softness continued to slide from his lips, from himself who had gone back into hiding.
