The Marrying The Prince

The Marrying The Prince
12

Feeling a little stupefied, Jane tried to refrain from getting angry. He is not used to small children because Jill is only a year younger than him and he is not close to other family members. His family cousins only came to Natasha's house, not to her apartment.

His days are filled with work. For him, work is a way of survival. Jane has a very disciplined boss. He could not relax and asked his partner, Britanny, to do his chores because Britanny was also busy.

So, Jane has absolutely no idea about how to handle or approach children, so she only practices from the movies she's seen. However, it seems that Daisy is not an innocent and shy little girl.

"Daisy, you can't do that to anyone else" Thomas said. "Let's apologize." Seeing Daisy shake her head, Thomas tried to persuade her. "Honor older people" he continued. The man's words were very gentle, showing that he loved Daisy.

"It's okay, Tom," said Jane, who immediately got up.

"Come on. Don't be shy" Thomas smiled at Daisy without caring what Jane said.

Daisy nodded. He raised his head because Jane was standing. "Sorry, Jane," he said slowly.

"www..." Jane's moved. "It's alright, little girl," she said as she stroked Daisy's head.

"But please don't call me little girl. I'm not little anymore."

"Okay, I promise," Jane gives her pinkie to Daisy to be associated with.

Daisy understood such a deal, and then she laughed and hooked her pinky on Jane's pinky.

"Princess Daisy! There you are!" A middle-aged woman in a maid uniform was stirred up to the three of them. "Welcome, Prince Thomas," he said politely. "Princess Daisy, you better hurry back before I force you to take a shower" she warned. The woman's white hair was carried neatly on the back of her head, giving a professional impression.

Thomas stand. "Helen, this is Jane Watson," he said, introducing Helen to Jane. "He'll stay here for a while."

"Oh! Is this the girl who's gonna be your wife, Prince Thomas?" ask Helen. His eyes sparkled as if he was fascinated by a diamond.

"Yes, this is the one" Thomas replied before Jane could open her mouth.

"Miss Watson, you are so beautiful!" The wrinkles around Helen's eyes were clearly visible when she smiled. "Prince Thomas will be the luckiest man in the world."

"Thank you, Helen," said Jane timidly.

"You want me to tell you Prince Thomas' secret?" helen asked half a whisper.

"All right! Daisy, get Helen in to bathe you" Thomas said.

Jane laughed and was amazed at Helen because she could still work even though she was no longer young.

"I'm sorry, Prince Thomas, Miss Watson," said Helen, who kept smiling.

After they left, Jane asked, "He's your sister?"

"Looking sister, actually. My mom picked it up after visiting the refugee camp. At that time, Daisy was raised by volunteers there. My mom hugged Daisy who was a toddler and it seems Daisy won't let go."

"Why didn't you take Daisy as your son?"

"No way! You're a good looking guy," praised Jane unconsciously to make Thomas speechless. "Oh. yeah, I mean..." Jane put herself in her heart. "If you've got kids, that means you're a hot daddy." Jane shook her head, regretting her mouth that couldn't stop.

"Thanks?" Thomas chuckles.

There was a disturbance between them. "So, what kind of job are you going to give me?" jane asked, eager to shift the subject.

Jane's anger becomes so when Thomas shows the uniform that Jane must wear when working, namely the uniform of the servant, just like Helen used.

"You're insane!" jane shouted in the Alcaz Palace's central room. Luckily the room contained enough items such as sofas, paintings, televisions, urns, and fireplaces, so Jane's shrill voice did not echo.

"You said you needed a job. I gave it to you" said Thomas, remaining calm.

"You know what? I'm not working for you" Jane didn't think. He already had a shadow when Thomas offered him to become an assistant. However, it never once occurred to me that the assistant Thomas was referring to was a domestic assistant.

"Oh..," Thomas put the pink-and-white uniform on the sofa, then he sat down. "All right then. Please return to Fadar Palace."

"What?" Jane thought hard. Should he force Thomas to drive him? The woman was completely blind. He also growled. "What do you want from me?"

"My mother? Miss Watson, you said you wanted to work. I just prepared it for you. As a good potential fiancee, I can't possibly let you become unemployed if you don't want to. Therefore, I offer you this job. You agreed, so I brought you here."

Thomas' wordplay made Jane even more upset. Damn, he couldn't pay back anything. He was wrong for not asking more details. Now he has reached Alcaz Palace and does not know the way back to Fadar Palace. Besides, there's no way he's walking.

Thomas held back a laugh from earlier while watching Jane. "You don't have to worry, Jane. I accept rejection when you're not ready" he said, adding to the woman's heartache.

"I'm ready" said Jane. "But on one condition."

"What kind of terms do you mean?"

Jane's not out of ideas. He knew what would make Thomas give up and could not force him again. A prince like Thomas would not likely qualify for what he was about to propose. "You have to marry me" he said loudly.
