THE MAFIA OF LAW
SECTION 063'S

“Hmmm, I think I know, why it happened.”

“What is it?” Jono looked at Christ curiously.

“He tried to clear his name before he became mayor, so he chose you for the lead.

You have worked and had sex with him for 20 years, when he was a thug at that time,” explained Christ.

“So, does he want to get rid of me so I can never reveal his secret? You bastard Miko. I'll kill you with my own hands.” Jono glared at Miko from a distance and gossiped in his own annoyance.

“Consider everything! Judge Lusi is entering the room. Ladies and gentlemen are expected to stand.”

Everyone stood up, waiting for Lusi to enter the room, then sat back down. Court's starting!

After Lusi opened the trial, Christ immediately stepped into the chair where Bejo was the witness at the time.

“On the day the incident took place, exactly one month ago. On April 13, 2023, at 10 p.m. do you remember who was with you at the time?” Christ stood before the witness looking at him seriously.

“Ya, I remember,” replied Bejo.

“Then, who is it? And where were you at?”

“At that time I was with Detective Jono at my own cafe.”

“Are you sure of your words?”

“Ya, I'm sure.”

Jono smiled from his seat, as did Yuli.

Christ turned to look at the Judge. “Your Highness Judge, as you can see, has just a witness prove Jono's alibi. So from me.” Christ bowed, then returned to his seat.

“ Legal counsel is welcome to cross-examine witnesses,” said Lusi.

“Your Highness Judge, I have a question to witness.” Sri stood up exclaiming.

“Ya, please,” says Lusi.

“Your Majesty the Judge!” exclaiming Christ did not want to budge when Sri cornered his witness. “Currently the Prosecutor has tarnished the reputation of the defense and witnesses.”

“Yes, that's right. You must be more careful again, Prosecutor Sri,” said Lusi.

“Pardon my attitude, Your Highness Judge.” Sri. “I want to present an investigative report written by the defendant regarding witnesses as evidence.”

Sri went back to her desk, took some files, gave them to Lusi.

“Preferred!”

“Good, Your Honor Judge.” Sri looked back at Bejo in the witness seat. “You have been investigated as a witness, correct?”

“Ya, right,” replied Bejo.

“In the investigation report that stated the first time, you confessed that you were not with the defendant at that time.”

“Ya, right.”

“I will ask you once more. Do you receive threats or compensation?”

“Your Majesty the Judge!” Christ stood up again.

TOK TOK Lusi hit the hammer, because the atmosphere is no longer conducive.

“Brother witness, why do you give a different testimony to the testimony you gave at the beginning?” ask Lusi.

The atmosphere was silent for a moment. Bejo was silent thinking, what would he answer. “I have lied at the beginning of the testimony I gave, Your Honor Judge.

But what I am saying right now is true. I was with Jono at the time of the incident.”

Luci smiled cynically. “How can we trust someone who has given false testimony in the beginning? Do I deserve to believe it?”

“There is recording evidence from his remarks, Your Honor Judge,” exclaimed Christ.

“Your Honor, that evidence should not be accepted during the trial. Acceptable evidence must be submitted before the trial takes place,” Sri said.
