Part 7: The figure of Emperor Baili

Emperor Baili, Baili Qingchen's nephew Baili Jingyan. He was a great multi-talented emperor. The emperor sat on the throne for less than ten years. In his memory, the character of this one emperor, was hard-hearted, ruthless, intolerant, calculating and also extremely cunning.

Emperor Baili is the second antagonist in the story after Xiao Junjie.

He was only three years younger than Baili Qingchen. When Emperor Baili was born, Baili Qingchen was already three years old. The emperor then ascended the throne in his father's place. It used to be that his relationship with Baili Qingchen was so good.

However, after parting ways because his uncle was assigned to the border by his father, their relationship slowly fades due to the dominant power.

Emperor Baili used Xiao Junjie to suppress his own uncle, Baili Qingchen for fear that his power would falter. Baili Qingchen possessed such extraordinary abilities that rumors emerged that he would eventually succeed Baili Jingyan and seize the throne.

When Emperor Baili was deadlocked for not finding a way to suppress the power of King Changle, Xiao Junjie was suddenly present in Baili Qingchen's life.

Hearing the story, Emperor Baili came across the idea that his uncle would come to ask for permission. Emperor Baili already knew his brother would not choose the pair he had arranged for him, and preferred to be widowed throughout life after the death of the first man's wife. The presence of Xiao Junjie might just be a bright path for Emperor Baili.

It became a reality when five years ago Baili Qingchen entered the palace with Xiao Junjie and asked him to let Xiao Junjie enter officially into the mansion of King Changle.

The Emperor agreed on the condition that Baili Qingchen or King Changle should surrender the army. Unexpectedly, his uncle agreed. Slowly, Baili Qingchen's power faded until Emperor Baili was no longer threatened.

Behind it all, Emperor Baili kept a huge secret that could destroy the imperial palace if it scattered out. Over the years, the emperor had always been wary of everyone.

When a strange illness appeared on Baili Qingchen and rumors spread among the people, the emperor used this opportunity to hide his great secret deeper. For this reason he obeyed the wishes of the ministers to marry a woman to the mansion of King Changle as a form of disease.

In the script it is said that at the end of the story, Emperor Baili will kill everyone in King Changle's mansion, the King of Changle, these included Xiao Junjie and Baili Qingchen because he heard that his uncle was secretly gathering troops to rebel and seize the throne.

The emperor also removed his prime minister and the rest of his family for deceiving the emperor for failing to heal King Changle after the marriage and successfully secured his position as emperor of Bingyue.

“Master, this story is absolutely crazy!” yinghao said as the girl told him in more detail about the character of Emperor Baili who is now her niece-in-law.
