“The Long Ballad: A Tale of Sky Pendant?”
It was the title of the script project he was editing. So, because of the script he came in here?
“System assesses the content of the story you are revising is too monotonous. There are some parts that are not precise placement. So, the central system chose you, giving you the opportunity to explore every soul in it through the mission we gave you.”
“Hey, I'm not the author!” he called out not to accept.
“System knows. But since you're in charge of editing, then this story can still be changed. You should think about it carefully.”
“So, you mean I got into the story I was editing? But, why is this locket suddenly draped around my neck?” qingyi asked as she pointed at the ancient pendant that was suddenly attached to her neck. The shape is triangular with a red jewel in the middle.
“That locket was a pendant from five millennia before your century. The title of the story is related to the pendant, then you automatically connect with each other. The system has combined the recording of historical data in the pendant with the story. You really are the one who was fated!” answer Yinghao.
“Five centuries millennium? Are you kidding me?”
The little panda shook his head.
“You can't believe it. But, all this is real.”
That way, Qingyi was able to deduce that she had indeed gotten into the story that she had curated herself, and the little panda that she threw into the pond was the guiding system that would guide her.
Wow, that's magical!
It is a royal romance, about a prince who once had a male wife and was forced to marry a female second wife by imperial decree, which resulted in two empresses in one residence. The prince in this story has great abilities, but almost died from a strange disease.
The main character is a prince who has an incurable disease. In his residence, there was a man who lived with him, people said the man was a friend as alive as the prince.
Where there may be a world created from in a script that has not even been written yet!
Qingyi thought of it as part of a delusion, but the object of a small panda in front of her was a real creature. He also felt pain when pinching his hand, it meant that he was not dreaming.
“Follow me to know the details of this dimensional space,” Yinghao said as he walked away.
Qingyi followed Yinghao as she continued to look around. Under the waterfall, there is a cold-temperature thin mist created from the friction of air pressure with water, making it like a waterfall in a fairyland. Up ahead, a small wooden hut stood firmly in the green grass.
The cottage has a blank yard that can be planted with plants. There is a small ladder to the entrance. There are many flowers that grow on some plots of soil. There is such a deep and felt calm. This place is like a fairy tale.
Yinghao opened the wooden door of the cottage. The room inside was quite large. There are some special cabinets of wood that store a lot of valuable objects. In the middle of the room there is also a soft white sofa and a glass table, then there is a closet that stores porcelain glasses.
Those things sparkle. Perhaps, the price was equivalent to five years of his salary as an editor. If it is like this, it can be interpreted he is a rich time-traveller. He has enough capital to support himself in a world that he has not studied.
In the other corner of the room there are also some everyday objects that are often used in the modern world. On the right side of the room there is a set of study tables complete with writing equipment in the form of paper, ink, ink containers and paperweights. Next to the table was a bookcase.
“Item in this room will increase if you can complete the mission.”
“Then, what role did I play to complete my mission?”
Qingyi suddenly remembered the storyline being edited by him. As he remembered, he only found a few protagonist characters, the rest were antagonistic and cunning, who had not very good endings from his characters.
Oppression, political intrigue, family conflicts, love affairs, those were all the essence of the crazy romance he was revising. Qingyi had already advised the original author to reduce his conflict tension a little and improve the ending, as most readers always want a happy ending.
If he gets a weak role, his business can be serious. Qingyi really did not want to be an oppressed role. He might die sooner.
“You'll know after we get out of here.”
Yinghao could not tell the system the secret about the role Qingyi had obtained. However, the little panda had faith that this new master could definitely play him very well.
Yinghao led her out of the cottage. The little panda told him to close his eyes. As things darkened, Qingyi suddenly felt her body as if it was floating. As he was enjoying this sensation, his body suddenly felt extremely cold as if it was freezing.
He opened his eyes. Now, he had been in a strange place that he did not recognize. Around it there was a lot of wet hay. The pungent smell of mouse feces crossed her nose, making the girl cover it with a finger. Around it was dark, there was only a hint of sunlight entering through the small hole above.
Qingyi was in the corner of the room in a miserable condition. Her clothes were shabby and torn. All over his body were many open wounds. Her cheeks are swollen too. When he moved the body, it felt so painful as if all the bones in his body had already been broken.
The smell of sweat and dried blood mixed with the foul odor in the room, making it like a pigsty that was never taken care of.
In fact, he did not feel this while in the dimensional space earlier.
There was a very loud shout accompanied by a rude swearing that did not feel good to hear.
“Fucking woman! Are you going to stay there?” a shrill cry reached Qingyi's ears.
“Yinghao? Can you hear me?” qingyi asked in a soft voice.
He looked back and forth for the little panda, but there was nothing but a haystack. Qingyi forced herself to move. His clothes were so shabby and smelled bad, that he himself wanted to vomit. But, more important than that was to know whose voice had been calling him rudely.
He dragged his body near the closed wooden window. His outstretched finger lifted the window lock, but his strength was not restless. Qingyi then peeked through her gap. It looked like a middle-aged woman was walking towards this place in a hurry.
"Who is that half-old woman? It seems like he is not a good person," Qingyi murmured.
Before he could finish thinking, the door of the stuffy room suddenly opened forcefully. A small beam of light flashed from the door, then appeared several large tall figures carrying wooden batting boards. Several men entered with the woman. Then, another woman who was two years younger than the first woman followed while crying.
"Good! You're lucky because you didn't die today!"
Qingyi did not yet know who the woman who was shouting with these cruel words was. From his habits, he was extremely arrogant and had no mercy. Qingyi's body was covered in wounds, but this woman didn't care about her at all. She acted as if Qingyi was something extremely disgusting and did not need to be concerned about her condition.
"Bring him!" the half-old woman's orders. Some of the men pulled his body to stand up forcefully. However due to being too weak, Qingyi had trouble standing up. He also felt pain as these men gripped him tightly.
"Heh, pretend weak? You think I'll be fooled?" ask the old woman. Qingyi was upset. He likes to be forced. This kind of oppression is not something that is acceptable, no matter anytime and anywhere.
"If you want to die, die after you get out of this house! No matter what happens, you should stay married today!"
Unable to stand the grip, Qingyi bit the hands of the men who grabbed her until she bled. The men grimaced and let go of Qingyi, making her sit back on the cold, dirty floor.
"Don't touch me! Your hands are too dirty!" exclaim Qingyi. Presumably, the fierce lady was a little surprised at his behavior just now.
"Fuckin' lady! You dare to fight? Hurry up, hit him!" ask the half-old woman. A man carrying a batting board swung the board into the air, then was about to hit Qingyi's back.
Not yet hit his back, Qingyi kicked the man's shins and grabbed the batting board, then hit the man with all her might. The half-old woman was angry, and told the others to hit her. It failed again because Qingyi fought back.
"I told you never to touch me!" Qingyi reiterated her words.
The half-old woman was really angry. He lifted Qingyi's body forcefully, then pushed her against the wooden wall near the haystack. As his strength ran out, Qingyi found it difficult to move.
"Damn it!" he continued to try to get up. His brain turned to think about who he was playing and who these people were.
"I won't let you continue to torture me like this!"
However, the half-old woman who did not hear Qingyi's curse instead walked up to him with a ferocious look.
