The Love After Agreement

Chapter 53

Madam Mona was silent after a while Gryson left the room, stunned to recall her son's words.

The flashback

"Are you sure of the accusation? What if everything you're accusing of is not true? Is Mama gonna apologize to her?" gryson asked without looking at Madame Mona.

"What do you mean, Chrys? Mama did all this just for your happiness. Mom is your parents who are left. So, Mama wants the best for you and your future. Mama doesn't care if Filia's proven right or wrong, which surely right now Mama just wants her to stay away from you."

Gryson was already feeling dizzy when he heard Madam Mona's words. Not that she didn't appreciate what Madame Mona wanted, just that she did need Filia to be her first and last wife.

"Ma, Grys is happy with Lia. Grys loves him. Isn't that enough to convince Mama?"

"Grys, Filia's not the right woman for you. Remember, you guys met at a nightclub and you know, right, what do women usually do at that nightclub? Mama doesn't want to have grandchildren from women who've been touched by other men."

This is what Gryson hated most about his mother, stubbornness and unwillingness to listen to the advice of others.

"Ma, Lia isn't that kind of woman. She's a good woman. If Ma–"

"If she's a good woman, why did you meet at the nightclub? Can you explain the reason, huh?"

"Did you want to know the truth?" gryson asked seriously and was immediately taken in by Mrs Mona.

"alright. I'll explain it. But, after this you have to apologize to Filia!"

"Hmmm, it's up to you." Madam Mona answered him indifferently.

"Grys found Filia when she was almost*os*the man who bought her. He was sold by his cousin Bellina. She was forced to accompany Bellina to one of her friend's birthday events held at a nightclub and that's when we met" Gryson said, explaining the circumstances.

"I don't believe it. Even Ellena did not like the girl. He was one of his family members."

Gryson took a deep breath before going back to saying, "He doesn't like Filia because she's always superior to Bellina."

"Even Bellina is no less beautiful than Philia."

Again Gryson could only shake his head slowly to hear the words of his mother. "Mama considered her beautiful because she was good at dressing up and looking attractive, while Filia only dressed up when we were both. Everyday he chooses to look simple."

"Reason." Madam Mona glared at the words of her son who continued to boast about Filia.

"As for Mama. Because in the end, I will give up and release my happiness. So, Mama didn't have to bother to listen to all my explanations, it was all just a waste." Gryson left Madame Mona after she said those words. For him, it was useless that he continued to speak because his mother would never listen to him.

Flashback off

"Am I outrageous? But what I said was reality. After all, Filia was too young for my son" muttered Madame Mona while sitting on the bed.

Rachel and Gryson used to be lovers, the relationship between them was long enough, which was about four years and had to end with Rachel leaving Gryson unannounced. That made Gryson very disappointed, even though their relationship was only a lover and had not reached a more serious level, but still made the man who is now the husband of Filia hurt.

Madame Mona still hopes that Rachel will return to Gryson. According to Mrs Mona, Rachel is the ideal type for her future daughter-in-law. Not only beautiful and fashionable, but also because of high education and has its own charm.

"I should immediately ask Jeng Lucy about Rachel's return. I'll bring them back as before." Madam Mona is determined to unite the child with her ex-lover. He would not care about Filia, Bellina, or Clara. According to him, the three of them were only a barrier to Gryson's happiness.

In another room, Gryson stared at the empty pillow his wife used to hold. "Darling, what are you doing there? I miss you" he murmured while stroking the pillow. "Akh, I can't stand just being quiet like this." Gryson got up from his sleep and rushed to lock the door of his room, not forgetting he also activated the soundproof mode room so that his mother did not know his activities in the room.

After he made sure everything was safe, Gryson picked up a cell phone to call his wife. "Hopefully Lia has not slept," he murmured slowly while waiting for his phone call to be received by the idol. Waiting until a while later, Filia received the call.

"Hello, honey. Have you slept?" ask Gryson

"No, Mas. Why are you just calling me now?" asked Filia in a sulking tone.

Gryson chuckled softly upon hearing the wife's tone. "I'm sorry, I accompanied you to talk first. Then, why don't you call me first?"

"Ck, wasn't this your idea, Mom? I also have to be careful that Mama doesn't suspect me. So, I've chosen to wait for your call."

Gryson was silent for a moment, forgetting that he was the one who asked his wife to wait for news from him. "alright. Ii'm sorry. I forgot about that."

"Hmmm ...." Filia answered Gryson with Deheman alone.

"Darling, I'm really sorry" Gryson said regretfully. "I missed you. I'm also sorry for making you sad this afternoon."

"It's okay, Mom. After all it was our agreement and right now I'm fine too" replied Filia.

Gryson and Filia agreed to pretend to be separated in front of her mother, which is why she didn't say the word divorce and just said let go. They wanted to make Lady Mona accept Filia slowly. But it seems like they have to be more patient because Madame Mona is a pretty stubborn woman.

"Sadly, for the next few days we can not meet," said Gryson slowly.

"I'm sad too, Mom. Let's hope Mama quickly bless our marriage."

"Yes, sure. I hope so."

The couple spent the night on the phone until the early hours of the morning, they had much to plan for tomorrow and the conversation had to end because Filia had fallen asleep while Gryson was still talking.

"Darling, are you asleep?" ask Gryson who looks at the screen of his phone if Filia is down. When she called, Filia did not answer Gryson. Eventually the man gave up and allowed his wife to rest.

"All right, sweetheart. Since you didn't answer me, I'll turn off the phone. Good night," Gryson said before he disconnected his phone
