Fortunately, Humphire's library is almost empty today.
I can take a break from breaking myself at any moment. I walk to
at the back, hiding behind a row of thick bookshelves is most rarely touched
anybody, lean against the wall. My body slumped to the floor, really
running out of energy against my vampire side. I haven't slept in almost a month
these. Maybe I could sleep for a while. I'm really tired.
"He is beautiful..."
Who'sis that? My eyes opened to hear a voice
which is very close. Since when did Leith sit beside me?!
"Eh? I'm sorry..would I wake you up?"
I pulled out a few hairs that covered my face.
Can't say no.
"Uhm.sorry"
"Forget"
"Not for yesterday"
Ah, right too, he almost attacked me. "You don't
until it bites me, it's okay. But why did it suddenly stop? I
grateful for that, it's just kind of awkward"
Leith smiled, she seemed to agree with me.
"Let's just say, a voice inside me stopped me"
I smiled a little at his joke. A sound?
It was as if someone was resuscitating it from within, as if it could.
"Why are you torturing yourself like this? Terribly
pathetic, a starving vampire..."
What the hell does he want? Touch up?!
"Unfortunately I can't offer my blood
to you.."
Eh? "Why? Because you are the lost
prince?"
Both of Leith's eyes grew bigger hearing the direct question
that's. He looked at me.
"Eh? So that's true?"
"You don't look like someone who
cared about it..."
"indeed not. I was just kidding. You know, no
it was easy not to hear what more than half of the disciples here were talking about
almost every day"
The expression on Leith's face was blank. Can't read what
which is on his mind. But not really, I think I can.
"Don't worry so. Like you said, I
no matter the truth. I'm not gonna tell anyone" I
gave a reassuring smile to Leith. He replied with a little
grinning.
"Trims", he muttered as he walked away.
What happened to his reaction? I don't know, it's none of my business.
To be more precise, I had no time to think about anything other than myself. Clocks
the break was over. But I don't think I can go back to
classs. I walked towards the back of the school building. Cold sweat
it flows from all over my body. My chest hurts as if something hit me
my heart. My body is not mine. My breath hunts every time I
cross paths with another human-student. My blood thirst is not restrained anymore.
The voice in my head came back. VanBlood, the vampire
turned me. His voice whispered, "Drink the blood of those humans
dry. Quench your thirst! Kill them!!"
I ran with all the consciousness left in
myself, to the back of a deserted school. Suddenly someone grabbed
my hand, pulled me into an unused bathroom. Shane!
"What are you doing?! Off! Leave me
by yourself!!"
"I know how hard you try to resist lust
for blood. And you also know that lust can't be held back much longer. If
keep going this way you'll lose yourself completely"
"I told you, if that time comes you should
stopped me"
"I can't"
"You're a hunter, Shane.."
"I can't kill you!" Shane cut
my words, his eyes were staring at my eyes sharply. "I don't want you to die
or become a vampire mad! You
don't give up, Key, on your life and yours"
"Mane.."
Shane sat leaning against the wall while pulling me to the
towards her, to her neck. "Drink my blood. Only with this can I
helping"
From this distance I could hear the swish of Shane's blood on
behind the skin of his neck. Bubbling and warm. "No..."
"It's the only way you're gonna survive"
slashing his own neck. But I'm faster. I grabbed his hand and
holding tight. The next second my fangs were stuck in my neck
Shane, suck his blood. Dahaga. I didn't realize time was passing
until Shane blurted out my name.
"Key..."
I jerked. Consciousness hit me. I was in
shane's lap, squeezing his body and sucking more than half of his blood!
"I'm fine" said Shane, the tip of her lips.
forming a smile knot.
A lie! He looks pale and limp. "Sorry"
"It's ok. You really held it for too long..
Don't do it again, ok?"
“Again?”
"Well, I'll be ready whenever you need"
Nah! This is not true. "I'm sorry. This
my mistake. I don't intend to do such a thing..." Fingerless
shane's index finger pressed against my lips.
"Sst..."
I grabbed the finger, lowered it. "No, Shane.
You're a hunter. How can you let a vampire suck your blood"
"I can do anything, if that's you. Already
I said, I like you"
Uh?
"I'm a hunter and you're a vampire. I know it.
But that doesn't change the fact that I like you"
A commotion began to appear all over Humphire. The vampires
must smell Shane's blood. I finally broke the rules
that forbids vampires from drinking in school. Shane seemed to notice it too.
“Report home. I'll explain to them”
“No ak-.”
“You will only get yourself punished. Quick left. I
can handle it”
I looked at Shane. Feeling guilty about drinking
his blood, it made him limp, and now I don't have much of a choice. I
follow Shane's words and get out of the broken bathroom. I
running as fast as I can to the back of the school, climbing over the fence and
back to Zero's house. My breath is hunting hundreds of times faster. I slammed
the door closed behind me. Found Karen standing in the living room, staring at me
with regret filling his eyes.
“Karen, you knew this was going to happen. Aye, right?! Because of that
you're not going to school! Andwhy? Why didn't you stop me?
Why didn't you say anything?!”
“A-me...”
Karen did not continue her words. He knows whatever
being said would only make me angry. And he also knows I don't really
not understanding the reason. Karen wanted this to happen. Because he knows
I almost lost my consciousness completely. No, even if he
didn't know he'd still choose to let me drink blood. In this case he
just like Zero. I pull my hair back. Step onto the couch
and drop yourself sitting there. I really ended up being a vampire.
I just bit and drank Shane's blood. How can they
let me do it, while they knew clearly I didn't
let this happen.
Karen didn't say a word. Letting me
busy pulling my hair. A few minutes later the door opened. Shines
and Shane stepped in, Zero following behind them. Shane dropped
himself, sitting leaning on one of the sofas, his face was still as pale as before.
“I'm really sorry.”
Shane grunting. “Do not start again, Key. I'm fine
only, ok?”
“No. You lost a lot of blood” Zero replied
preceded me. “If you're a normal human, you're probably in a coma by now, Shane.
Your actions are really sloppy”
“Enough, Zero. I told him to.”
“And you should have turned down Shane's ridiculous offer
if you're not stubborn all the time and vertical one of the bags
blood in my room. How many times have I told you that vampire lust cannot
held forever”
“Zero, this is none of your business! I made him drink
my blood. You have no right to blame him”, exclaimed Shane.
Zero looked at Shane, seemingly in disbelief at what he was
just heard. It's actually true that Zero has no right to blame me or
ban me every time. It's just that no one's said it all along.
And I can't say it with my own mouth. I feel myself too
wrongful. But Shane's words seem to anger Zero.
