The Lost Prince's

The Lost Prince's
Chapter 7 White Vampire (part 1)

Karen told me to survive. Hold on until you find a reason to

making choices. What is it with that kid. I got it

lately Karen's been trying hard to get back to her old self. Possibly

he thought that would allow me to recover from the trauma immediately

which we experienced. Though Karen's facing the same thing as me, old man

we were killed in a violent manner before our eyes. But it felt, Karen was trying to survive much more

good from me. Karen even lied and skitted in front of everyone for

cover up what really happened to me. To keep the fact that I

living as a vampire.

I don't want to be a vampire. Even if I have to die, I don't want to be

vampirism. But my body, every cell of it is now burning with thirst

immeasurably. A thirst that no human being will ever feel. Thirsty of blood. This

really disgusting. I can't possibly live with that body

they want human blood. I can't live with that vampire instinct

keep sinking into my mind. I don't want to be a monster. Because it's me

trying to end my life a few days ago. I'm not sure anymore

whether you just move and breathe can be called life. Is someone without

aim, without a dream like me that only the thought of revenge can

say still alive? No. gabe. It's not life. I'm not alive. I am now this

maybe only ghosts have bodies. I'm empty.

Funny thing is I still move as usual, leaving school as if I were human. Not because I wanted to, just because I didn't have anything else I could do. And school is much better than being stuck 24 hours a day with Zero. School activities are getting harder.

Just sitting in class is heavy. I can't stand being among all

people more than 2 hours. I feel like my mind can be swallowed and gone after 2 hours

elapsed. Ditching classes became my new hobby in addition to being alone in time

recess. Strangely, the teacher in Humphire never reprimanded the truant student.

But that way I can freely roam the school without hiding

from teachers. This time my feet took me to the sports rink located

to the east of the main school building. The place is very spacious, there are various arenas

a different sport. Like any other school, or

more.

"Sword?", I muttered while peeking at one of the arenas

sporty. The room I entered seemed to be wider than the other rooms.

Inside there was barely any object, there was only a wooden sword

lying on the edge of the room. Without a second thought I picked it up off the floor.

"Who..? Is that you, Key?", asked a voice from the other side of the room. I didn't

realizing earlier, there was a long sofa there. And a haired vampire

brown all over his face

up to the neck looked newly awakened.I immediately recognized the emerald eyes.

"Arion's? What are you doing?"

"Just like you.", he said with a crisp laugh. Arion seems to have escaped. "Do you want

practicing sword?"

"Eh? Ah, I was just looking around. It's strange that there's such a place in school.

I mean, who would wear a sword?", I said without thinking.

Arion stood looking at me with his mouth open, as if I had just said something

he can't believe it. "That Zero really didn't tell you

anything?"

I didn't respond, didn't understand Arion's intentions.

Arion let out a long sigh and flicked his brown hair that fell in front of his forehead.

He walked towards me. "Vampire fights with sword. Vampire students fill this place at lunchtime"

I just remembered! Vampires use swords to fight. Those who

come attack my family with a sword on the side of his waist. And also,

when it came to saving me Zero fought against them with a sword.

Karen told me.

"Ah, so you're wearing swords.."

Arion nodded back. Highlight her emerald green eyes looked concerned looking at me. But

I saw confusion mixed in it. Why is Arion confused? Nothm

it's only natural that I don't know.

"Well, how about I teach you for a second? Clocks

lunch is still long, we can be free here" said Arion suddenly

changed expression. "I'll get another sword, wait a minute"

Arion headed to the lockers that were fused with the wall. He pulled out a

another wooden sword from inside. "You learned to use the sword

before?"

I'm shaking.

"Then we start from the basics. First you have to stand like this, standby foot

shoulder width. Then hold your sword in front of the body like this" said.

Arion. "What are you doing? Not that you should

imitating me"

"But..."

"Come on

quarry..."

Basis, Arion. I didn't say I wanted to. I'm not in the mood to do anything.

But I can't refuse Arion. Surprisingly, he had the talent of making others follow

his will. Not because I was forced to, but more because I couldn't resist. I

exhale, begin to take the horses' positions. Arion looked at me with eyes

engorged.

"You said it was the first time you used a sword, right?", asked Arion.

"Yes. Why?"

Arion. "No. It's just, the way you hold the sword and take

the horses are perfect"

Arion continued his training session. He swung his sword forward several times

while stepping forward. This time I followed him without waiting. Arion

with quick steps and slashing his sword as if there was an enemy on the left

his right. Then he jumped up and slashed his sword back to the left right

in front of the back, then lastly he thrust it into the air in front of him. Arion

turned to look at me who started following his movements earlier. He welcomed me with

applause as soon as I finished mimicking his movements.

"I think you have a natural talent, Key. It was perfect!" said Arion.

A typical smile of Arion expands on his face. His sparkling emerald eyes looked brighter

than usual.

"Why are you using the sword?", I asked after we ended the training session

that short sword. "Aren't there many other weapons

going forward?"

"Yes.more advanced weapons like human technology can not match the speed

vampirism. Even if it could, the weapon was still inferior to the unique 'talent' of the para

vampirism. The sword is the best choice because the sword can help us but

we are still using the power of our own bodies to fight the enemy", he said",

arion. "If Zero says, the vampire has an old-fashioned taste" Arion

a little laugh at the end of his sentence. His laughter sounded bland.

"Arion, there's actually something going on between you guys right?", I asked a little hesitantly.

It's possible that this matter is sensitive to Arion, I should be careful to

not asking too far. "Sometimes your eyes look sad when

talking about Zero"

Arion took a deep breath. It seems like this is a strange thing for him.

"There is. I made him mad at me. It happened 2 years ago. I can't

blame him for being disappointed in me. But I don't want him to keep looking

distance from me"

My eyes are enlarged. Didn't expect Arion to open up to me. I didn't mean to

make him tell me more.

"so"

"Therefore I will continue to stick to him even if he does not like. I will always be there

for him from now on"

"You're really nice to him, and he keeps ignoring you"

Arion laughed softly at my comment. "I'm finally a friend

nearby. Actually Zero was just stupid. He can't express

himself well"

"But he's very lucky to have you as his friend"

Arion's face seemed blushed. He turned his gaze out the window. "I am

also your friend, Key"

This time I turned my eyes away. Not because of the blushing. But more because

embarrassed. Until this moment I don't understand why Arion wants to be friends with me. I am not a human being and not a vampire. I can't go back to being human and I don't want to be a vampire.

I just survived to avenge myself on vanBlood. Someone with

hatred and vengeance to survive like me are not worthy of being friends

Arion. I mean, Arion is very nice and popular, a lot

vampire students who want to be friends with him. Even human students

approached often. Not surprisingly indeed, given Arion's charm

handsome and friendly to everyone. He was far from such a dangerous impression

most of the vampires. Arion can be friends with anyone but me.

"I don't think you hate vampires anymore" Shane said suddenly as we were preparing dinner.

"Why are you talking like that?"

"Later you look very familiar with Arion.

Do you like it?"

"Eh? Not likely. I'm pretty familiar

with him, but there's no way I'm gonna like him"

Shane looked at me for a moment. "Oh, thank goodness. So what's your plan still the same, about vanBlood?"

"Have you managed to trace his location?", I cried

enthusiastic. Of course my plan is still the same. I'm gonna kill him.

"Yet. It's very hard to track down a healthy-minded vampire

because they hide well. If it's mad vampire we just need

a few hours to track his location"

I let out a disappointed breath. I think he has a lead

or something.

"I'll help you"

"Eh?" I throw my gaze back towards

Shane's.

"About your plan. I can understand

your feelings", said Shane. Hundreds of emotions filled his eyes. "People

my old man was also killed by a vampire, 6 years ago. They are vampire hunters too.

They were killed by a vampire who was vengeful against them. And me and

Shine replaced their position in the organization. We trained very hard

to avenge"

"So, what...?"

Shane shakes. "No. We never

killing him. The vampire was killed before we could avenge it

vengeance"

Apparently so. What happens to the revenge

their hearts? Did it just disappear? Or hang it inside

there forever? Or do they work as hunters to

channeling their emotions.

"So, that's why I understand what you are

feel it. I'll help you"
