The Lost Prince's

The Lost Prince's
Chapter 11 Determination (part 1)

"What's up?", asked Zero. Movement ceased.

"What?"

"From now you've been looking at me"

"Eh?" Did ya? I guess right. Zero has been practicing swords since this morning. Initially

I just want to see him for a minute. But I unconsciously looked at him

too long while watching Zero's movements.

"Is there anything you want to say?"

"Em.no. I just feel like you're very good at using swords"

"Oh" Zero brushed her hair back with her fingers, revealing her blue eyes

the brilliant. Sweat seemed to flow from above his forehead. "You want to

practicing?"

"Yeah" Not a bad idea I guess. I walked over to Zero.

Zero gave me his sword, then grabbed another sword from the big box

it was brought from the basement. "Arion told me that ability

using the sword is important?"

"Hm"

"But you can use arrows. I don't think it's necessary to practice too many moves like before. Only

just in case there's a situation where you have to fight at close range,

make sure you can attack your opponent. Don't hesitate, attack quickly. You

no chance of encountering a swordsman, but you're deft.

You might be able to win if your attack is on target. Look at this" Zero

move his legs while swinging his sword forward with a movement

slashing and stabbing.

I try to follow his movements. Zero looked at me and nodded.

"Don't hesitate. Like this, right into your opponent's heart" he said as he thrust his sword back

straight into the air in front of him.

I again imitated the movement exemplified by Zero earlier.

"Faster", he said

Alright. I repeated the move more quickly.

"Faster"

Again. The same movement with more speed.

"Make it to me"

"Eh?"

"The attack"

"Are you kidding me?"

"No. I'll be your opponent"

I'm shaking. "I don't want to fight you with a real sword"

"Vampire doesn't wear a wooden sword"

"I know"

"You scared?"

"Give you a sword, of course"

"Heh. That's the sweetest thing you've ever told me"

I grunt. "I already know how to do it. So already

enough"

"Not enough to know. We should try it"

I returned snorting. For a moment I almost forgot that Zero was indeed the one who

sucks. I hate it, but I don't mean something like wanting

stab him with a sword. He's really not sane. I just practiced swords

2 Weeks ago. So I haven't been able to control my movements properly.

If I get it wrong or can't stop my attack..

"Come on. Or you've abandoned your intentions"

Alright. "OK"

I began to step forward, swinging my sword. Zero fended it off, our sword

collide. "Avoid the sword, you will not win" he whispered

then he struck our swords and stepped back.

I went back to attack, this time following his advice to avoid a fight

sword. Like it or not, Zero is right that my chances of winning are slim.

"Faster!"

I bit my lower lip. Gathering all the power on my feet, trying

move more quickly. Zero's sword kept fending off my sword. He just survives, though,

without any attacking movement. And even though it was like that, my attacks were always

fended. Almost without difficulty. Maybe he can read my moves. And

again, Zero is much faster than me. I can't keep going like this.

I set my right foot, took the horses and fended off Zero's sword

and thrust my sword forward in a split second. I gasped

seeing the tip of my sword barely touch Zero's shirt. My hand is holding

the sword stiffened. Can't be moved. I raised my face, my eyes

meet Zero's blue eyes. The sweat flowing from his forehead to the side of his cheeks seemed

sparkling in the afternoon sun. A smile spread across his face.

My stiff hands turned numb. My fingers were cold, as if they were losing their strength.

And the sword I was swording fell to the ground by itself. I stepped

backtracked. Can't believe seeing Zero smile just now. He's nuts!

"good. Once again"

"No! It's enough" I said without regard to Zero who strangely seemed happy.

I turned back to the house. Walk as fast as possible up the stairs to the room. I grabbed my hair tie then

let my hair unravel. Knee limp. And I fell on the floor

beside bed. Grabbing my messy hair, grabbing it slowly. My fingers

still chilly.

"You're fighting again?" chirped Karen. His eyes are still on his back

Zero walked out of the house. He rushed away as soon as I entered the room

guest.

"It looks like they're fighting. What happened?", asked Arion.

I breathe out slowly. "I almost stabbed him with a sword"

"What?" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.

"Why? She's making you mad?", asked Shane.

"It's not. It happened when he was my opponent yesterday"

"You almost stabbed him?!", Arion repeated. His face was 10 times more surprised

compared to the time he heard me say it.

I'm nodding.

"Wuah! That's great! Zero was very skilled in swordsmanship.. Wait, he can't be angry

because of that"

Yeah. He's not angry. I wonder why Arion put on a sparkling face. Tastes times

here he sided with Zero.

"I almost stabbed him! You didn't hear? What a great part of that"

"Yeah, well... I'm sure you won't hit it" said Arion, apparently starting

understand who's angry here. "Your attack succeeded. And not on

someone else, but Zero. Just so you know, even if he's a nobody, his sword skills

high level for vampires"

"Well, I'm not sure, Arion. It was very close and..." I snorted in annoyance.

No one seems to understand what I mean.

"Key must have been worried about his sword hitting Zero" Shine said. "really

right?"

"Well.." Arion blinked his eyes a few times. "You don't have to worry about

it"

"How not?" I almost killed him.

"I mean Zero can definitely dodge it.um, he's.you know, really fast"

"Arion's right, Key. It was Zero's idea anyway, wasn't it?", Shine said.

"Already, Brother. Nothing happened and I'll let you know if I see anything.

I promise" said Karen. "Sister won't hurt anyone" Karen

smiling sweetly, trying to convince me. Karen can see the future.

He can tell me to avoid things like yesterday. I retaliated

his smile while nodding slowly tried to reverse my emotions.

"By the way, Arion, do you know about the Lost Prince?", asked Shine.

"Eh? What's?"

"Your missing prince, did you hear anything about him?"

"Well, I'm in no position to hear anything" said Arion who grabbed

a packet of potato chips on the table. "Why is that?"

"I heard the prince was long gone. Lately there's been a lot of commotion, it seems

some of you are starting unnatural movements.."

"so yeah. So you hunters are also observing what is happening in the kingdom

we"

"Well, as much as possible. Because our job is to keep human safety",

Shane. "You really didn't hear anything?"

"Hm. I'm just an artist. And I'm not interested in politics"

"It's really not helpful" Shane commented. His face intentionally showed

his disappointment. "I think there's a good thing we're dealing with vampires.

Instead we just got the acquaintance of an artist and a hacker

that introvert"

Arion laughed crisply at Shane's cynical comment. "Sorry we can't

used"

"The lost prince.., how could he be lost?",

I suddenly wanted to know a little.

"Ehm.. It's not really lost, well, it's just how most people are

call it", said Arion. "Your Majesty is able to hide

the shadow, which can be used to track the whereabouts of a person. Because

the shadow can't be detected so we started using the word missing"

"You said you didn't hear anything" Shane said.

"Well, everybody's talking about it. Besides, if this is just information, you are too

must have known"

"True" Shine said.

"So she's hiding?" I guess.

Arion nodded, and so did Shine and Shane who knew the story.

"He killed his fiancee" Shane said.

Arion's eyes seemed to be moving. He held his breath just like the new me

hearing for the first time. I think Arion is on the prince's side

that is, for some reason he doesn't seem to like us talking about it.

"Is that true?", I asked in doubt.

Arion gulped. "That's how it is"

"Because he's hiding? But isn't he a prince, I mean he must be.

it's very strong"

"Yes, it must be very strong" said Shine.“He could be an unexpected enemy”

Arion simply nodded, busying himself with cramming the potato chips inside

her mouth. I looked at Karen who had chosen to look at the drama

TV instead of talking about vampire princes. I let out a breath. I suppose nature

I wonder if sometimes it makes me wish impossible. Like, Karen got

a vision of a lost vampire prince. Ah, stupid me. Precisely me

it should be relieved that Karen didn't get it. Karen could only see time

the front is related to himself and the people around him only. If he

having a vision of the lost prince then great danger may be waiting

our.
