Chaptre 40. Heroes

The citizens had now gathered towards the place where Xu Chen and Yan Yu were, but in the middle of the road the citizens met their village chief.

"Village Chief." call a resident.

"Yes." Yeah." Huang Ho answered briefly, looking a streak of anxiety on his wrinkled face.

"What happened to all this fog?"

Huang Ho explained that their village was the arrival of two people who were in the prophecy, hearing that the residents frowned cluelessly, what a prophecy he thought. The villagers did not know about the prophecy, because this was the secret of the Huang family and the elders of the village. That was why the descendants of the Huang family had always been the village chief.

Huang Ho who understood the ignorance of his citizens immediately explained about the prophecy. The reaction of the residents was different when they heard the explanation of their village chief, some were amazed, some were afraid, some were afraid, some are angry at their ancestors for making mistakes that make them have to be confined from the outside world.

After that Huang Ho drove his citizens to meet directly with Xu Chen and Yan Yu.

"Finally done! I can get out of here," Xu Chen said in relief, finally they he can get out of this damned village.

But unlike Yan Yu, the girl was astonished at Xu Chen's words, she was amazed by the natural scenery around her "Woah! this village is so beautiful!"

How not, currently they are on flat land near the river and surrounded by high stretches that create a beautiful natural fortress, cut down by the cliffs there is a tall waterfall that is decorated with bright morning dew creating small rainbows around the waterfall.

"Hey, Chen! how about we climb that cliff? it must be very beautiful looking from above," Yan Yu said excitedly pointing at the high cliff in front of him.

But Yan Yu's wish was to get an unpleasant reply from Xu Chen, the young man said "If you want to travel then stay in this village."

Yan Yu snorted dejectedly "Basic youth is cold!" muttered.

Just as Yan Yu wanted to say further, suddenly Huang Ho from a distance called out to them.

"Master Chen, miss Yu!" Huang Ho shouted from a distance while waving his hands.

"Didn't I tell her to wait?" Xu Chen clucked in annoyance as he saw Huang Ho along walking the citizens towards him.

"Well, so that's our hero!"

"Look, he's very handsome."

"Hey, look at the woman next to her, she's so beautiful."

"Well, you're right! he's like an angel who came down from heaven."

"I envy that woman! she's so pretty!"

"I'm so grateful! today can see beauty like the two of them"

Such was the reaction of the citizens when they saw Xu Chen and Yan Yu, some were amazed, envious, and grateful.

"Master Chen forgive me. They wanted to see Master Chen in person!" Huang Ho lowered his head feeling guilty.

"It's okay! it's not your fault either." Xu Chen glanced at Huang Ho meaningfully.

"Sir, is there anything you want to tell them?" Huang Ho pointed at the citizens standing at the back.

Xu Chen nodded his head lightly and took one step forward. Xu Chen expressed his gratitude for having been yelled at in this village for several days and the young man also advised the residents not to look at people from outside, as their ancestors did, the young man said to always respect people and treat them well, not discriminate anyone.

"We'll remember what the hero said!" a citizen spoke.

"Our heroes love you!" the girls shouted, making Yan Yu snort annoyed at the smallness of the girls.

"Hey, look now you're a girl's idol." Yan Yu thrust both his hands into his chest.

Xu Chen responded like the wind. Xu Chen said since everything was done then he would leave the village immediately.

Hearing that spontaneously the citizens became boisterous. They forbade Xu Chen to leave the village on the pretext of having a party for Xu Chen and Yan Yu.

Xu Chen seemed to think for a moment before asserting the wishes of the citizens.

"I don't think you'll take it?" Yan Yu was astonished, however, that Xu Chen did not like things like this.

It was not only Yan Yu who was confused, Huang Ho was the same. Despite not being long acquainted with Xu Chen, but the old man was able to slightly see Xu Chen's personality, according to him Xu Chen had thus far been a person who did not like the commotion like a party and others, and so on, someone who doesn't like pleasantries or the like, and a hard worker. Huang Ho understood with that glance immediately invited Xu Chen to rest and ordered the citizens to prepare a big feast for Xu Chen and Yan Yu as well to celebrate their village that had been freed from the curse.

"Old Uncle Ho is there a cultivation room in the village?" Xu Chen asked after they arrived at Huang Ho's residence.

"Yes sir, in the middle of this village there is a tower where young women in this village practice cultivation" Huang Ho explained.

"I'll send someone to take Mr. Chen there" he continued.

Xu Chen immediately shook his head "No need, I can do it myself."

Huang Ho did not argue any further, he knew that if Xu Chen had said so no one could refute him, because it was a futile matter.

"Alright if that's what Mr. Chen wants."

"I want to come?" Yan Yu looked at Xu Chen like someone looking at his enemy.

Xu Chen snorted in annoyance but still obeyed Yan Yu's wishes.

"You may come but you are forbidden to ask so many questions." The statement was immediately greeted enthusiastically by Yan Yu.

"Alright, Your Majesty," Yan Yu nodded his head in spirit.
