The knight's destiny

The knight's destiny
Episode 32

"Quick moving!" exclaim Fsosa ordered the beastmen to prepare for battle.

It had been two days since the combat headquarters of the beastmen had moved to the West District. All of them seemed busy with their respective tasks including Luragorn and Lithia who were still searching for the whereabouts of the beastman that Al had intended.

Luragorn and Lithia were just sitting side by side watching the beastmen working. The West Disrict region itself was almost no different from the Beastman District, just that its location too far west of Midfraz made any human not interested in visiting. Heavy forests with a lot of river flow are also an additional reason.

The closest human kingdoms were the desert kingdom of Luqun as well as the maritime kingdom of Laqaka. These two kingdoms have not shown any significant movement, making the West District grow up without interference from the human race.

The state of the city seemed busy while these two adventurers did not know what to do.

"Hi you two, is there any free time?" tanya Flowy removes the reverie of Luragorn and Lithia.

"Why?" reply Lithia with another question.

"I think I found the man you're looking for."

The footsteps of the children were running around in the vast field. Looks like the beastman boys are enjoying the game they are playing. Not far from there stood a fox beastman observing, or rather watching from a distance.

Luragorn could not recognize the person Flowy pointed at, considering that the beastman was not in [disengagement] mode. Even so, Luragorn and Lithia still approached him to make sure.

"Hi, that one over there," called Luragorn who made the fox beastman turn around.

The beastman's eyes widened and instantly kept their distance while pulling out his jagged dagger with a defensive position.

"Not wrong," Luragorn's mind established his choice.

"You're Kruxy, right?" asked Lithia in a friendly tone.

"What do you want?" Kruxy asked back to reduce his vigilance.

"I need your help, we need your help" Lithia replied gently.

"I'm not interested" replied Kruxy who then pulled out his smoke bomb to escape.

*Poof~

Instantly Kruxy disappeared from sight leaving these two adventurers empty-handed.

In the afternoon of a sunny day in the West District, a beastman boy was crying for no reason. In the middle of the crowd of people who passed by ignored the boy who was crying in the corner.

"Are you okay?" kruxy asked, giving her candy with a smile.

Slowly the cat beastman boy stopped crying despite the tears and hingus coming out of his nose.

"Mama ... Where's mom?" ask the boy.

"Let's find your mama, let's stand up" Kruxy took a tour of the beastman boy's mother.

Walk slowly and sometimes Kruxy uses his assassin technique to monitor the surrounding area within a wider range. Not infrequently Kruxy also uses his skills to entertain the beastman boy.

After a long search, Kruxy finally managed to find the mother of this beastman boy. The mother thanked him and walked home before the sun completely sank. A thin smile streaked from being satisfied with his actions, Kruxy once again heaved a long sigh of relief after helping the beastman boy.

"You turned out to be a good person," said Luragorn who stood not far behind Kruxy.

"We just wanted to ask," Lithia explained.

"I told you, there's nothing I can help you with! Take care of your own problems!" reply Kruxy without turning around at all.

*poof!

Once again Kruxy disappeared leaving Luragorn and Lithia with pitch-black smoke.

"I came home" Kruxy said, opening the door of a house.

The dark scene immediately shocked Kruxy, forcing him to rush to find something that could be used as lighting. As Kruxy took out a block of flint for lighting, it was a shock to find the state of the ravine house.

There was no one in the house. His heart was beating without the hassle of thinking the worst possible, that of a slave hunter. Kruxy's house is far from the downtown West District, but there has never been a slave hunter in the West District before. This added to Kruxy's worries, making him run to any place they might sell slaves to, especially from the beastman race.

"I do know of such a place, of course because of my work. But looking for everything is impossible. Even though I can run 100 km per hour for a long time, still .... AKH! SHIT!" inner Kruxy churned. "Wait a minute, what if ...."

Kruxy stopped her steps and thought for a moment in the silence of the night.

"Great!" inner Kruxy continued her run in the other direction.

Luxury trains with royal motifs on each side move through the darkness of the night. The chosen horse as well as a special coachman with the escort of several fully equipped soldiers. No one can doubt how special the horse-drawn carriage is. Too bad, it was not a carriage that carried noble members, but the beastman's children who were still a dozen years old and below.

"Sir Kruxy, help me," muttered one of the trembling beastman girls.

A dozen children were forcibly abducted for a kingdom. Their necks were shackled in chains and the shock of the carriage further frightened them.

Not long after, the carriage finally stopped as a beastman stood in the way. The beastman was Kruxy who looked extremely furious with a quivering dagger in his hand.

"Stop first, let me see what the car is about," Kruxy said, trying to hold back the jaws.

"Huh? What do you want midget?" said one of the soldiers who got off his horse. "Death to the beast!"

A huge sword swing was launched towards Kruxy who was ready in his position. Kruxy's eyes contracted rapidly and his body instantly moved without the need for an order.

*TRANG!

The faint moonlight illuminated this luxurious carriage, displaying the exhausted figure of a fox beastman. His breathing was disjointed irregularly, his gaze began to blur and his entire body cried out in exhaustion. His hand shook holding a knife as well as a bloody dagger, dripping slowly onto the moist grassy ground.

In front of him, stood two soldiers who looked fit while the other soldiers were lying on the ground covered in fresh blood. The two sides did not make any moves other than observing. However, it is clear who will fall first. The moment that happened, the two remaining soldiers would greatly enjoy the torture they were about to inflict.

"How is this?" inner Kruxy tries to maintain her threshold state of consciousness.

"IGNIST!"

*BLASH!

The two remaining soldiers were suddenly defeated right after the exclamation was shouted. One of them burned in a place while the other was slashed in the neck. Kruxy had run out of energy to stay sober and was finally lying on the ground.

"Sister, awake! Brother Kruxy!"

Kruxy's eyes slowly opened after hearing her name being called. Not long after that, the fox beastman realized that he was lying on his soft bed accompanied by his cute little sister.

"Thank God, you're better" said Lithia smiling at Kruxy.

"What happened to the train?" kruxy asked rather limply.

"Calm down, everyone's safe. Thanks to your time-stalling actions," replied Lithia while holding Kruxy's hand.

"Thank God," this fox beastman again closed his eyes once after hearing the good news he wanted to hear.

A beautiful morning welcomes Kruxy. Surrounded by the laughter of the rescued children, this fox beastman's room looked extremely crowded. In the corner, sat Lithia who was reading a book.

Kruxy woke up fresh. Kruxy looked at Lithia for a moment watching the woman who was gracefully flipping through the sheets of books. Some kids stop running around just to look at the book out of curiosity.

Kruxy sighed before finally deciding to speak."I will help you," Kruxy said instantly taking Lithia's attention, "but I can only be the messenger, nothing more."

"What?" ask Lithia who doesn't seem to understand what Kruxy means.

"You want to know the guy who told me to, don't you? I'll help."

“Really?” asked Lithia with sparkling eyes.

Kruxy looked at the few beastman children who were still busy running around here and there with his agility, evoking a faint smile on the face of the fox beastman.

“I don't like being in debt,” said Kruxy throwing a smile at Lithia.
