The water rippled quietly in a large pond. A natural pool surrounded by stone walls and wooden planks is installed around the pool. Covering an area of ten square meters, the pool of warm water was filled by a burly man with several scratched wounds on his chest which were fields also on his muscular stomach.
His short black hair decomposed downward after getting a flush a few times. Dropped slowly as this man named Luragorn decided to lean against the wooden wall behind him.
“How is the water, put–, Lily?” luragorn asked, looking at the roofless ceiling lining the bathhouse.
Next to the Luragorn hot spring pool, there is a pool that is also the same as a row of wooden boards as a barrier. There was only one woman in the pond, a red-haired woman was washing the surface of her smooth white skin slowly.
“Yes, the water is very good. Maybe we should come here more often,” reply Lithia swiftly.
The starry dark sky did not shine enough light on their place. Thanks to some medium-sized flint placed on some sides of the wall, illuminating the surrounding view.

Footsteps sounded with a relaxed rhythm. The two adventurers had just come out of a hot spring. A warrior with a black tunic and a silver sword along with a mage with a red robe and a magic wand tipped with a red crystal.
Luragorn and Lithia walked towards the settlement. The two adventurers had just completed a mission and were still outside the territory of the Reymin kingdom, but were still close to the location of the northeast gate of Reymin. Just a few hours away from the Reymin border, Luragorn and Lithia were quite calm about their situation. The clump danced slowly as the night wind blew softly.
Luragorn immediately stopped then held onto the hilt of his sword while Lithia directly grasped his staff tightly. The distance to the village area was not far, but the darkness of the night reduced the visibility of the two.
“Ignis!”
A magic circle was formed as Lithia lifted up and pointed the tip of her wand at the sky. A rather large flame was created above that bright red circle, lighting over ten meters ahead.
There was no one at their visibility, but Lithia felt an oddity was brewing. There was nothing at their hearing distance, but Luragorn felt a rather faint killing intent.
“Flore!”
The flames at the end of Lithia's staff suddenly spread into the sixteen cardinal directions, leaving behind a small blaze and illuminating the area it passed through. Hordes of black-haired beastmen circled around them at an unsafe distance.
Luragorn drew his sword and held it with both hands, and Lithia did the same with her wand. The two turned to each other to protect each other's backs.
It was too dark to count the beastmen, but one thing for sure was that they were all in [disengagement] mode.
“Princess, only about a hundred meters away until the settlement,” whispered Luragorn watching around while raising his sword face up.
“Do not, they will kill innocent civilians,” reply Lithia who then gulps her saliva.
In the distance was a wolf beastman with white hair all over his body. It was about 170 cm tall and had long scratches on its muzzle.
“So, Those called [Beast Hunt]?” muttered the white wolf beastman.
“Captain, how? Do we just kill?” asked one of the black-haired wolf beastmen.
“Yes. Just kill. Their whereabouts seemed threatening,” replied the white wolf beastman.
Wearing only an ordinary tunic as well as shorts, all the beastmen were modestly dressed even though the hair on their bodies covered the skin. Not a single weapon was carried other than their own physique. Sharp fangs and long nails are ready to use. All the wolf beastmen suddenly attacked Luragorn and Lithia after getting the orders to execute.
The beastmen ran over, as did Luragorn and Lithia preparing to attack. Lithia raised her staff which at the end still glowed a small flame above the red magic circle.
Lithia directed the tip of her magic wand to move horizontally from right to left leaving a trail of embers floating in the air. Lithia then pushed the flame streak forward using one hand until the flame stroke moved quickly forward like a sword slash.
Lithia repeated her movements quickly many times. Pull the line from the top to the bottom and vice versa, pull the line from the left end to the right and vice versa, obliquely or straight. All of those lines of fire were created fast and so did Lithia pushing those streaks of fire right after the streaks of fire were created.
5 ... 10 ... 15 ... 20 .. and counting. Lithia continued to perform the same movements intensively. Sometimes he changed his hand, sometimes he pushed the line of fire with the lower end of his wand.
Like a slash that cut through the air, all of them moved swiftly forward towards the beastmen who were coming towards Lithia. Some of the beastmen burned, some only burned in the legs or arms, and some managed to dodge.
Luragorn jumped quickly when there was a beastman who lunged from the side, dodging and then doing a spinning kick to smash the back of his sabaton into the head of the beastman who came.
Luragorn stomped one of his legs over the beastman's head then lunged forward. One beastman tried to claw it, but Luragorn repelled it with his milky gauntlet and then slashed it fast toward the chest until blood soaked the air.
Immediately Luragorn retreat by jumping while doing the rear salto avoid the safest of the beastmen who came in a row. Just when Luragorn made his fifth salto, several beastmen attacked and made Luragorn fend him off with his left hand.
Luragorn brushed aside quickly then slashed towards one of the beastmen then rotated in midair and kicked one of the beastmen right on his head. Luragorn then landed and jumped backwards instantly until his back met Lithia's back.
Lithia turned her staff then smacked the lower end of her magic wand into the ground, making a red magic circle that encircled the footing of these two adventurers. This red magic circle also enlarged and widened to a radius of seven meters around Luragorn and Lithia.
Some of the beastmen who stepped on the magic circle then jumped back while some more remained forward. The flames of the pillar of fire burned upward instantly, scorching those who approached while the central part that Luragorn and Lithia occupied did not burn at all.
“Princess, if this can be bad. We have to do it now,” firmly Luragorn grasped the hilt of his sword while staring intently at the wall of fire.
Lithia clenched her hands together in front of her chest then a bright yellow light radiated from Lithia's chest. A bright emblem of the king's chess piece evoked the smile of Luragorn who was ready to fight.
The pillar of fire around these two adventurers soon dissipated after, making some beastmen leap quickly towards Luragorn and Lithia. Luragorn who closed his eyes then opened his eyes slowly.
The coloured scene in front of him then turned black and white and a grin was fixed clearly on Luragorn's face. The beastman who lunged earlier was instantly flung with a cross slash across their chest, spewing out a thick red liquid in the dark night sky.
All the beastmen were shocked especially the white wolf beastman. His muzzle trembled and sweat poured out as he swallowed his own saliva. The white wolf beastman could only look back at Luragorn and Lithia, especially at Lithia's chest and the back of Luragorn's hand which emitted a yellow chess piece symbol.
“EVERYTHING! BE CAREFULL! THEY ARE JUST LIKE PRINCESS FSOSA AND MISS FLOWY!”
The screams immediately made the beastmen quickly retreat a few meters in alarm. Luragorn and Lithia didn't understand what was happening, but it didn't seem like a good sign.
The white wolf beastman immediately howled loudly calling for help while the other black wolf beastman was just silent and alert. Each time Luragorn moved his body, the beastmen jumped back immediately until they continued to increase their distance.
“Are they aware?” inner Luragorn asked as he stared intently around.
“Like Princess Fsosa and Flowy? Are they the same as us?” inner Lithia asked while gulping.
“Princess, what should we do?” asked Luragorn sparingly.
“It is likely that we will be killed, but it looks like the situation has changed,” replied Lithia.
“Change? Mean Princess?”
“Maybe we will survive.”
“But only a small possibility, given how valuable information can be retrieved from both of us.”
“Congratulations? How is it possible?”
“Do not attack Lura, pretend fatigue.”
“But Princess–”
“DON'T KILL THEM! TAKE THEM BEFORE PRINCESS FSOSA ALIVE!”
Luragorn was surprised and Lithia smiled faintly as the sentence was shouted. Luragorn and Lithia loosened their respective defences letting the little arrows anesthetize the two.
Luragorn and Lithia were lying down instantly and the beastmen approached, as was the white wolf beastman.
“There are strange, they are too easy to conquer. We were ready to fight them to the point of blood. What happened?” thought the white wolf beastman as he walked closer to Luragorn and Lithia.
