The retreat of the Salauster Kingdom forces left a huge gap in the coalition forces resulting in a chaotic situation. When they withdrew, all coalition forces took the same stance, retreating.
Salvatora did not order the soldiers to attack but instead returned to the fortress. He did not want to add to the existing casualties. Although their death was none of her business, Salvatora felt the need to leave a certain impression for the situation to remain in her control.
“Although those who chose to withdraw, I did not feel victory but only defeat. The death of these soldiers would definitely reduce the kingdom's military might on the border. Yeah ... Despite losing a lot of soldiers, at least I can know their strength,” Salvatora said as he observed the retreat of the soldiers.
Salvatora turned his gaze from the soldiers towards General Crock who was being guided by some soldiers. His face changed a lot when he saw this. He could not believe what he saw.
“It looks like all now will depend on my decision. He's too careless. He should not have fought them directly. But everything has happened. Inevitably I have to organize these soldiers!” salvatora exclaimed in a deep voice.
The retreat of both sides ended the fighting that day. Bodies were scattered on the battlefield in countless numbers. In the afternoon, just before nightfall, both sides took the bodies and buried them.
Voran was in the tent with an unusual look. Panic was evident on his face, sweat dripping from both his forehead and back. He was so worried and agitated when he saw the condition of his three Generals.
Never did he imagine the three of them would be so badly injured that they would be lying on the bed without moving much. Voran looked at the three of them with fickle gazes, as if he had gained some enlightenment from their condition.
“Their situation is quite severe and this situation will change the whole situation. Now I only have one choice. Although I have only arrived here not long ago, I cannot remain here. Otherwise, their condition would only get worse!” voran in my heart.
Voran's mind went back to a while ago when Salvatora unleashed such a huge and terrifying power. By the time that happened, he could do nothing and just fell silent like a statue, accepting everything that happened just like that.
When he recalled the incident, another thought immediately seethed in his mind. At first, he just wanted to survive and make everything normal. However, after that incident, his way of thinking began to change.
“After I return to the kingdom, I must immediately start everything and leave what I have to leave behind for a while. There's no other choice. I was driven by this situation and this is the only way to keep it all going,” muttered Voran as she re-asserted her thoughts.
His choice to withdraw from the battlefield has affected the coalition's conduciveness. Wallace Krom and Gregor Leon who also took a step back did not let go of Voran just like that. The two of them visited Voran after confirming the state of their respective troops.
While Voran was waiting for his three generals, one of the soldiers came in and told Voran that two visitors were going to see him. Without thinking long or looking for an excuse, Voran immediately came out of the tent to meet them.
He knew who had visited him when the day was over. With a calm face that hides the uneasiness of the wounds of three important people in the royal military. Voran met Gregor Leon and Wallace Krom in his tent.
“Oh ... There was an unexpected visitor. What brought you here?” asked Voran after brushing the tent cover cloth. He asked in a innocent voice without any guilt.
The slightly pale-faced Gregor Leon looked at Voran with eyes full of anger and questions. Then he said in a mocking tone, “No need to act like you don't know the reason we were yesterday, King Salauster! You know clearly what reason we met in the evening today!”
With no guilt and a flat face, Voran countered them. “I know, surely I understand why you came here at a time like this. You want to demand an explanation from me why I ordered the troops to retreat, right?”
“Yes,” Gregor Leon replied followed by a nod of Wallace Krom.
“No special reason. I gave the order after my troops suffered losses and some of my men were wounded. You should feel that pressure and that terrible aura, right? Do you think we can beat him?” ask Voran without shame.
Wallace Krom slightly frowned when he heard Voran's words. How could he possibly say he could defeat Salvatora when he himself had to strengthen his resolve not to kneel in the face of that pressure.
Gregor Leon gave a cold snort as he replied, “Yes, we can't beat him. But, that doesn't mean you can just back off without telling us. Because of your actions, we lost quite a number of soldiers. Do you know what the result of losing this soldier, King Salauster!”
Voran did not show the slightest change in expression as he said, “Yes, I know clearly. My actions will affect our current coalition and alliance. However, if I don't take that action. Are you sure we can survive that situation?”
Voran's question immediately made Gregor Leon speechless. Not only him, but Wallace Krom as well. They both understood the situation on the battlefield. There was not the slightest chance of them surviving against Salvatora. Although they do not want to admit it, they know that Voran's decision is the right choice.
Voran looked at them with a resolute and unwavering look. “Although our trust will be shattered, I must take that action. By pulling back my troops, you followed him. So, I also saved your troops. If I don't do it, have you ever been in your mind to back off?”
Wallace Krom shook his head inwardly, as did Gregor Leon. They felt there was still a chance to change the battle. So, there was no thought of withdrawing the troops from the battle.
“Yah ... In the end, this was just my rational decision. If you feel my decision is very detrimental and this coalition is not worth defending. No why. I understand all of that, so I will accept what your decision is,” Voran said in a firm tone with no regrets.
After that he connected it again by saying, “Tomorrow, I will not bring down a single soldier to fight and maybe I will retreat from this war and give up the border. Right now, the man was still a frightening specter compared to the royal army!”
“Alright, I know what your decision is, King Salauster. I will consider it,” said Gregor Leon with a serious look.
Wallace Krom seemed to think about this situation and said, “Lihar only tomorrow.”
After that, the two of them left the camp of the Salauster Kingdom lightly. They seemed to be full of thought when they left the camp.
Voran remained inside the tent and as soon as the meeting was over, he dropped himself onto the chair while showing a face full of burden and frustration. At the same time, there was a figure of a man who approached Voran's tent with firm steps.
