After taking a break and enjoying the tranquility in the backyard of the palace, Voran thought of seeing two prisoners who possessed great power. He needed both of them and wanted the two of them to be under his orders.
The ability of the two of them would greatly increase his military strength. There was no doubt in his mind.
Moreover, Selek Valaunter, he actually has the ability in the military field that is not inferior to Veus and his own cultivation is also high. These two things alone had made Voran want him.
Inside the prison, Voran hears the two of them talking and he waits for it to end before revealing himself.
As soon as he showed himself, he immediately looked at the Selek Valaunter who had a grim and deadly gaze.
“Select Valaunter, the famous Old General of the Kingdom of Arannor. The only marshal who controls the entire military of the kingdom.” Voran praised him by mentioning the title that Selek Valaunter had.
“You lost the fight against Grim Larsson and ended up here. How are you feeling right now, Valaunter?” Voran asked Selek Valaunter calmly and with a strong interest in him.
As soon as the Valaunter did not answer him, he only let out a cold snort, and gave a look that was more savage than a savage beast.
In one breath the aura becomes stronger which makes the feathers stand up. Voran did not change as he looked at his eyes nor felt his aura. He really did not care what Selek Valaunter was thinking at the moment.
“You must be angry about that defeat. A defeat that wreaked havoc on your kingdom and left the King and his family all killed. However, you should know Valaunter. They died on my orders-” Voran said calmly.
Voran tells Selek Valaunter the death of Westian and his entire family. Their deaths were based on their decisions.
As he said so, immediately the face of the Valaunter turned cruel and extremely cold. His aura burst out and made the iron bars tremble despite the blood dripping from between his lips.
When the mountain was about to erupt and cause destruction, Voran immediately said, “but I saved your family.”
The words were soft and flat, as if not something big. However, that sentence immediately shattered the anger that was in Valaunter's mind.
“Now that the fate of your family is in your hands, their life and death are with your decision. Are you loyal to a ruined kingdom or to a new one?”
Voran stood up with a triumphant smile on his face. The look in his eyes also exerted a different pressure.
His calm demeanor as if he controlled everything and knew what the Select Valaunter would say made anyone who saw him feel uneasy and depressed.
Mival Belloc listened to Voran's words and could not help but think about the fate of his family. A feeling of being controlled and helpless immediately filled him.
Unlike the Mival Belloc, the Select Valaunter wished that he had died in the previous war rather than being in this kind of situation.
Valaunter really did not have the mind to erase his loyalty. However, when he recalled the fate of his family, his feelings started to become chaotic.
“What does this have to do with my family. They yes them, I yes me!” bentak Selek Valaunter tries to break ties with his family and endure all the bad things that will happen later.
“You can control them the way you want, but you won't be able to do it to me. It can and will never happen! My sword is for those I deserve and you are not one of them!” firmly Valaunter with a hoarse and agitated voice.
Voran is not prettiest by Valaunter's words. He knew the situation would always develop at this point. He only looked at her with a look of mercy, a gaze that appeared when he saw an ant.
“You might think I'm gonna kill you and your family, right?” asked Voran in a worried tone.
“I'm not that low,” said Voran firmly like a saint.
“Moreover, I'll just skin your family right in front of your eyes and let you live. Well ... I want to see how you can survive through that hell. You're a tough guy and the guy with that attitude I really want,” he said coldly and with a murderous look.
“How dare you .. “ Valaunter grit his teeth in anger, but at the same time he is also helpless. He was a little shaky, but his aura was even stronger.
Voran is so calm when facing Valaunter who is so stubborn and reluctant to give up on him even though he is already in a situation that can not be saved anymore.
Voran was unaffected by the change in situation that occurred in the blink of an eye as a result of the aura released by the Valaunter.
Even though he had already broken through, the aura that Valaunter released was still suppressing him. It made him a little less warty, but Voran hid it.
Inside that narrow prison, he saw Valaunter and Mival Belloc. Although, his focus continued to be on the Valaunter. Voran didn't ignore Mival Belloc.
As long as the two of them were willing to accept his offer, he did not hesitate to give them both a position that was within his means.
Voran observed the change in Valaunter's expression. His tangled face still gave off an immeasurable sense of pressure.
Had he not broken through, it would have been difficult for him to be in front of the Valaunter like he was today. Even so, he felt that he was beginning to see positive changes in Valaunter.
Voran felt that the man was considering what he said just a moment ago. It is difficult to ignore the survival of a family when the choices are very lame.
Voran paced back and forth and set his sights on Valaunter and Mival Belloc alternately. By observing their expressions, he could surmise what they were going to do.
Voran did that long enough. He did not ask anymore and continued to observe the two of them calmly.
Hainz broke out in cold sweat as he accompanied Voran inside the prison. Witnessing the situation running, he could not help but gulp down whenever he felt the change in the weight of the air around them.
Voran watched Valaunter and Mival Belloc. He knew one of them had made a decision and it happened after he came to the place.
Voran hopes for Valaunter to melt down and is willing to join him. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Only Mival Belloc decided to follow him.
“Can you really do nothing to my family?” There was only one thing Mival Belloc was worried about since he was caught and imprisoned. He was very worried about his family. Without knowing her family situation, she could not calm down.
Voran listened to him and he smiled as he looked at the look on Mival Belloc's face which showed a weak and worried side.
“You can rest easy, as long as you are in prison, they are your guarantee. I just need to know what attitude you have towards me. Now, I've seen it so I can guarantee that they'll stay alive.”
Voran did not feel overwhelmed at all by what he said to Mival Belloc. Her smile that was so warm exuded a cold aura to those who saw her.
In fact, even Valaunter felt that Voran looked two-faced. He said something cruel with a warm smile.
Although he said it with a smile, his eyes emitted a soul-piercing chill.
His gaze was so horrible and intimidating. Mival Belloc who had originally gained hope also felt that everything could change in just the blink of an eye.
Mival Belloc believes that Voran would have killed his entire family had he insisted on his initial decision.
Although Voran did not give him an offer directly or say it explicitly. He felt that Voran's words to Valaunter were also addressed to him.
Therefore, Mival Belloc thought seriously, he could not make a mistake that would lead him to a ruin.
If only he would face the consequences of rejection, he would not hesitate to stick to his initial choice. However, all was not in line with his expectations.
“Mival Belloc, there is no need for you to fret about your family situation. They are safe and alive. Now, you just need to give all your energy and mind to serve me. I am your King, fight for me and my people.”
Voran turned around and looked at Mival Belloc who was looking at him with doubtful eyes.
Voran saw doubt in Mival Belloc's eyes as the man looked at her. Upon seeing it, he hurried to turn his gaze back to the Valaunter who was still fixed at the starting position.
His expression had indeed undergone a change but not much. Voran sighed a little when he saw her. He knew it would be difficult to tear down the walls that Valaunter had.
“They ... residents of Arannor Kingdom will be my people and I do not discriminate against them. Therefore, you must fight for them by fighting on my behalf and bringing glory and victory to the Kingdom of Salauster! Put it in your head Belloc,” said Voran.
By releasing the fire of his spirit and emphasizing the struggle for the people. Voran gave a different appearance from before, as if the previous events did not come from him.
Mival Belloc also saw Voran with a different light, as well as the Select Valaunter. His words made the atmosphere different.
“Kingdom and King may change, but the inhabitants and the people will remain!” Voran confirmed it again and said it out loud and full of emphasis.
