The Devil's Dribble Husband

The Devil's Dribble Husband
Chapter 57. Reunite

"I didn't kill Lilith! I'm not a murderer! It was an accident!"

Ellard felt panicked, as she had lost the lives of two women in the same place. Thick blood flowed from Lilith's head. His eyes closed tightly. And his well-moving chest movements descended while breathing was nowhere to be seen anymore.

"Did I touch her too much? Are my fingerprints left on her body?"

Ellard was confused to face this situation alone. He took a thousand, and left his mistress lying helpless on dry leaves and shrubs.

"It's okay! Everything will be fine. No one knows I killed him. There's no CCTV in the middle of the woods."

Ellard tried to calm himself. His breath that was tight and heavy, now began to feel light. However, his body was still trembling strongly. With little power left, Ellard ran back to his car and hurried away.

"I just need to get out of here, before Lilith's body is found. I'm going as far away as I can, to a place that the police can't track. If I could leave now, everything would be fine."

Fifteen minutes into the ride, Ellard still had not crossed paths with the other riders. His heart was quite relieved. That means the horrific incident had no eyewitnesses.

Rrtr...

The sound of his HP ringing, made Ellard's heart almost jump out. He looked at the name on the screen, then picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Ah, Mr. Ellard. Finally you can be contacted." There was a voice of a man across the street.

"Yes, how? Have you changed the letter?" ask Ellard.

"Look, Sir. There was a slight problem in the heirs of all the buildings belonging to Lady Eleanor. So we can't engineer the letter carelessly, because it involves other people in it. Not just Mr and Mrs Eleanor. If caught we can both be punished," explained the man.

"What are you talking about, anyway? That's muters? Get to the point!" ellard was not impatient.

"The heir of all the buildings and property of Lady Eleanor is Arella Andzelika. Not Mr. Ellard" replied the man on the phone.

"Who? Arella?" repeat Ellard. His heart burned at the sight of that name.

"Yes, sir."

"Suckers! Who the hell, Arella? So he purposely teamed up with Lady Eleanor and played around with me, to ruin my life? Look at it later, I'll find them and ruin their lives" Ellard exasperated. His legs pressed the car gas even deeper.

"Sir Ellard, are you still there? I'm not done talking yet" murmured the man across the street.

"Yes, the phone is still connected," Ellard replied lazily.

"Surely you can take care of this matter legally."

"How?" ask Ellard.

"The father just brought a marriage certificate, family card and identity card to the notary's office, then took it to the notary's office. You can present yourself as a legitimate heir."

"Benersan can?" ellard.

"By law you can. Because you're the only family Mrs Eleanor has, right? Unless Mrs Eleanor has made her own inheritance," the man said on the phone.

"Well, if it's real, I can take back all those buildings, sell them and rush off overseas. But before that I have to find Arella first, so she's responsible for everything she's done to me."

Ellard was already impatient to quickly go to the city, to take back his property.

"Duh, where the hell is it? I think Anella used to keep it here?"

Ellard unloaded all of his wife's file drawers first. All the contents had moved to the floor, but what he was looking for was still nowhere to be found.

"Stupid me. Why didn't I take it? I don't think it will be used again" Ellard said.

"What are you? Looking for this again?"

Hearing the voice of a woman he knew so well, Ellard turned his head back. His eyes opened wide and lit up. His molars clenched in anger.

"You? Why are you here, you son of a bitch!" snapped Ellard.

"Yes, because this is my home. I saw you coming from CCTV surveillance," replied Arella.

The tall beautiful woman stepped foot to approach Ellard gracefully. He came alone and with nothing but a family card in his hand.

Ellard's forehead creased for a moment. Then he pulled out a pair of scissors he got from the drawer.

"Ah, now I understand why my mother-in-law didn't report to the police about my crime. It's not that he doesn't know and has no proof." Ellard grinned widely and stepped forward, approaching his business partner.

"So because of what?" challenge Arella while raising both eyebrows.

"But because he was plotting with you, for direct revenge for his daughter's death," Ellard said. "Damn it! I'm like this because of you!"

The scissors in Ellard's hand almost hit Arella's neck. But the woman dodged quickly. One leg went up, and kicked the man's waist down to the floor. The scissors she was holding slipped off, and slid down under the cupboard.

"You! How dare he kick me like that!" snarled Ellard while trying to get back up. His hands were moving wildly, looking for something he could make a weapon with.

"You forget that I'm a national taekwondo champion?" arella said while breathing.

"You? National taekwondo champion of three? How can I know about your ..."

Ellard stopped his call. His expression suddenly changed. Become a sour grin.

"You're still alive?" ellard said in a soft, trembling voice.

"Yes, I'm still alive after you poisoned, you beat and you threw it into the abyss." said Arella aka Anella, Ellard's legal wife. Her hand rubbed the makeup on her face with a wet tissue, and revealed her little visible scars.

"Where is it possible? He must have been rotting in that ravine" Ellard muttered. His body was limp, seeing the wife who had been thought to be dead, was still with him all this time.

"Why is it not possible? Soon you'll be the one to rot in jail" Arella replied.

"So you think I'd be scared, if you were Arella or Anella, or whoever it was?" Ellard laughed like a madman. "Let's see what the outcome is. Will you or I be destroyed? Come forward if you dare!"

There was nothing else that could be used as a weapon, Ellard held a study lamp and lifted it up high.

The double! Once a kick from Arella, the learning lamp fell and broke into pieces.

"Ellard, what are you going to sin again? Surrender yourself! I'll ease your sentence if you surrender now" Arella said.

"Where might I give up, after you reclaim all my possessions!" reply Ellard in a high tone. The greedy man then gripped Arella's hands and held her body against the wall.
