Chapter 3

"Let's sit there" said William who immediately made Anna seem to wake up from her sadness. Tonight, she mustn't be heartbroken, if William still hasn't opened his heart to Anna, at least Anna must keep Willian from glancing at the other women who are here, at least, like Emily said.

William walked first, as Anna prepared to follow William to their table, Anna felt Daniel was staring at her. And sure enough, when Anna turned her head she saw Daniel was smiling small with like typical men are spreading charm. The mischievous aura of the man Anna could see clearly and it made Anna instantly feel like she had to keep her distance from the man. "Come," he said gently as if asking Anna to walk first following William's steps.

Because his feelings were uncertain, without answering Daniel's words he began to walk to a round table equipped with a writing William's name there. Anna sat very carefully, making sure that the cloth dangling from the table could cover her legs. "Do you know who's there?" william asked while pointing at a beautiful woman in an elegant dress. Instantly Anna's heart becomes congested, she has no idea who the woman is but she feels that William is quite interested in her.

"No, is he your lover?" ask Anna carefully. I hope William answers no.

There was a sound of laughter coming from his left side. There, Daniel laughed as if mocking what Anna had just said was a joke. "What's wrong?" anna asked confusedly.

"You don't know who he is? she's the highest paid model of the year, of course my sister won't be in her criterion."

Anna frowned faintly, she quite disliked what Daniel said, how could a sister mock her own brother like that? what is wrong with William? he is handsome, polite and rich, enough to fit into the criteria of a perfect man. "Already, don't listen to him, Anna. He said that because he was envious of me," Willian replied casually as he shook his head slowly. "She is Veronica, her name is quite crowded on social media. The day after we'll have a meeting with him, he'll be the advertising model for our latest product" William said.

"Of course" replied Daniel.

The two embraced lightly, then Veronica turned to William and lowered her head politely. "We meet again Mr. William" he said in a voice so completely soft.

They also had a little chat about the issue of advertising and Anna was fortunately able to get into their chat, until the sound of the MCs heard would start the core event from tonight. An owner's welcome to cut the rope that is ahead there.

With her spirit dwindling, Anna tried to keep smiling and enjoy this lavishly prepared event. As they all stood up and tasted the food and drink provided, Anna's breath was slightly restrained as Daniel suddenly brought his face closer to Anna. "I'm predicting we'll meet again." Unaware of his surprise, he heard Daniel say goodbye to some of the people who were there to William. "I have to go home early, there's work waiting for me" Daniel chuckled at Mr. Robert who seemed to hold back the return of Daniel who seemed to be in a hurry when the entertainment event will soon begin.

As Daniel's body began to drift away, Anna shook her head, she was not left thinking about what Daniel had just done. Is he trying to seduce a woman who is a year older than him?
