Chapter 2
Arriving at a magnificent hotel that had been filled with several luxury cars, Anna ventured to get out of the car, she saw almost all women wearing dresses like Anna. It certainly makes Anna can breathe a sigh of relief, Emily's choice was apparently not too excessive and if Anna forced herself to wear office clothes, she might make William embarrassed.
As she was about to enter the Hotel, Anna showed her a digital invitation she got from William and after that she was allowed to enter and began looking for where William was. "Hi, are you alone?" ask a man with a glass in his right hand. Honestly speaking, the man's gaze made Anna uncomfortable, she was frightened and wanted to run away right now.
"No, I'm not alone" Anna replied quietly, her eyes again busy looking for Willian and trying to ignore this man who was bothering her.
Anna's heart was instantly relieved and also happy when she saw William waving his hand, she saw William walking with a man who seemed to be the most handsome in this room with his strong charisma, his face was familiar and like an actor if he looked closer. "Hi, Anna," William said with a look of admiration, then he turned to the man who disturbed Anna earlier. "Sorry he's my friend" said William quite politely and made the man laugh and seemed to understand William's words.
"Don't let this beautiful woman walk alone again" he said with a crisp laugh and passed by and greeted the other woman who was alone.
Looking at the scene, Anna shuddered in horror, hopefully later she did not get a husband like that, her eyes and heart were not awake and easily looked for other targets as if the woman was free to be chosen as she pleased. "Thank you for coming on time" Anna said, smiling with relief.
William nodded, he stared at Anna's appearance with sparkling eyes and quite embarrassed Anna in fact. "Whoa, Anna? I almost didn't recognize you" William said.
William shook his head quickly. "No, not overdone at all. You're beautiful Anna" said William.
The sound of coughing from the side made the two immediately turn their heads. "Oh yeah, this is my brother, Daniel." William introduced the man who had distracted Anna.
Anna smiled politely, she extended her hand first to Daniel. "I'm Anna" said Anna kindly. Didn't expect that William's mischievous younger brother was apparently very different from his expectations all along.
"You're my brother's girlfriend?" asked Daniel with a question mark.
Anna, who was getting such a sudden question, turned to William, a little hopeful and curious as to what would come out of the man's mouth. "No, he's a marketing and advertising manager, but I knew him in college. We've been friends for a long time." Anna could only smile a little when she heard William say, again she had to swallow the bitter taste of rejection. It turns out that true, all this time William's kindness was not about his feelings but no more than just friends.
