I Like You
Nadia silently did not respond because to him Fauzan's words were just pleasantries.
“Nadia ... I like you.” said Fauzan again gently, he smiled funnyly at Nadia who was glancing at him while pouting.
“Terus?” nadia asked with a flat face expression as usual.
“So yes, I want you to accept my feelings, and we can establish a more serious relationship.”
Nadia was silent, for her, the love between a man and a woman could change, it was like a winding road and up and down. Sometimes I like it but it can turn into hate. There is a feeling of love but, at other times, it turns hurtful.
Some say also love do not be too, hate also not too. So what does it mean for someone to declare love? Is it true that every human being needs that recognition to foster a relationship more than just friends?
But many couples also remain in a lasting relationship even though, previously they have never loved each other because they were married, or married because they were forced. So, is it true that a confession is necessary to build a relationship called marriage?
Nadia looked away as she clicked slowly, rubbing her nose with the back of her hand.
“Later, I thought again.”
“Good, I don't need your answer now.” Fauzan said as he continued to drive, his gaze straight ahead.
Nadia turned her head back, then, she said, “Pak, we have not known for a long time. I don't want you to regret it later. Anyway, I am not ready to build a relationship again with men.”
“Let's chat later, now it's up.”
Nadia looked around outside the window, as Fauzan stopped his car. While the car in front of them also stopped and now they are in a parking lot of a large house that is used as a wedding venue for cousin Naina.
Nadia got out of the car after a bodyguard opened the door for her, while Fauzan was the same, she came out after the bodyguard opened the door.
The deafening sound of dangdut music and the crowd seemed to welcome their arrival. Sure enough, the appearance of the two people was very attention-grabbing. All eyes were on them, even the bridal charm was out of style. How not, the suit worn by Fauzan is more classy than
Not because Nadia was only wearing simple clothes, but because the charming man at the side was holding her hand. The girl could not resist much less she did need support, she was shaking and sweating and Fauzan's hand grip gave her strength.
“Nadia! You finally came too?” asked Naina who was walking quickly towards them. Followed by several other friends who also scattered around Nadia. However, the guards drove away those who wanted to be harmed.
“Wah, apparently Mr. Fauzan is keeping his promise yes!” naina said again while stealing a glance at Fauzan.
“Alhamdulillah,” exclaimed Nadia, back glancing at Fauzan beside her.
After that Fauzan understood this gesture and asked the bodyguard to give a little leeway so that some of Nadia's friends could have a friendly chat. While Nadia just smiled and warmly welcomed their familiarity.
Fauzan again acted calm as when he faced some of the men in the office, everyone who was there as if subordinates and employees who had to respect him. His eyes focused on Nadia. It is very different when he is just with her, Fauzan will behave as he is and not stiff or scary.
After finishing making small talk, the four bodyguards banished Nadia's friends and allowed both of their employers to continue their steps to greet the bride.
The two men were warmly welcomed by the bride and her family. They still remember well who Nadia was once a teacher and known to many people. Especially after Nadia gave the wedding gift to the bride, they were very grateful to her and prayed for Nadia to follow soon.
When some people ask about the man holding her hand, of course Nadia introduces as her future husband as Fauzan wants. Nadia's behavior, making the man beside her so happy and, clearly visible from the look of Fauzan's cheerful face.
After finishing greeting the bride, Nadia and a small group headed to a place where various kinds of dishes in some huts are so beautiful. Fauzan guided Nadia to an empty seat, while four bodyguards were still around.
“Sit here, I'll take food!” pinta Fauzan after Nadia sat down.
The girl nodded, she was forced to agree to Fauzan's orders given that she could not possibly take her own food, because all this time her mother who had always served her ate like a child. Once the dish is served at the table, then he can eat by himself.
What Fauzan does is another concern for those around him, because the service of a man who looks like Fauzan is an amazingly romantic thing.
Suddenly Naina came closer and wanted to sit beside Nadia but, quickly a bodyguard who was near Nadia held back with her hands. The guard saw a danger because Naina's movements were fairly reckless, he walked quickly even though in a place quite crowded.
However, unexpectedly, the guava juice drink Naina was holding spilled over Nadia's thigh, making the woman reflexively stand up and clean her wet clothes.
“Sorry, Nadia! I did not accidentally, because it was shocked the same om this!” naina said with a slight increase in her voice. Nadia asked in her heart, whether Naina was intentionally or not, even though her friend knew in advance if there were bodyguards accompanying her.
“You?”
