“Yes, I do feel a lot of viruses here, like you, for example. That's annoying once.” Fauzan replied with a striking answer in Naina's heart, making the girl pout. Then, looking back, in his heart he said, if Nadia's boss is a strange person.
“Don't you go home because you can't work, keep this Mr Fauzan looking, or just curious, sir?”
Naina's words made everyone who was there furrow their eyebrows in wonder, how shameless this one woman was.
“Yes, indeed I am sick again, not wrong, right, if there are people who look?” Reply Nadia calmly.
“You were in an accident, Nad? Keep the mini boss feeling guilty like that, same you?” Naina said something annoying again.
But Nadia replied calmly, “Yes, I was an accident, but, she did not feel guilty, really, because it was not her fault.”
“Ya, already, Nai. Thank you yes, by her invitation, we will strive to come.” Salima interrupts with the intention that Naina immediately stop her annoying attitude.
Naina stood up while glancing at Fauzan and Nadia, her footsteps followed by Salima in a hurry, until they reached the door.
“Bu, why the hell is the guest strange, pake covered all his face, whether his teeth are barking or have a cleft lip, so?” Naina asked again with a nosy question, while looking back at a glance, she felt from behind her black glasses, the man was staring intently at her.
Salima did not answer and just took a deep breath while glancing at Fauzan, it did seem strange in a village like this there are people who wear face masks during the day.
Naina's last words were more striking, “Akun tell ya, Mom. Meningan do not be accepted than later he mengeselah ugly man was already husband.”
Naina's voice was quite slow but was heard by Nadia and also Fauzan. Then the man walked up to her, making Naina step back and immediately step towards the bike, but, Fauzan kept on approaching her.
In front of Naina, Fauzan opened the mask that covered her face while saying, “You may photo I can continue to spread to everyone that, I am the future husband of Nadia!”
Looking at the face plastered nearby, Naina was immediately stunned until she covered her open mouth with both palms. He saw a face carving that God loved so much because of its beauty, Fauzan looked sweet and dashing simultaneously, his facial features were firm and smooth but showed hospitality and gentleness at once.
“This .... absolutely handsome!” screech Naina while gulping her saliva and immediately leave, using her motorbike out of embarrassment and fear.
Everyone in the living room saw everything Fauzan did. Until both parents smile satisfied with seeing how perfect the face of the man who wants to marry their child, Nadia.
Fauzan was silent for a moment before turning back without wearing a face mask. He stepped back into the living room and sat down and kept a mask and glasses on the table. He looked towards the faces of everyone before him, leaning back and combing his hair with his fingers.
Both of Nadia's parents were so amazed to see Fauzan's face. However, in contrast to Nadia who looks mediocre as if what is seen in Fauzan is nothing because, he had guessed the identity of the man before.
Looking at Nadia's flat expression, Fauzan smiled slanted while looking away, as if laughing at himself. He had guessed that, it was true that Nadia already knew who she was.
Actually, he intended to open his identity if Nadia would accept it selflessly but, he could not stand when the woman who was their guest earlier, so underestimated him even impressed to insult Nadia. He seemed to not accept and was eager to defend Nadia.
Now that Nadia had answered Fauzan's wish to marry her, she knew about his identity. Even clearly the woman showed dislike. How could a woman want to marry a man who sucks.
Salima turned to Nadia while frowning watching the face of her daughter who was not at all surprised. He was so calm, and indifferent.
“Nad, did you actually know Nak Fauzan before?” salima asked trying to unravel her curiosity.
“But.” Nadia answered honestly, that she did not know Fauzan entirely.
They only know each other's names, are introductions on the surface only and it's commonplace. However, when it comes to a major life decision such as getting married, then the introduction should be much deeper.
“But, how do you like that?” ask Salima again.
“I'm just trapped, Mom!”
“Oh,” said Salima again looked at Fauzan and returned to thrust some food, which was on the table so that the man immediately enjoyed it.
Fauzan did not refuse and immediately drank a glass of tea that had been prepared for him. He had refrained from enjoying one of the foods, because the food was once viral.
Village food is curious because of the style of someone who enjoys it as if it is the most delicious food in the world, the person uploads it on social media, whereas he has never tasted it.
One mouthful of odading cake made it into Fauzan's mouth and made the man nod. Just this time he found out that it was delicious, as Nadia said. It is natural for a child to praise food made by his mother.
“Hmm ... This is indeed delicious, Bu.” Fauzan said as he took out a piece of tissue to wipe his lips as well as his hands.
“Oh, yes, Nak Fauzan. Do you really want to propose to our son Nadia?” asked Maulana and, Fauzan nodded.
“What makes Nak Fauzan want to marry Nadia?” ask Maulana again.
“Dad, Mother. I don't want to marry her .. So, what's that for?” Nadia interrupted.
“Nad, what's wrong we know the motivation of others, the intention of others to make decisions. Marriage is not arbitrary, especially you have failed.” said Salima looked at her son immediately.
“Mother, Father .. no need to talk about the past, mending her drive home.”
“Sorry, Son. Maybe Nadia is still traumatized by her past, long ago. That's why he's so.” Maulana.
“Ayah ... don't talk about it anymore ...!” Nadia said as she stood up, then stepped into the room and closed the door loudly.
“Astaghfirullah, sorry yes, son. Nadia so disrespectful, surely because she so remember her old marriage.”
Salima said with a timid face because she was forced to say that shame as an excuse, so that her guests would understand Nadia's disrespectful behavior in front of them.
“What? So Nadia's been married, so, Nadia's a widow?” asked Fauzan, he said with a serious face.
While Maulana and Salima looked at each other, their gazes as if to say, should they be straightforward right now?
