PAST EVENTS

Umi Lika took a photo from her closet drawer, The worn photo was then placed on her chest as if she was tightly hugging a picture of a woman in the photo.

A drop of tears fell down her smooth cheeks. Closing his eyes, suddenly his mind and heart brought him back to reminisce about the events of 10 years ago. Events that make his life change, as well as the life of a teenager aged about 15 years, where he has lost his mother who is very dear to him. His mother who is a good friend of Lika, more than ordinary friends even already like a sister. And. the cause of the departure of the woman named Aisyah is what makes regret and guilt always lodged in her soul...

10 YEARS AGO...💞

That afternoon, Lika met Aisyah at her home. Aisyah was Lika's best friend since she was in High School. They were always together, finished school they entered the same university, until they finished college and married their friendship continued.

They both live together in a simple family environment, but good luck is on the side of Aisyah who finds a handsome husband, kind, sholeh and also rich. While Lika only resigned to marry a man who after marriage only discovered he had bad morals. Lika's husband who works as an ordinary employee turned out to have temperamental nature, he was always angry for no reason and not a few also did physical violence against Lika so that their marriage did not last long. Eventually they divorced, lucky from her marriage with the man Lika had not been given a child.

After meeting with Aisyah's maid downstairs, Lika just headed straight to her room Aisyah. He had visited there too often so that the people in the house also understood the friendship relationship between Lika and Aisyah.

Arriving in the room, Aisyah was crying as if on the edge of the bed while covering her face with both hands. Seeing the sight made Lika immediately rushed to his best friend.

"What's wrong with you, Aish?" Lika asked who just carried Aisyah in her arms. Aisyah did not answer Lika's question. The crying even stronger was heard which made Lika become empathetic by crying too.

"Already, Aish. Don't you keep crying. Same story, what's wrong? Why are you crying so much like this?" Lika asked in surprise.

"Here you go, take your breath first. Calm yourself, take Istighfar." Said Lika trying to calm Aisyah who looked chaotic.

Aisyah obeyed Lika's orders, after a new calm she began to tell stories. Lika is ready to hear the story of her best friend.

"Mas Adit, he accuses me of the no-no, Lika. Never before had he behaved like this, he always suspected me of doing something off the mark. You know I can't possibly betray her, I've always been loyal to her. It just crossed my mind never, Ka. Especially if I really do that. Nauzubillah Mindzalik.." Clearly Aisyah with an unstable breath.

"You mean, Mas Adit... Accuse you of cheating? Right so??" Lika asked with a face expression that looked shocked. Aisyah nodded her head.

"But, why would Mas Adit suddenly be able to accuse you like that, Aish?" Tanya Lika felt astonished.

"I don't know either, which is obvious.. In recent days he has been eager to find my fault, check my phone and suspect when I want to go anywhere, he always mintak explained in detail. I told him I wouldn't fuck. I wouldn't dare cheat on her, Ka. Who am I cheating with anyway? I know cheating is sin, big sin." Clearly Aisyah was fiery.

"You mean?" Ask Asiyah who does not understand the meaning of her best friend.

"Well, there will be no smoke if there is no fire." Said Lika with a serious face.

"There must be someone who has instigated Mas Adit so that he suspects you are having an affair, because.. If Mas Adit himself did that, I'm not sure. Mas Adit's a good man, he can't possibly directly accuse you if nothing affects him, Aish." Clearly Lika was enthusiastic.

"Indeed who instigated him, Ka? Who has had a bad influence on Mas Adit?" Ask Aisyah.

"I don't know either. But, we'll find out.."

And.. Without them realizing it, there was a teenage boy who had eavesdropped on their conversation from behind the door. The man in white looks clenched his hands with a face expression that is difficult to explain...

Lika removed the tear grains that did not stop dripping on her cheeks. He can't stand all this anymore. The burden that he endured for 10 years that he initially thought would not bring problems even now is the peak of the problem. And.. What made him unable to forgive himself the most was that the peak of this matter had instead befallen someone who was even a little innocent. It makes a person feel the pain of past deeds that he or she hides from everyone. For the mistakes of the past, others are affected.

Lika was screaming hysterically in her heart. He cursed himself who was like a criminal who had committed a heinous crime.

With a trembling hand, Lika immediately picked up her phone and called someone's number. Moments later, the man picked up the phone from her. With a sobbing, Lika said her regards.

"Why Lika? Why are you crying??"

Ask someone at the end of the phone.

Lika took a deep breath before she finally let out her trembling voice.

"I-i.. I'll tell Mas Adit everything, I can't hide any more of this.. Because of our actions, someone there was affected.. I can't stand having to keep this a secret from Mas Adit's family anymore.. I can't anymore...." Said Lika sobbing.

"What do you want to tell me, Lika??" Suddenly Aditia appeared at the door. Lika was shocked, until her cellphone immediately fell on the floor.
