CHAPTER 55

Karrel intends to come to the hospital to visit Pika. He had heard the news of the accident from one of Pika's friends, but there was only time to visit her today because she was busy with all her business.

When he got to the front of Pika's ward, the man stopped and saw a girl who continued to cry while observing Pika from the front door. The girl just cried without intending to enter. Karrel continued to stand waiting for the girl to enter but she turned around.

Upon seeing his face, Karrel instantly recognized the girl. The girl who helped Pika brought her books back then. That cute girl with those doll-like eyes.

Because the girl kept crying and it was almost midnight, the streets were deserted, Karrel decided to follow her silently. There is still plenty of time to visit Pika.

Karrel continued to observe the girl who was still crying. He was surprised that the girl's tears were not gone. Unknowingly his feet stepped towards the girl.

He could see the girl's startled expression as he patted her slowly on the shoulder. Karrel smiled as the girl looked at him and chose to sit next to him.

The girl kept looking at him as if remembering where she had seen the man.

"K..are you Pika's friend?" ask the girl.

Karrel nodded.

"Do you remember me?" he asked back.

Chaby nodded slowly then again showed his sad expression.

"What a strong girl. He must have woken up." said Karrel trying to entertain.

The guy looked at Chaby again. This time the girl was not crying.

"Where's your house? Let me drive you home" he said. It's not good for a middle-of-the-night teenager on the street.

Chaby shakes. He doesn't want to go home.

"How about going inside Pika's nursery." bargained Karrel again for seeing Chaby who was reluctant to go home.

Chaby shook his head hard. Especially get in there. He might see Decklan again. Nope, no. He's too scared.

Karrel is getting confused. Actually, what a boy. Like someone running away from home.

"You ran away from home?" the question just came out of his mouth. Seeing the girl not answering and just looking down miserably, Karrel instantly knew the answer.

"Why run?" ask again. Chaby looked upset. He was upset for a long time because the man always asked.

"Kabur yah run away, pake asked all we are familiar." he replied back.

Karrel chuckles. It was sad, now it is angry.

"What is your name? I'm Karrel."

Chaby squinted at the man.

"You're making acquaintances?" ketus reply. Karrel smiled widely and nodded.

"Maybe?"

"Chaby." replied Chaby again but remained tight and threw away the man's face.

"Alright Chaby. Now you better go home. Look, the streets are empty. What if some bad guy walks by, you're not scared?" Karrel. Chaby stared at him straight back.

"But where am I going? I don't know." he answered his own question.

Karrel's eyebrows raised. What a strange girl. His own home time he doesn't know.

"You have a house, right?"

"Why?"

For the umpteenth time Chaby stared at the man incestuous.

"And I ran away, what the hell."

Okay. Karrel surrendered. He does not argue with children. He thinks this girl is so childish.

"What if you come with me first?"

Chaby looked up at the man again. His eyes narrowed suspiciously. He remembers Danzel's brother and Galen's brother always saying don't trust strangers easily. Especially taking him home.

When the girl was about to speak, she suddenly came to a halt from hearing a loud cry of someone calling her name from across there.

"CHABY!"

Chaby and Karrel reflexively stared at the call. Chaby's eyes were round. There were four men on the other end who were looking at him with different eyes.

Oh no, he should run away now. There's Decklan's brother there, too. His expression looked furious.

Chaby makin parno. Without a second thought the girl immediately stood up from the street bench and ran hard making Karrel next to her astonished.

The road was empty and no more cars passed. So Chaby can run freely.

Galen, followed by Bara and Andra, quickly pursued him. While Decklan was just walking leisurely but with a flash of great anger that emanated from his face.

They were looking for that girl all day. Decklan was almost crazy to think that he would never see the girl again. Especially it's midnight.

Bara gives the idea to look for Chaby in the hospital because of the possibility that the girl will see Pika secretly. They're all going to the hospital. And Bara's right. They found Chaby in front of them fighting with a man they didn't know.

When Galen shouted her name the girl looked very shocked. He even stood up from his place and hurriedly escaped from it, making Decklan even more unable to contain his anger. Want to run away again? Don't hope.

Decklan chose to go slowly. There were three other men chasing after the girl. He will not be able to escape again. His eyes briefly looked towards Karrel with a hostile expression. There's jealousy there.

"Chaby stop!"

Galen was finally able to grab Chaby's hand. But Chaby is still trying to escape. He thrashed to beat up the tall man.

"Please. I'm leaving." said Chaby trying to get out of Galen's grasp.

"Where to? You can't live alone. You can't force it!" reply Galen in a high voice. Karrel who felt clueless just stared at them with a puzzled look on his face. He doesn't know who the boys are, he doesn't know.

"Sister Galen, Barin Chaby went well. I.. I.." The girl's gaze moved to Decklan who walked from across the street and grew longer and longer. His eyes are very cold. He wasn't ready to face that guy.

"Cannot. Danzel's fitting..."

Decklan suddenly pulls Chaby's hand from Galen. And a little bit more the man will tell you that Danzel is still alive. Galen groaned in annoyance. Let it. There's still plenty of time.

"Bang, I want to talk to him, I'll be anter home" said Decklan flat.

Galen actually slightly objected but considering that the man who had been so messed up since noon, made him unable to resist. He could see that Decklan loved Chaby so much.

"alright. Don't make him cry." Galen gave a warning.

"No promise." reply Decklan directly. Galen looked at him sharply. This guy really.

"Bang, just let him go." whispered Andra. That guy hasn't treated his wounds from Decklan's punches this afternoon. He was busy looking for Chaby with them because he felt guilty and worried about the girl.
