S2, Chapter 69

This afternoon Chaby and Sharon were shopping for other items for her baby. Decklan was at work, Aunt Lily was picking up Arion, Pika also had no time to accompany him at home, finally Chaby had Decklan take him to his sister Sharon's house. Moreover, Sharon's sister used to be the one who accompanied Chaby when the girl gave birth, so already had a lot of experience of things like that.

Sharon had rejected Chaby's request, especially Chaby's gestational age was nine months, had entered the seconds where she would give birth. Sharon persuades Chaby to let her shop and Chaby stay at her house accompanied by Tuty, one of the women who works at her flower shop. But Chaby said he wanted to come too, because he felt too bored at home.

Especially at home these few months, Brother Decklan and all his family never allowed himself to do anything heavy. Walking far away he is not allowed. So, because today he has time and is free from his entire family, Chaby is using his opportunity as best he can. The store they will visit is only located in front of the flower shop owned by Sharon. They just go there by crossing the road so it's okay according to Chaby.

They went into the toy store. Chaby walked slowly with one hand holding onto his distended stomach. His eyes circled the entire store where there were so many toys. He was very happy to even want to take whatever was there, which was caught by his eyes.

Sharon herself is more focused on watching Chaby than the toy. He was afraid that something would happen to the girl. Other than fearing that anything would happen to Chaby, Sharon also did not want to deal with the girl's husband even Danzel. Danzel would probably nag him if she knew he was following Chaby's wishes.

When again having fun seeing the toys of the child, Chaby was silent for a while. The pain crawled his back, making him grimace. Sharon who saw the change approached Chaby anxiously,

"Why Chaby?"

Chaby stared down, the clear water flowing down from his thighs, down to his feet and some falling to the floor, he knew what was happening.

"Sister Sharon... My amniotic fluid is broken..."

Sharon was wide-eyed and became nervous instantly. He called a taxi to take the girl to the hospital. Done calling the cab he called Decklan but the man didn't pick it up either. Sharon decided to call Danzel..

At the hospital, Decklan finished the meeting and stepped towards Andra's room, but the room was empty. He frowned. Where is that guy ? Decklan should go home and take care of Chaby. He knew Chaby was being accompanied by Sharon, but still he felt uneasy. He wanted her to accompany him and keep his wife in the moments that the girl would soon give birth. So he had to meet Andra and ask the man to take temporary responsibility for his work.

Since Andra was absent, Decklan stepped back into his room. Takes care of the things he'll bring home. He'll just go home and call Andra about the job she wants to assign to the guy.

Decklan did not go home. She went to Sharon's house because Chaby was there. However, he did not find the whereabouts of his wife and Sharon. Suddenly his feelings became anxious. He walked to Sharon's side of the house, to the girl's flower shop. Unfortunately his wife and Sharon were not there either. Decklan decided to ask one of the workers there. The woman pointed to a store across the street and said Sharon and Chaby had entered the store. Without thinking again Decklan immediately ran there.

His steps came to a halt when he saw two extremely familiar figures in the distance, there they were, Decklan quickened his pace. He saw Sharon exclaiming in panic while trying to guide Chaby who was limping in walking.

"What's wrong?" Decklan asked quickly, and when he saw Chaby's state, he already knew what was going to happen, even before Sharon explained it.

"We have to get him to the hospital, Decklan!" Decklan. Oh gosh. Chaby was about to give birth, and they were still here, in the middle of a road filled with passers-by.

Decklan did not have time to think, he threw his car keys at Sharon, then swiftly in Chaby's embrace and lifted her into his carrier.

"You can drive? Go to the car first, I'll catch up." Decklan ordered Sharon. The woman immediately ran across the road to pick up the car. The taxi he ordered was here too long ago. Sharon quickly canceled the taxi order in a hurry.

With quick steps, Decklan half ran across the street, while lifting Chaby, while still being careful not to bump into anything.

"I'm sorry Decklan. I don't know if it's time, so I asked Sharon to accompany me to the store..."

"It's okay baby, hold on for a second yeah, I'll take you to the hospital." muttered Decklan softly.

Chaby held on tightly to the body of Decklan who was walking fast. The man looked a little breathless. Of course, with his wife of nine months pregnant, Chaby was very heavy, and Decklan carried him half-run.

Moments later, they get to the other side and Sharon who is driving Decklan's car stops right in front of them. Decklan went in and closed the door. Sharon drove her vehicle to the hospital.

"How is he doing?" Sharon exclaimed as she glanced from the car glass.

"He can still hold on" Decklan replied as Chaby was groaning in contraction, while the tyre squeaked as Sharon avoided the rider who was overtaking from the left.

"Focus on the road, Sharon! Decklan felt Chaby's tight grip on his arm as his wife contracted. The contract distance is getting closer and Decklan is getting more anxious.

"Pull a deep breath Chaby." Decklan reminded Chaby how to catch his breath, as he had been taught to them while taking a birth preparation course some time ago.

"Yes, breathe out slowly, breathe out again. We'll be there soon."

"Hold, baby..." Decklan clasped Chaby's hand when the contraction came again.

"We're almost there..."
