The Struggle of Vika for Vincent

After removing the rest of her crying and washing her face, Miss Lasmi met Vika who was resting in her bed. His daughter was asleep after the struggle between life and death. The water dripped back when he saw the fatigue still clearly visible on Vika's face.

After Vika's condition recovered, the new mother began asking about her baby. He wants to meet his baby soon.

"Son, why hasn't my baby been brought here?" ask Vika.

"That's .. because he needs special care" the King replied briefly.

"Special care?"

"Yes .., " replied the King while publishing his faint smile.

"Is he not okay?"

The king was silent for a moment, he gathered the determination to convey what Vika should have known. The man took a long breath, then exhaled slowly.

"Actually ... Your son is having a little problem with his kidney," explained the King.

Vika was stunned, it felt like her world was collapsing in a split second. He did not expect his little son would have problems with his kidneys.

"What do I have to do to get him well, brother?" vika asked with a slightly trembling voice.

"For a while the doctor will give him medicine, if it cannot be overcome in this way your son will have to undergo dialysis for life" said King.

Hearing the words kidney and dialysis makes itself as if thrown back into the past. Still so attached to his memory when invited the mother drove his late father to the hospital to do dialysis.

Vika's father died of kidney failure. Even the transplant surgery did not help. The shadow of the past now filled Vika's mind. While being immersed in his childhood memories, the King's soft voice again brings Vika's consciousness.

"Vik, are you okay?" ask King.

"I want to see my baby" said Vika with a smile.

The king did not expect the woman in front of him to have such a strong heart. Maybe other mothers will cry roaring at the bad news about the baby. But that doesn't apply to Vika. She is a special woman.

Finally Vika was helped by the King to see his favorite son in a special room for baby care. He looked out from behind the glass window.

"The doctor said all his vital signs were fine, except for his kidney condition which has a congenital abnormality," said Raja.

"God is so unfair" said Vika.

The king noticed Vika's sad face. A thin smile adorned her beautiful face, her eyes implying a haru feeling. But her crying did not break at all. Vika's defense is incredible.

"See him! So similar to his father! I, who was nine months pregnant, felt the pain of getting pregnant young, even betting my life to bring her into the world. But what is this!" vika said while smiling wryly.

"Aren't you sad to know your son's current condition?" The King's mouth involuntarily uttered that stupid sentence.

Vika looked towards Mahen. He shook his head, then his gaze returned to his little baby.

"Where is a mother not sad to see her child in pain? But what's the point of crying? That will not change things at all" said Vika.

Now his fingers touch the glass window that borders Vika and her tiny baby. Again the King was amazed by Vika's stubbornness.

"We have to go back, soon the doctor will do the examination" said King reminded Vika.

"Come, I want to recover and hold my baby."

Finally they walked down the corridor and returned to Vika's ward.

After a week of mingling with the smell of drugs, Vika and her son are finally allowed to go home. Dozens of times Vika kissed her little son.

"What'd you like to name?" ask Miss Lasmi.

"Vincent Aditama, I hope he will become a child who is not easily defeated by circumstances!" vika replied in a steady voice.

"Why use his grandfather's name?"

"Hehe, I would change his name if his father and grandmother had recognized Vincent as their child and grandchild" Vika said.

"Well! The slap!" exclaim Riri.

"Yes, how handsome! This idol of our complex!" Nola.

"Who was his uncle?" tymphal King.

Hearing the King's words everyone there chuckled except Vincent. Wouldn't it make my feathers stand up if the one-week-old baby chuckled?

A simple thanksgiving was made for Vincent. Vika and her mother invite some neighbors to eat together. Vika also shares a basic food for underprivileged residents around the complex as her gratitude.

As soon as the show was over, their house went back to being quiet. Vika was laying Vincent in the baby when the mother went into her room.

"Vincent's asleep?" ask Miss Lasmi.

"Already, Mom," Vika replied as she looked at the peaceful face of her sleeping son.

"How's next?"

"I mean Mom?"

"Do you have no intention of informing Mahen of his son's condition?"

"Vika wasn't sure she'd care, Mom." Vika started rubbing her son's thick hair.

"If he does care, Mahen should have survived a little longer until Vincent was born to do a DNA test. But he's been blinded by anger, and he's taken by selfishness" Vika added.

"Well, as long as you feel comfortable and unencumbered, you won't press me about Mahen" Ms. Lasmi said.

"Thank you, ma'am" said Vika as she entered her mother's arms. The most comfortable hug in the world. A very comfortable and soothing hug.

Vika fought as hard as she could to grow her business. Assisted by Nola, now the boutique is known by many people. Starting from the neighbors of the complex, local government employees, to several fashion influencers in droves to buy their products.

One day an order came in through his email. Even the customer has transferred ten million as a down payment. She wanted a wedding dress and some bridesmaid dresses.

"Crazy!" exclaim Vika.

Nola, who was busy with her work, turned her head towards Vika. His head was filled with big question marks. Curious, Nola finally asked.

"Why, Brother? Vika's expression is like winning the lottery?" ask Nola.

"We have a big project! Even the down payment has been transferred to the account!" exclaim Vika.

"Really, Brother?"

Vika nodded then showed me the email she received. Nola's eyes widened in surprise. Just this time there are people who want to give that much down payment. Moreover, their boutique has only been running for a few months.

"Huhu, it feels like crying out to me, brother!" Nola.

"Haha, don't cry! Let's get on with the work! Try to make a design according to the wishes of our customers."

"Ready, Brother!"

"Well, today I have an appointment with my doctor for a consultation. Titip boutique for a second, huh? If you need anything, call me directly," said Vika while grabbing her bag.

The woman took Vincent into her arms and took him out of the boutique. Outside, the King's Mercy's car was parked neatly. Seeing Vika out of the boutique, the King immediately approached her and opened the door for the woman he still loved in silence.

In order to get Vincent's recovery, Vika had to go back and forth to consult several doctors at once. He devoted all his energy and time to his son.
