The Birth of a Handsome Baby

That night Vika could not sleep. His body almost fell off one by one. His waist feels excruciating pain, his feelings are restless, sometimes his legs and stomach feel cramping.

He closed his eyes but failed. Vika decided to work with her laptop. He made some materials for boutique promotion.

"Vik ... Vickos .... "

Vika woke up when she felt her body being shaken repeatedly. When he opened his eyes, a faint smile greeted him. Vika yawned while rubbing her eyes to focus her gaze.

"What time is it, Mom?" vika asked while gathering her consciousness.

"It's two o'clock in the morning. How come you slept here?"

"So in the room, Vika couldn't sleep. Turn invited sleepy eye work," said Vika.

"Why can't you sleep, Vik?"

"Badan Vika feels really tired, Mom. Sleeping on the right side, left side, or supine remains uncomfortable" complained Vika.

"Try Vika to lie down on the floor, after starting to comfortably just move to the mattress," said Bu Lasmi gave advice.

Finally Vika did what her mother told her, and sure enough. Vika fell asleep in fifteen minutes.

The ringing of the phone woke Vika that morning. His body began to squirm, his eyes slowly opening. After successfully resurrecting her body from the mattress, Vika grabbed the phone that was on her dressing table.

There were two missed calls from an unknown number. Vika was shocked when her phone rang again. The same number as the previous missed call.

"Hello," said Vika.

"Hello, is this right with Sister Vika?"

"Yes, right."

"It's me, Nola. Who some time ago assisted by Brother Vika."

"Oh, how are you?" ask Vika.

"Good, Brother. Has Kak Vika found a designer for the boutique? If not, can I work with you?"

Their conversation continued for half an hour. Vika accepts Nola with pleasure because the kebaya designed by her is in great demand by boutique customers.

After she finished talking to Nola, Vika walked out of the room. The smell of fried rice makes the baby can not be silent.

"Hey, Junior. Are you hungry?" said Vika while stroking her distended stomach.

The baby in Vika's stomach responds by kicking the wall of her womb hard. Vika grimaces.

"Eat first, Vik. Mom to the boutique first, right? Vika rest at home, if there is any phone," said Miss Lasmi.

"Yes, Mom." Vika instantly devoured a plate of fried rice with a cow's eye egg.

That day felt long for Vika, all day she just collapsed while checking the incoming email from her phone. Some WhatsApp messages are also coming in. Some just ask the price and disappear without news, some there are potential customers who want a lot, and some are bidding at very sadistic prices. But some people immediately asked to be sent a photo of the product and the details and then a notification of the bank came in vibrating Vika's account.

"Well, I like this one" Vika said, chuckling as a mobile banking notification greeted her.

When about to take fruit for a snack, Vika was surprised instead of playing. Clear water flows out of the birth canal.

"What'sthis? Am I wetting the bed?"

Sometimes Vika's stomach feels tight and sore. Panicked, Vika finally called her mother.

"Mom, go home for a minute. Vika's stomach aches and Vika wetts her," Vika pinta told her mother.

"Loh, bedwetting? Waita minute! I'm going home now" said Ms. Lasmi.

It only takes five minutes to get home. Miss Lasmi finds Vika who is grimacing with pain. Under the chair where he sat there was a little puddle of water.

"Vika! It looks like you're giving birth!" exclaims Miss Lasmi.

As if knowing the precarious situation in Vika's house, suddenly the King has come with his car. He entered because he found the door wide open.

"Vik, the King is coming. Did you call him?"

Vika just shook her head. His mouth was no longer able to say anything other than hissing and complaining.

"Why, Mom?"

"This, Vika seems to be giving birth," said Ms. Lasmi.

"Let's take it to the hospital!" The king's.

The king approached Vika, then rested in front of her.

"Still strong walking?"

Vika just shook her head. The king immediately carried Vika up to the car. Miss Lasmi tailed behind the King while carrying a bag.

Along the way, Bu Lasmi rubbed the top of Vika's head while encouraging. Vika continued to hiss and began to shed tears. The king drove as fast as he could. Hearing Vika's moans made the man feel pity.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Vika was immediately taken to the delivery room. A sweat washed over Vika's forehead. The mother patiently accompanied him while continuing to encourage him.

"Vika can! Bayangin will soon meet your son, Vika will soon cry, and can hug your baby's kisses, too" said Bu Lasmi repeatedly.

Hearing the suggestion from her mother, Vika tried to stay upbeat. The pain increased when the doctor gave an induction injection. Babies should be born soon because the amniotic fluid is getting less and less.

The pain that Vika felt for almost 12 hours finally bore sweet fruit. The sound of crying babies filled the delivery room. The feeling of haru and relief dominated the hearts of Vika and Bu Lasmi. The angel they were waiting for was finally born.

But in one day God gave a surprising destiny. Behind the happy birth, the doctor also pinned bad news for Vika and her family.

"Previously survived the birth of a grandchild, Mother," the doctor told Ms. Lasmi.

"Thank you, Doc" said Ms. Lasmi.

"But .... "

The sentence hanging the doctor makes Miss Lasmi pounding. A bad feeling reached his heart. Seen a heavy breath from the doctor. It allowed the location of his slumped glasses.

"Mother's grandson has a condition in which there are many cysts in his kidneys. We call it PKD or Polycystic Kidney Disease" explains the doctor.

Even though I don't know what it is clearly. Seeing the expression of the doctor before him, Miss Lasmi could guess that the disease was not an easy disease to handle. Moreover, there are cysts frills there.

"Then what should I do, Doc?" ask Miss Lasmi.

"To treat this disease, your grandchild will have to undergo kidney dialysis for life or undergo a kidney transplant" the doctor explained.

Miss Lasmi came out of the doctor's consultation room with her body. He could no longer hold back his tears. Seeing the sobbing Miss Lasmi, the King approached her.

"Mother, why?"

"How is this?" said Ms. Lasmi while continuing to sob.

Finally, Ms. Lasmi retold what the doctor had just explained. The king listened carefully. After hearing Miss Lasmi's explanation, I don't know why the King's heart was broken.

The man could feel the sadness that Miss Lasmi was experiencing. He could not imagine how devastated Vika's feelings would be.

"Let me pass this news on to Vika, Mom. Wait for the condition to stabilize first."

"Thank you, King. I couldn't bear to pass this on to Vika. I know she's a strong woman. But this ordeal feels so heavy. Hopefully Vika can accept all of this freely." Ms. Lasmi wiped her tears that were completely unwilling to stop flowing.

The cold walls of the hospital corridor bore a silent witness to how he felt at this moment. But the middle-aged woman tried hard for the sake of her daughter and granddaughter. He believed God was preparing the most beautiful plan for his daughter.
