The Perpetual Accident

Vika Aditama is a final-level student preparing a thesis. The 23-year-old girl has a beautiful face, white skin, and a pair of beautiful eyes. The sharp nose and thin lips add to the beauty of Vika's face.

That morning Vika was meeting with the guidance counselor to discuss the thesis he was working on. His heart beat fast, waiting for the comments of the lecturer who is famous fierce throughout the campus.

"Good," said the professor.

"Yes?" Vika tried to make sure her hearing was not disturbed.

"Your research is good. Congratulations," praised the lecturer with a friendly smile.

"Thank you, ma'am," said Vika with a satisfied smile.

Vika left Miss Mary's room with a sparkling face. He wanted to tell his mother about the good news. At once Vika's carefree smile disappeared, as a message entered her phone.

Hurry home! Or you'll never see your mother forever!

Seeing the short message, Vika headed straight for the parking lot. He turned on his duck motor, then drove as fast as he could. Arriving at home, the atmosphere looks so chaotic. Vika's steps grew faster when she heard her mother's screams.

"Aaaaaaaa .. My Lord!" pekik Bu Lasmi's.

When he entered the house, his mother fell on the floor. A large man was about to swing a beam towards Bu Lasmi.

"Stop!" vika yelled as she brushed off the big man's hand, then she helped her mother stand up.

Vika asked the reason behind the commotion that day. Miss Lasmi did not answer, and just kept crying. The thug before him, explained the source of the problem in a loud voice.

"Your mother owes a debt to the Banyu boss!" said the man fiercely.

"Banyu Juragan?" Vika's forehead frowned, her eyes bulging as if they were almost dislodged. He did not expect his mother to deal with the cruel loan shark.

"Mom, is that really what he said?" ask Vika.

Vika's mother nodded slowly. Suddenly Vika's head pulsed. He sighed and tried to negotiate with the thug.

"How much does mom owe?" ask Vika.

"125 million! Not including the fifty percent interest!" answer the man.

"What!" Vika's eyebrows are now interlocked, it's like getting a thousand-volt electric shock. Totally beyond belief.

"alright. Give me three months! I'll pay off all your debts!" exclaim Vika.

"Well, want to sell yourself?" The thug looked at Vika's body with a perverted look.

"It's none of your business how do I get money! Please leave now!" snapped Vika with barking eyes. His index finger was pointing towards the exit.

When the two thugs left, Vika's legs went limp and her body slumped. He was crying so much.

"Mom, what exactly is that money for?" ask Vika.

"It ... actually .... " Mrs Lasmi bowed lethargic.

"How do I get that kind of money back in three months?" Vika squeezes her hair in frustration. Slowly his mother approached.

"Actually, the money is for your tuition, Vik," said Ms. Lasmi.

"Mom, Vika has always said that you don't have to go to college if you can't afford it!" exclaim Vika with a high voice.

"Well, how is this, Mom? Vika is one step away from graduating. However, discovering this reality made Vika's focus split!" yelled Vika frustrated.

"Mom will sell kidney!" exclaimed Miss Lasmi, her hand patted her chest that felt tight.

"Kidneys? Did Mom forget? One of my kidneys is no more!" Vika's crying is breaking.

"From the beginning Vika said she didn't want to go to college! But I'm adamant that I want Vika to stay in college! Look at the end now! I am in debt!"

"Vika, ENOUGH!" shouted Miss Lasmi, her chest of fireworks held back the turbulent anger.

"Your mother didn't go to school, and she's a moron! That's why you have to go to college! School as high as possible in order to have a better life than Mom!" said Miss Lasmi while crying tears.

Vika's chest was painful to hear her mother's speech. He looked down, then ran into his arms.

The next day Vika applied for a job to help her mother pay off the debt. He hesitated to be able to get a large amount of money within three months. However, there is no harm in trying.

After a day of exploring the heat of Jakarta, Vika finally got a job as SPG in a department store. Vika came home with a new glimmer of hope. He told his mother the good news.

"Congratulations, Vik!" exclaimed Bu Lasmi while hugging her daughter's body.

Vika loosened her mother's embrace. He looked at his mother's face. Vika's palms now encapsulate the mother's thin face.

"This is all I can do to help Mom. I'm sorry, if Vika's been making you feel burdened."

"Crsssstttt ... You are not a burden. Vika is the future of Mom. So, let's fight together, shall we?" said Ms. Lasmi.

"Surely Ma! Vika promised to make me proud to have Vika." Vika smiled with glittering eyes.

The hour hand shows at 23:00 when drowsiness starts to rub into Vika's eyes. Slowly he closed his eyes. Suddenly a loud voice came from the kitchen.

PRANGS!

Vika's eyes opened immediately. He rushed down from the bed and towards the source of the sound. After reaching the kitchen, how surprised Vika saw what happened. He found that Miss Lasmi had been weakly rolled on the floor.

"Momuuu!" yelled Vika, then walked over to her mother. He patted his mother's left cheek. However, the mother did not dwell at all.

Vika ran out of the house to seek help. He knocked on Mr. Hashim's door in a panic. As soon as the door opened, he immediately asked Hasyim for help.

"Sir, help my mother," please Vika.

"Why's mom?" Hasyim sir frowned.

"Mother passed out sir, please take us to the hospital," Pinta Vika said.

"Alright, get ready. You will prepare the car first" said Mr. Hasyim.

It didn't take long to get to the hospital. The nurses immediately gave first aid in the ER room.

"Father stay first, huh? Tomorrow my wife will be here to look after your mother" said Mr. Hashim.

"Good, Sir. Thank you" said Vika, smiling.

"Either. Mr. Pamit, suppose it takes anything say it," said Mr. Hashim.

Ms. Lasmi's left hand was fitted with an infusion tube, and her nose was given a breathing apparatus.

"Mom, get up quickly. Vika believes the mother is a strong woman," said Vika.

The next day Vika woke up feeling a soft touch on the top of her head. His eyes blinked, adjusting to the ambient light.

"Vika, wake up, son. Isn't it your first day at work?" ask Miss Lasmi.

The Vika consciousness returned. He looked up, found his mother was already in a sitting position leaning on a pile of pillows.

"Mom is conscious? Is anyone sick?" vika asked with concern.

"Mom feels better." A smile appeared on Ms. Lasmi's lips.

"Then, Mom, how?" ask Vika.

"Mom can be alone. There's a nurse if you need help." Now the fingers of Bu Lasmi gently rub the back of his daughter's hand.

"alright. Vika go first, Mom? Later after work, Vika is here again." Vika kissed the back of her hand and walked out of her treatment room.

The clock shows at 08:30 when Vika is in the mall parking lot. The legs run as fast as possible, to reach the elevator. Accidentally, Vika collides with someone.

"Ouch! Sorry, I'm in a hurry." Vika bowed to apologize.

Vika was surprised to learn that the black shirt the man in front of her was dirty. He saw the man's jaw harden.

"Die Me!" Vika looked down, then pulled out the tissue from the wallet, and cleaned the shirt.

"Stop!" exclaim the man.

"Your shirt is dirty, sir. I'll clean it up" said Vika.

Vika who is too stubborn continues to do cleaning activities. His movements came to a halt as his wrist was firmly gripped by the man.

"I said HEN-TI-KAN!" firmly the man.

His gaze made Vika's guts shrink. His head lowered as he did not dare to look into the man's eyes.

"Sorry, sir," great-granddaughter Vika.

After shaking Vika's hand, the man entered the VVIP elevator. Vika grimaced feeling a pain in her wrist.

Vika rushed into the elevator. After arriving at the employee's special doorstep, he took a deep breath. Then enter the room that already contains several salespeople.

"You, who?" ask a woman named Fany.

"Ah, my new SPG shoes Yongkru, Brother," replied Vika.

"I'm your partner today." Fany reached out her hand, and was greeted enthusiastically by Vika.

"Ah, yes, Brother Fany. Please guide him" said Vika.

Vika and Fany tidied up their looks. After looking pleasing to the eye, the two stepped towards the counter. There they cleaned the glass hamburgers where the shoes were displayed.

Occasionally Fany told him the tasks while working there. They also discuss the most fun things in the world of work, namely salaries and bonuses. The conversation of the two stopped, when the figure of the man who was hit by Vika approached.

"Die Me!" muttered Vika while bowing her head.

"Vik, what's the problem?" ask Fany.

"A-anu .. no, sister," replied Vika nervously.

Without Vika realizing it the man was already at their shoe counter. Instead of saying hello, Vika turned her back.

"He's the new SPG?" ask the man.

"Yes, sir," Fany replied as she pulled up Vika's shirt sleeve.

"Call your coordinates, fire him if he can't appreciate the customer!" the man's orders.

As soon as Vika's head was back up, she turned her body. A silly smile rose on his thin lips.

"Sorry sir, I was cleaning the dust on the display table earlier," said Vika.

"Okay, I'm sorry this time. If you repeat it, don't expect to work here for the rest of your life!" threaten the man.

Vika gulped her saliva roughly. He had to work in that place until he could pay off his mother's debt. After his business with the Banyu boss was completed, Vika certainly resigned.

"Oh yes, sir. Is there anything we can help you with?" ask Fany to switch the conversation.

"Pick me a 38-sized shoe for my mom" Mahen said.

"Wait a minute, sir." Fany headed to the shelf where the women's shoes were on display shortly after, Fany returned with two pairs of shoes.

Fany's right hand carried a pair of *pu*mp shoes in camel color, made of velvet with horizontal line texture. The shoe has a seven-centimeter thick right box with rounded ends.

While his left hand carried a synthetic leather **tiletto, and coated with a bright red satin. The shoe also has a seven-centimeter right, but is more pointed.

"Hey new boy! Which shoes are better for my mom?" ask Mahen.

Vika was just stunned, she had just entered work today. His knowledge of the product was still a huge zero.

"Sir, he just came in today. So ...." Fany's words hung in the air due to Mahen's sharp gaze.

"I didn't ask you!" exclaimed Mahen while staring intently.

"You'd better pick these pumps instead of stilettos." A cold sweat now drenched Vika's forehead.

"Why?" ask Mahen.

"That's .. because ... using pumps will be more comfortable and safe for women in their 50s," Vika explained.

Mahen nodded slowly. He seems to be thinking. Then step towards Fany and take the stiletto out of her hand. Seeing Mahen's actions made Vika's lips gap wide.

"So actually my opinion from the beginning is not needed?" inner Vika.
