Cassie's mother had left them alone and went to her room to rest.

"What are you doing here? They sent you to..." The nightmares he often dreamed came to his mind. The time had come, he thought, they would take him away from his mother, torture him and finally kill him with the long sword he dreamed of almost every night.

"I came here to carry this" He pointed to a black bag with Cassie's name stitched on it.

"You'll need it for tomorrow."

"But I don't have a bag .."

"They gave it to you this morning after..." Nathan doesn't know how to describe what happened.

"In it is a hunter's suit about the size of yours. You no longer need to practice with a loose suit that makes you feel uncomfortable while moving."

"I'm actually nervous, the suit has nothing to do with it ..."

"Impossible, people like you can't be clumsy" Casalia knew what she meant, she felt that she knew she was a hybrid, but she didn't say anything. He kept quiet and listened.

"You can beat Morgan, we both know that. You just have to learn to handle it."

Someone knocked on your door. They came for me, thought the girl but 9.22%5

Someone knocked on Cassie's door. They came for me, thought the girl. But before he could even open it, Nathan pulled the sword from behind his back and charged forward.

He looked into her eyes and Cassie felt a strange sensation. Then the boy turned around and opened the door.

After she opened the door, Cassie's heart started pounding. He thought they had arrived, they were going to take it but obviously that moment had not arrived yet.

"Cassie... What is he doing here?"It was clear that Nathan was the last person Cam wanted to see at his friend's house.

Nate returned the sword to where he was continuing his usual expression.

"See you tomorrow at practice and put your clothes on, you'll fight better this time" he said, looking at the bag on the table. Then, without saying anything more, he disappeared into the darkness.

"Cassie?" Cameron looked at his face with a probing look. It was clear that he did not understand what was going on, and Cassie did not understand anything either.

"It's okay, he's coming to bring me war supplies."

"And how much would it cost you to send me a text message to let me know that you're okay? I think about you all day! I think something has happened to you!" Cam is furious and Cassie is afraid she will leave at any moment.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I..."

Cam sighed and took control again.

"Next time tell me, okay?" Generally Cassie doesn't like to get attention from someone, but with Cameron it's different, she's different.

"Are you sure he came just for that?"

The girl nodded and looked down.

"Thank you for coming this far, Cam, but now I want to take a break. I feel tired..."

Cam nodded and left Cassie.

"See you tomorrow Cassie" But the way she went, the way she said Cassie's name, was kind of suspicious. He looked angry not only because Cassie hadn't contacted him all day, it seemed like there was more. Cassie felt stupid thinking that maybe she was just jealous. Cameron sees him as a friend, always has been and always will be.

Nathan White is clearly the last person Cam expects to meet at Cassie's house, and he's pretty sure there's another reason for Nathan's arrival at Cassie's, but temporarily doesn't ask, at least for now.

At the same time he was also worried about Cassie, that they would find her and take her away from here, away from her. If that happened to him, he would feel useless, as if the past ten years saw him had been a waste. He likes the idea of being able to hunt someday, but he can't forget what prompted him to make this trip because protecting Cassie remains one of his main goals. They have been there for each other since they met.

Cam can never forget the first time Cassie took the form of a wolf, how she cried out in pain as her bones broke one after another. Not too hard for Cam. Ever since she was five years old, she had often turned into a wolf and returned to being human, all types had managed to do so without too much difficulty from an early age, but Cassie was different.

When he got home, his brother was still on the couch. It was clear that he was waiting for her, as usual. Despite everything, he was also always there for Cameron, always pushing him not to give up and being the only one supporting him from the first moment. His parents initially did not accept well the boy's decision to become a hunter like his brother. Everything was different in his time, only the Nephilim could become hunters, so his parents never dreamed of doing such a thing. But in the end, they were proud of their two sons and did not hinder any of them.

"How did it go?"

"Say it well"

"Why do we say? Is something wrong?"

"How much do you know about Nathan White?"

"Nephymes?"

His brother shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know what it is but I think he has wolf blood..."

"So you're saying he's like Cassie?" Josh nodded.

"But why do you want to know about him? Is something wrong?"

"No, he's at Cassie's house and..."

"Do you think there's anything between them?"

"NO!"

"Cam, you can hide it from mom and dad and all your other friends, but not me! I'm looking at how you look at him and I know that what you feel for him goes beyond friendship"

"Well, shut up! I love him like he's my brother!" And that's true. She never felt anything for Cassie other than fraternal affection, she saw no hatred in their relationship.

"I'm tired, I don't want to waste time with this shit..." Josh shrugged and turned to watch TV.

The next morning, Cassie awakens with a throbbing headache after a dreamless night. It was not too difficult for him to fall asleep the night before and he just remembered that before falling asleep he wondered why the boy was in his house.

It was cold enough, so cold that Cassie felt it in her bones. A normal wolf would not feel a drop in temperature, but he definitely did not. He changed his clothes, took the rest of his belongings, and headed to the kitchen where his mother prepared breakfast for him.

"Oh, baby, how beautiful you are!"

Mother smiled. He was proud of the girl. He grew up among wolves and managed to adapt even though a part of him did not belong to that species.

"Try to be careful, okay? And don't go home with bruises again... My heart hurts to see you like this!"

"Don't worry"

Cam knocked on the door at that moment. He usually waits for her in the driveway and has never been to her home before last night. She herself admitted that it was a bit strange considering their relationship, but she had no idea why Cam had never entered her house after all this time they had known each other.

"I have to go, see you later." She kissed her mother on the cheek and left the house.

Cameron looked bad and the dark circles under his eyes were a bit unusual on his dark face.

"Are you okay?" He did not notice and continued walking.

"Cam!" he touched her shoulder and Can jumped in surprise.

"I'm sorry, I didn't sleep all night! How beautiful the clothes are. It looks like you've already sewed them!" said smile.

In fact, it looked too small for Cassie, too tight. It emphasized the curves of his body and made him feel tidal at ease.

As they enter the gym where the training takes place, Cassie unknowingly turns her gaze towards Morgan. He thought the boy was going to tell him something, that he was still a little annoyed because the day before, but it turned out that he was not. He also looked at her, but her expression and attitude exuded arrogance from every pore, as usual. He acted as if it was nothing. He smiled cynically at her and then continued to check on the other students. The other vampires also decided to stop and now they are weird.

"Casalia and Cameron, do you think it's time to arrive?"

"Excuse me, Mr. White, it's my fault." said the girl. The man looked at them with expressionless eyes and sighed.

"This time it's okay, but next time I won't be too merciful! Cameron's joining Crystal and you, Cassie, come with me."

"What should I do with the crystal?"

"Fight! "

"But it's a woman! Why don't you make Cassie fight him?" Mr. White approached him and looked at him threateningly.

"I'm in charge here, so now come down and do what I say!"

Cameron said nothing, he stared at Cassie's friend one last time and joined her partner.

"Why are you treating him like this?"

"Come with me, you'll fight Nathan."

"That? Didn't you see how Morgan treated me yesterday? Do you want me to go home with black eyes again?" His tone was less confident than usual. He realizes that he was a fool for challenging Morgan and now Mr. White throws him at a bigger shark even though he convinces him that he intends to protect him.

"Trust me once and for all!"
