REMPAK: The Destruction

REMPAK: The Destruction
Part 23: His Heart Was Scattered On The Street With Disappearance

Airi's feet stepped down from the bus. He already felt his stomach improve after sleeping all the way to the Eastern District. The little smiling girl felt the warm sunlight that was starting to run down her skin.

The Eastern District scented the coast, there was wind everywhere. The smell of salt quickly seeps into Airi's olfactory. He immediately reached into his pocket to look for a piece of paper containing his new home address.

Airi read each letter there slowly, comparing it to the virtual map that appeared on the smart phone. It is about 2 km from where Airi stands now, the East District bus terminal. He said Airi could take a bus line in the city to get there, run a little for ten minutes, then look for a small green-painted apartment. The house Royo bought was on the second floor, number 31.

He tightened the sling on his large backpack, preparing to search for the transportation Airi needed. The girl did not intend to tell the father if she had arrived here, Airi wanted to make a surprise. After all, Airi was very confident, Royo would soon be coming here to pick him up if he said he had reached the terminal. It's no longer a surprise.

While waiting, Airi stared at the crossroads that separated the city with the sea standing firmly across it. Very close to the ocean, everyone in the Eastern District could probably see the sea just by going up to the second floor of their home. It would be great if Airi could also look at him every day. Jizo is right about this place is a comfortable city to live in.

The girl can't stop smiling and will stay here next year with her father. There will be chicken soup in the near future, meet each other when tired, do not even need to be separated for months. Airi was very fond of the plans that she put on the brain at that time. Everything was so perfect, as if he never had another hard day to deal with.

When Airi saw the bus approaching, she was shocked by her mobile phone vibrating many times in her pocket. Apparently, dingy. So, Airi paused for a moment only to find an unknown number plastered there.

His intuition said to just pick up the call. So, Airi swiped the green button there.

"Hello?"

"Hello. Did I talk to Mr Royo's son?"

Airi's forehead is wrinkled. He does not recognize this voice. Then, why would he even ask about Airi's father? The feeling is not good.

"Huh-yes?" Airi replied unsure. The voice across the phone disappeared for a moment. Airi's heart became a background sound at the void of those few seconds.

"If possible, can you come to the local bureau of the Eastern District? We need you to confirm something."

"Sorry, but who am I talking to? Where's dad? Why are you asking about him?"

Airi couldn't believe it just like that. Coincidentally, he was indeed in the Eastern District, but this person who contacted him was suspect. He did not even introduce himself first.

"Come, we'll wait if that's possible. You can see it for yourself. I'll send the local bureau address right away."

Tut's.

And the call was unilaterally cut off. Airi's eyes widened. What the fuck? He's not upset, but he's worried about his father's condition now.

Why is Royo at the local bureau? Is he in trouble? Is his father dealing with someone evil?

Airi shook her head. No way, no way. He was talking about his father, a workaholic man where he had to get to know the bad guys let alone weird until he came to the local bureau.

Ting!

Not long after, a message containing an address came to his phone. Airi checked it on the internet while biting her finger in panic. He made sure the address was not fake, and sure enough, the address the stranger had sent was the same as what was written on the official page of the local bureau of the Eastern District.

According to the road signs, it's only two blocks from here. Airi doesn't even need a bus to get there. The girl suddenly walked away with her body that was already cold hot. I don't know why it's so hard to walk. But, Airi could not shake her bad thoughts.

Airi's breathing gasped as soon as she reached the front of the building in that modern style. White and gray and the big emblems of the local bureau lined with the police were scattered in every corner. Airi wasted no time, the girl approached the reception desk immediately.

"Excuse me, I was called here for someone named Royo." Airi gulped her saliva. The closer to where her father is, Airi's feelings get even more chaotic. He was afraid that something that could not be fixed was something that he would see here.

The officer in the gray uniform was silent for a moment looking at him. He did not directly tell where Airi was headed.

"You're from the Western District?" The female officer asked in a gasp. She must not have been someone who spoke to Airi on the phone.

"Y-well, I happened to be on my way to see my father."

"Oh!" Like getting his own answer, the officer immediately went to drive him through the long hallways filled with busyness. There were a lot of people talking to each other, some shouting with communication devices. It was definitely not a friendly office.

Airi stopped at the very end of the door in this hallway. The officer with him knocked on the door with the autopsy room. Airi tasa, she was taken to the wrong place.

"A-ano, I want to see my father. Why was I brought here?"

The officer looked equally confused. He blinked looking at Airi.

"Aren't you called here to make sure of something? ask the officer.

Airi scratched her nape. "I think so. But why are we here?"

They had not yet fully entered the room. But, from Airi's distance he could smell the air conditioning and the disinfectant mixed into one.

"It looks like Mr. Arba didn't explain to you in detail."

"You're here to confirm Mr. Royo's identity. A body was found hours ago. And your number's at the top of the contact list on her phone."

Airi's eyes were wide. He refused to believe. His feet involuntarily took a step back.

"You must be kidding."

These people must want to work on it. How could the person inside that Airi father when he had just heard his voice this morning before leaving? They had a dinner appointment with soup today. Her father, must be in a new house, heating up the broth.

"That's why you're here, miss. We need your confirmation to see if his identity is appropriate." The officer seemed to speak without heart when clearly the teenage girl in front of him shook violently.

"You want to come in?" he nodded once more to Airi.

The girl shook her head hard. Airi would not! Where will! There's no way that guy's in there his dad! A lie! A braggart! The drama!

Airi took a step back as the officer tried to gently grab her hand. He just brushed aside the help to stand firm even though both of his pedestals were numb.
