Eastern District,
The territory of Corvus,
Kido Prefecture.
Sneakers and a pair of brown pantofel came out of a shiny black car. Jizo and Saka walked quickly towards the crowd that had already started to disperse.
Jizo had to leave his bag in the car in a panic. While Saka, the man just held himself back, even had time to take his sun-resistant glasses on the back bench.
"Saka, Jizo." They were greeted by a pudding-haired man who looked calm even though the police were pacing around.
Jizo glanced at Arba's back, there were no bodies there. Paint a marker of the corpse that is not too clear how the shape is indeed traceable, but it seems to have been evacuated before he got here.
"The body was taken for autopsy. We're confirming his identity." Jizo walked following Arba who was explaining. Saka at the back, not commenting much, he listened well.
"Arba, what do you think..." Jizo hung up his sentence. His head fell around, and then closed himself to his friend and spoke more slowly.
"What does this have to do with what happened at Caracal's place?" whisky Jizo. The man smelled an unpleasant smell from this incident.
It has only been a few weeks since a civilian male corpse was found in the Caracal region. Now, another one takes place at the pier, which of all places, is the clearest territory belonging to the Corvus group of organizations.
This could have been a coincidence, but thinking of it as intentional and premeditated murder, was also not a wrong move to take.
"We don't know yet. Mr. Ko just asked me to hand this over first to the Local Bureau until evidence of our connection is found. Caracal did the same thing."
Jizo nodded his head. His forehead was wrinkled thin as his head was now filled with many theories. Arba sighed softly while patting the man's shoulder.
"Go around for a while before returning to the Big House. Sir says you have to gather your thoughts first about the docks."
"Then you?" jizo asked as Arba drove off to his own car. The head pudding turned his head, he slowly pulled the four-wheeled carriage door while looking back at Jizo and Saka.
"I'm going to the Local Bureau's office. Saka, help the police here if they need anything."
"I'll tell you the details later. Stay here until the other members come to replace you overseeing the dock." Arba said before entering his car and going to the place he mentioned earlier.
Jizo didn't hold it for much longer. The man now walks with Saka.
The mullet man next to him pulled out a pack of cigarettes as they stood on the edge of the police line. The place they were standing right now was under a large faucet. It's not too in the corner, but also not in the vast environment. Just the usual side of the pier is inconspicuous.
"You want to?" Saka offered him one butts after reaching out to the fire-wigger from his pocket. Jizo shook his head as without a rejection.
"You're the only underage member who refuses cigarettes."
"I'm just following the law" said Jizo. In fact, he was just not interested in that cylindrical thing. No, maybe? Jizo just felt like he didn't have to eat it now. When he is more mature, Jizo will think again whether he really needs that thing or not.
"When your face is like a delinquent" taunted Saka before sucking on her skirt. Jizo grunting. Damn, his face has nothing to do with Jizo's behavior, huh. Don't be a vigilante.
The man was just observing the scene, looking around at some police officers standing guard there. People working at the dock were asked to keep their distance. They were not as many as Jizo's shadow, but he was sure the rumors and news would spread quickly.
"Is the body wrapped in something?" After a while of observing, Jizo thought of one thing on the size of the marker. The scene of the incident was not too large for the size of one corpse.
Cigarette smoke was exhaled by Saka before responding to Jizo's remarks. He looked at the red paint field there.
"Seems— Hey! Oi! You, come!"
"Is the body wrapped in something?" saka asked the officer bearing Fuda's name. The mullet male crossed his arms in front of his chest.
The officer did not answer immediately, but looked at Jizo and Saka alternately with full investigation.
"Ah, I'm a member of Corvus." Realizing that she had just asked the details of a case, Saka rolled up her arm to show her a crow tattoo there.
Fuda finally understood. Even so, he only answered super short.
"Yes," he said. Saka's forehead twitched. That was not the answer he expected. Jizo understood, this person wanted more detailed info.
"With what?"
"Bag."
"What bag?"
"Just take it."
Fuda is still loyal to his idea of not aging more than that. Before Saka moves to sue for the no-no, Jizo holds him back.
"Thank you very much."
"Police sucks." Saka complained after throwing a blatantly exasperated look at Fuda. The young police warden had already left without saying more.
"You know for yourself the police and the local bureau are fencing us." Jizo didn't take a headache. The law enforcement officer in Kido Prefecture is the body that stands opposite to all groups of organizations in the region.
Naturally, they assumed that the groups were nothing more than a bunch of mafia monopolizing resources. However, because of the power and strength of each organization, it forces law enforcement and central leaders to stand side by side with them.
All of these stories are public secrets between politicians and members of organizational groups. However, over the years they managed to keep the ears of the common people away to prevent the commotion.
"Saka! Jizo!"
Jizo looked at the source of the voice calling out to him. Oh, that's Huta. The bald man with a baby-like face came with the other Corvus members.
Huta embraces her briefly, greeting her very kindly. "How are you, bro? You like the Western District?"
Jizo's eyeballs rotate. Everyone liked to tease him about the Western District. Clearly Jizo had never asked to leave the Eastern District alone.
"Arba called. I came straight from the sub dock when I heard you were there."
"Where did you say you missed me?" This Huta is only slightly better than Saka. But his eleven-twelve infuriating nature, just as it feels like a curse to Jizo.
Perhaps, they just naturally always annoyed Jizo because he was the youngest of them all. Like whatever Jizo was before the world, when he returned to the Eastern District, Jizo was nothing more than a little brother who was good at fighting.
"Because you're here, I'm going home to the big house." Jizo releases Huta's embrace. He stood up straight without any burden.
"The six-hour journey with fools is exhausting to know" he continued. Across there Saka glared.
"Haaahhhh?!"
"I didn't even say anything?!" Saka exclaimed a sprain, while Huta laughed loudly while waving his hands a parting sign.
