Ch.380 - Towards the Valley of Lightning

Xiang Yang sat cross-legged at the top of Xin Ji Mountain. Adjusting his breath for a moment, making his blood flow smooth, calming the heart and mind so as not to have any control when starting a cultivation breakthrough.

Xiang Yang also started consuming Spirit Pills of level 7 which was the lowest level Spirit Pill he had.

Naturally Xiang Yang did not consume one but two Spirit Pills at once with the opposite element in order to facilitate the absorption process.

Ever since breaking through the second layer of the Yin-Yang Emperor's cultivation manual, Xiang Yang had not taken long to absorb the energy from pills or Spirit Pills that were only at the 7th level.

It took a few minutes and Xiang Yang went back to consuming the other Spirit Pills. That continued until 3 weeks later, Xiang Yang spent the thousands of Spirit Pills level 7 he had.

Despite already consuming thousands of Spirit Pills, Xiang Yang could still sense it was far from enough words to make him break through.

He was also now consuming Spirit Pills level 8. There were about a thousand Spirit Pills level 8 that Xiang Yang had, which took him 10 days to consume all of them.

Now Xiang Yang had spent a month and there was still no sign of a breakthrough.

"I haven't even reached halfway to break through to the next level yet! In that case," Xiang Yang took out a tier 9 Spirit Pill then began to consume it.

There were several hundred Spirit Pills of tier 9.

1 month back passed, Xiang Yang had already consumed all the Spirit Pills of level 9. He could sense it was already halfway to the Half Immortal level.

Without further ado, Xiang Yang swallowed the two Spirit Pills.

Instantly Xiang Yang could feel the surge of energy within his body, filling the entire part of his dantian until it expanded forcefully.

Xiang Yang continued to focus on cultivating all of that energy, until a week passed.

Explosions of energy shot out from Xiang Yang's body, indicating that he had already broken through to the Half Immortal level.

At a glance Xiang Yang could feel an extremely drastic change from his strength. He could feel the difference between the Mahayana level and the Half Immortal level was extremely far away

Xiang Yang opened his eyes then looked up, looking at the still-bright sky without any sign of a catastrophic cultivation breakthrough.

"When I will accept the Law of Tribulation," Xiang Yang smiled wryly.

Normally cultivators would be afraid of the Laws of Tribulation because normally cultivators would fail at those stages.

If they fail, death awaits them.

Yet Xiang Yang instead felt uneasy from not getting the Tribulation Law that cultivators feared so much.

"It's still not time for you to obtain the Law of Tribulation," the Yin-Yang God suddenly appeared in front of Xiang Yang.

"Then will I get the Law of Tribulation, teacher?" ask Xiang Yang.

"Okay, the teacher doesn't know for sure either, but the teacher knows it's not time for you to get the Law of Tribulation!" The Yin-Yang God said confidently, "but you don't have to worry. Master told me that this is not a bad thing, but it is an immeasurable blessing!"

Xiang Yang could only smile wryly as his teacher still did not seem to want to tell him what happened to him to not get the Law of Tribulation.

"Yes too!" Xiang Yang was excited to try out his new strength.

Moreover, an ability that he directly gained after breaking through.

A moment later, Xiang Yang released a beam of extreme cold energy.

Upon reaching a certain distance, that cold energy suddenly became a flash of lightning, until its speed increased tremendously.

Half of Mount Xin Ji was instantly destroyed. The remnants of the energy from Xiang Yang's attack spread out along with the smoke of the blast dust.

Not long after, the scattered remnants of energy turned into sharp ice fragments and then fell down as if into hail that numbered in the tens of thousands.

When all the ice chips were stuck in the ground, making the ground into an ice beach as if the lake water were frozen.

Xiang Yang then made a hand gesture. Suddenly the ice floor turned into a blazing fire.

Then with a flutter of hands, the flames instantly disappeared.

"FREQUENT!" Xiang Yang was completely amazed by his new abilities after being at the Half Immortal level.
