The story of Cleria 1 (Part 1)

(“This is the kitchen that Madam and Tara-sama often use for cooking.”)

"I tried one, and it was really cake. It's kind of sweet, crunchy, and delicious."

(“It's pretty good. But, are there no other sweets available besides this?”) 

(“Ya. It's the only candy we have. They are made from wheat flour and baked.”) 

"So they only have cake for sweets huh? But there's more we can do."

(“I understand. In that case, I should check the ingredients available next. ”) 

"I checked the jar of a material that resembled porcelain first. Is this sugar? Yeah, that's sugar okay. It is not white, but light brown. Tastes good. It's not as sweet as the sugar I used to use, but it'll be fine. There is also some salt, honey, a number of different seasonings and wheat flour. Hm, so what should I do?"

"Jonas-san opened a large shelf. There are eggs and other materials, either tied with a cloth or put in a porcelain container, inside. Waves of cold air blew out of the shelves."

"I get the urge to make a cake using these ingredients. But I'll prepare something different. I'll make something simple so I won't accidentally break it and damage it."

"Let's go with a standard Earth-style steamed egg pudding. I personally prefer baked pudding, but I am not used to using the kind of oven they have in this kitchen. Since that's the case, it would be best not to force it."

"I took out all the materials I needed. Milk, eggs, and sugar. Just these three."

"I checked the cookware before I started making the pudding. There are two platforms that resemble a stove in the kitchen."

"Jonas-san pulls the lever on the side of one of the stoves. When he did, the stove immediately spouted flames. Looks like you can use a lever to set the intensity of the flame."

"I then pour the finished mixture from the pan into another container to let it cool. After the mixture cools properly, I pour some of the finished caramel sauce into the container that I will use as a mold for the pudding."

"I'll make the next pudding mix. I put the appropriate amount of sugar and milk in a large pot and heated the mixture using a magic stove."

"I then add some eggs to the mixture after heating it for a while. I also broke a number of eggs on top of a porcelain bowl and started shuffling them. I added a little salt to adjust the taste as well."

"Let's get the steamer ready, too. I poured water into the large pot I found earlier, put the lid of the small pot a few centimeters above the water line, put a large pot on the stove, and lit a fire."

"Susu has been sufficiently heated at this point. I stir the milk mixture to make sure the sugar dissolves properly. After that, I add the egg whisk to the mix."

"I then asked Jonas-san for help to pour hot milk and egg mixture on the filter. We repeated the screening process twice just to make sure."

"We poured the finished pudding mixture into a mold smeared with caramel sauce. We managed to fill fifteen containers with that mixture. Looks like I nailed the amount of mixture. Once this is steamed in the pot, the pudding will finally be finished."

"Improvisational steamers are also great to use. It seemed impossible to put fifteen prints into the pot, so we steamed them in two groups. We put half the container into the pot and steam it with a small fire. It should be enough to steam it for ten minutes or so."

"After ten minutes, we removed the container from the pot. They are quite hot, so we have to be careful in getting them out. I poured some more water into the improvised steamer, and once the water boiled, we also steamed the second batch."

"Let's test the taste of the pudding. I put one container in a pot half filled with cold water to cool it down. I'll put the rest into the cooling magic tool later after it's cool enough."

"We took out the second batch from the steamer after ten minutes. We let them calm down too."

(“We are finally done. We just need to put this into the cooling magic tool to cool it.”)

"I took out the pudding mold from the cold water."

(“You should remove the pudding from such a container.”) 

"I used my finger to scrape off part of the pudding mixture that was stuck to the edge of the mold."

(“Take out the plate, turn the container and shake it slowly on the plate until the pudding comes out. There we go.”) 

(“Oh! So this is pudding!”) 

"It does look good, at least. A dark brown caramel sauce drips into a creamy pudding."

"I cut the pudding in half and put half on another plate. I offered half to Jonas-san for him to taste."

"Mm, delicious. The cold is not enough, but the creamy pudding taste is very suitable with the bitter taste of caramel sauce. The recipe actually included an ingredient from Earth called vanilla, but items from Earth were considered luxury items and were quite hard to come by. Once it's cold to some degree, I'm sure it'll be even tastier."

"I turned around to check on Jonas-san, only to find him petrified on the spot with bulging eyes."

"I went back to the room after we put the rest of the pudding into the magic fridge. Beck and Thor also return to the room."
