..."When the heart is too hopeful for someone, God will put on you the pain of that hope. God is very jealous of a heart that wishes other than Him. The Lord prevents you from doing this so that you may return to hope in Him"...

...*****...

The next day, Nara did as Ms. Rania ordered.

After handing over his resignation letter, he returned to his desk to pack up his belongings.

A few minutes after packing, Nara stepped into the CEO's room to say goodbye to the owner of the company where she worked.

"Why resign from this job?" Ask Mr. Idris who is full of dignity. He deeply regrets the resignation of Nara, an exemplary employee who has always been able to overcome her company's problems. "Is it because of your relationship with Tama?"

"No sir, I'm actually continuing my education abroad"

"But why suddenly?"

"Because of his sudden notification, I apologize once again" he said.

"Isn't it really because of dinner the other day?" Ask full of probing.

"Absolutely not sir"

Mr. Idris seemed to take a deep breath, then slowly throw it away. Before then nodding off.

"Well, if that's your decision, I wish you success"

"Thank you sir, if you'll excuse me"

"Yes please"

It took up to fifteen minutes for Nara to get out of Mr. Idris' company building.

Nara walked while carrying a cardboard box filled with office equipment. For a moment he felt that everything that happened to him was like a dream that could change his life for seconds.

His memory was focused on the first time he entered the building that read Angkasa Group to conduct an interview.

At that time, Nara was nervous when she got a strange look from a man named Gautama who participated in selecting his prospective employees.

Two days after the interview, Nara was called back to work because she had been accepted to join the company.

Of the three positions that are being sought, Nara occupies a position of secretary to help the son of the owner of the company who also recently joined to help the father in taking care of his business.

In fact, secretaries are not the majors that Nara took while studying.

Now, this place will only be a memory. Memories of where she felt in love with Tama, memories where he can help the family economy pay off debts that Mr. Ramdan borrowed to send himself to school and help the treatment of the wife who suffered from swollen heart.

And now, he had to let it all pass because of the insistence of Miss Rania.

Two days later, in the afternoon,

Tama, who had just returned from out of town and headed straight to the office, stared confusedly at the figure of the woman occupying Nara's desk.

His throat was suddenly dry, his heart suddenly racing faster when it was not Nara he found on his desk. When he returned from business, the first person he wanted to look at was Nara.

Tama desperately hopes that Nara will be the cure of her tiredness and heightened sense of longing, that's why she's headed straight to the office.

But his hope was dashed when another figure was actually in front of his room.

"Who are you?" Tama asked with sharp nosediving eyebrows. His eyes flashed tiredly, and the gurgle on his face implied disappointment.

The woman immediately stood up to see Tama coming. "I'm Gea sir, new secretary"

Tama was surprised by the answer from him. Previously, both father and mother did not say anything about Nara who was suddenly replaced by Gea. New secretary of choice Bu Rania.

Without responding to Gea's words, Tama immediately took wide steps towards the father's room. He will ask for an explanation about the change of secretary without prior notice.

"Why is there a new secretary? Ask without a stale base. His gaze sharply held back disappointment.

"Loh, didn't you know that Nara resigned two days ago?"

The man came out without a word as soon as he heard his father's words.

When in front of the room Mr. Idris, Tama passed by Ms. Rania who also contributed in managing his company. He served as CTO and decision-maker if Idris was not in office.

"Tama"

"Tama, where are you going?" He asked in a high voice as Tama continued to step up.

Sighing quietly while shaking her head, Rania ma'am entered her husband's room.

"What happened to Tama?"

"He asked about his new secretary" said Mr. Idris. "Does Nara's resignation have anything to do with you?" Further asked. Complete with an intimidating look.

"Dad don't accuse without proof yes, didn't he himself say he would continue his education abroad?"

Mr. Idris no longer speaks to his wife. He preferred to continue his work, rather than having to argue with his wife.

Meanwhile, Tama drives her car to Nara's house.

It takes about thirty minutes to get to the destination.

"Asalamu'alaikum?"

"Campaign_lam"

"Why did you resign from the company?" Tama's question made Nara stutter.

"I_" said Nara, whose voice was stuck on the tip of her lips.

Not finished saying the sentence, Tama had already pulled Nara's hand when she saw that Fitri was suddenly behind Nara's back.

He takes Nara to the car and forces her in. After Nara had sat in the car, Tama walked around the front of the car and climbed up and sat in the steering wheel.

He helped put a seat belt around Nara's waist before putting his seat belt on.

After that, the man who was in a blanket of fatigue, annoyed and disappointed, drove the car at high speed as if he was venting his terrible feelings.

Stopping at the beach area, he pulled Nara's hand to get out of the car.

"Why did you do that Na?"

Instead of answering, Nara instead let go of the ring on her ring finger.

He grabs Tama's hand and returns the ring.

"What does this mean?"

"Sorry, I don't love you"

When Nara said that, it was like there was a sudden pain in there.

Tama looked at Nara with an incredulous look mixed in surprise. "I can't believe it. I saw the lie in your eyes Na"

"Go we're done" Nara said and walked away. When her steps were only three steps away, Tama quickly grabbed her wrist.

They looked at each other silently, staring at each other with a wounded look. It was clearly visible from the twinkle of his equally dark eyes.

"Detach" Nara said after breaking their eye contact while trying to remove her grip.

"I won't let you go before you say what happens as long as I'm not around"

"Nothing happens unless I reflect on my feelings that turned out to only love your treasure, not you" Nara said quickly.

"I just want the position of being the wife of a young businessman like you, I never loved you at all" she said lying and immediately the pain in there increasingly felt up to her bones.

After successfully removing the quarrel from Tama's hand, Nara stepped away and ran without even looking back, leaving Tama still petrified.

The man continued to stare at the woman he loved with a barren look.

Seriate

Maybe I am the only author who has never promoted his work on social media such as IG, FB, or other social media.

I still have no confidence in the novels I have written.

There are still many defects, especially in the idea of a story that is less beautiful, stale, or writing that is not neatly arranged. In other words, messy put punctuation and typo.

Maybe I am an author who never stopped by the work of others, never gave likes, votes, and comments in other author novels. Because I really do not have time to read every work from friends. The busyness of being a woman who has several positions (One of them is a housewife), makes me never glance at the work of fellow authors 😇
