Queen of Avalon: Adventure Solo
Chapter 23 - Kid and An Angel

"Where are we going?" ask Florence, close the library door.

Elizabeth replied, "Do you want to go to town with me? I forgot to bring my lunch." Because many people passed by, he invited Florence to walk with him.

"That's a great idea!" frederick, "I heard there's a cheap bazaar welcoming the Summer Festival, how about we stop by for a moment?"

"All right." Elizabeth nodded in response to Florence's question.

Strapelts is located in Oregon's royal capital, Weldemort. The city became the largest trading center in Oregon and as a city of nobles. Many of them – nobles and traders build new businesses in this city, with a population of 500,425 people making the income of new business people soar so quickly.

The main livelihoods in the city are mining and agriculture. There are several major cities in Oregon, but Weldemort is the first. It never hurts for Elizabeth to momentarily relieve her boredom by taking a walk in the corners of the city.

"Florence!" someone behind Elizabeth and Florence.

The two of them turned around, both of them were able to recognize the voice very well. There was no way they would not recognize their good friend, Samuel, who was walking towards them. The caramel-haired brunette with glasses approached them, clasping a book in her hand.

"Samuel's? Is your magic practice exam over?"

"Yes, that's how it is." she revealed with a smile on her lips.

Eli could guess if something happened to Samuel that made him smile like that.

He said. "It's not usually that your smile is much wider than usual, is there something going on? It seems to make you so happy."

"Actually...I got an A in my magic practice exam."

Florence, who heard it, raised her mouth wide and let out a voice, "Hahhh!" And his hands he stuck to each other and he put them on his chest.

"You're so great, Samuel! How about we celebrate with a walk in the capital?"

Florence looked at Elizabeth, then at Samuel. The man immediately smiled, seeing Florence so carefree that he could not bear to refuse her offer.

Samuel answered. "Good idea."

Seeing the two of them so cheerful made the flowers in Elizabeth's heart bloom. In his previous life when he was still his old self he rarely spent time with them, but the fact that soon he had to leave them made his heart ache.

I don't know what would happen to the two of them if he disappeared in an instant. Will Florence fall ill to hear the theme. Please leave it? Is Samuel going to quit school because of his disappearance?

All those things ringed in Elizabeth's head, making her heart and emotions turbulent. Who should he blame? This was all planned. He could not blame anyone, including Alexander.

"Elizabeth?"

If he could take the man's heart and spend time with him and get rid of Ellise from Alexander, he could have avoided her death and he would have had the life he had wanted all along.

There was nothing to worry about before the veil opened before his eyes.

"Elizabeth!"

"Yes!"

Hearing the tight sound in his ears made him instantly startled. Eliza looked towards Florence, she looked at him with a worried look.

"Is something wrong? I saw you daydream. If there's something you're hiding then tell us" Florence said honestly.

"I've seen you acting so strange these days" added Samuel, "The disciples are always talking about you know, they're spreading strange rumors about you and don't you care about it?"

Eliza who heard the words of Samuel was silent. If only the one in front of them was the old Elizabeth, then the rumour-makers would have quickly exterminated her even if she ended up in the detention room.

Elizabeth answered. "That's none of my business. You know, serving every rumor-maker would only add trouble for me. No matter how many rumors about me spread in the academy, you guys don't have to worry, I can handle it myself."

"But-"

"Not talk much! Lookie! We'll be at the gate soon."

After a few minutes, they arrived at the academy's gate. The gate was always open to anyone and at any time, so it was not for them to seek approval to the gatekeeper.

...***********...

The capital city of Weldemort is so vast and beautiful, especially in its square. Many ordinary – people and nobles walk around there, some shop for daily necessities and some even just walk to avoid getting bored.

'It's been a long time since I've been walking around in this city, usually I just spend my break at the academy. However, for some reason when I was outside, I felt so free.'

Eliza looked back, but she shook her head.

"Elizabeth, how about we get some sweets at that store?"

"All right."

As they walked to the store, they passed through several clothing and jewelry stores. As the daughter of Count Islan it was certainly easy for Elizabeth to buy the jewelry; rings, bracelets and even necklaces were neatly lined up in storefronts.

'Anyone who sees it will definitely not be able to bear to buy it.'

"Why did you stop, Elizabeth?" ask Florence.

"It's okay. Let's continue our journey."

Seeing Eliza drag them forcibly made the two wonder. Florence glanced for a moment at the nameplate of the shop they had just passed by. It was a jewelry store.

"Elizabeth, did you ever want to buy a ring?"

"Why do you think that?"

"So you stopped right at the jewelry store, why don't you buy yourself a ring?"

Samuel added. "You can't force Elizabeth. There are many things more precious than a ring."

"What's that?" ask Florence in a discordant tone.

"Food!"

Eliza did not hold back her smile, looking at Samuel who was so cheerful while dealing with the food store.

"How about we stop by this store first?"

"Good idea, Elizabeth!"

"No! Nah! Nah! We promised to buy sweets, Elizabeth! Don't listen to the diner next to you."

Suddenly the man stared intently at Florence, "What did you just say?" he said, putting both hands in front of his chest.

"I told you.the diner."

"From you the hair per."

"Well! You big glasses!"

"Zinc."

"Muncheoner."

"You two are enough!" Elizabeth immediately injured the two creatures, for some reason she felt that Florence and Samuel had not been able to mature. Although the three of them are still 15 years old, but at least Elizabeth thinks if both have a little sense of maturity.

"You are like a child. Aren't you ashamed of fighting like a child?"

"Finally, this little girl started."

"Hey! Don't call me a kid!"

"Already! It's already! If you're like this, then I'll walk alone!"

Unable to stand the behavior of the two of them, Eliza then walked away leaving them both. Florence had tried to stop him but Eliza was walking quite fast and lost in the crowd.

"It's all your fault!"

"Wrong you!"

"Wrong you!"

Their quarrels are getting worse.

On the other hand, Eliza who was walking alone went to a bakery. Looking at the crowd of the store, he could tell that the bread sold there was delicious.

He opened the door of the shop. As the air mixed with the aroma of the bread being roasted, it made Eliza's appetite wake up.

"Excuse me," he told a cashier, "It seems that the breads sold here are so good, can I order some?"

"Oh, I take that as a compliment. Thank you for taking your time to stop by my bakery."

Eliza stared for a moment at the middle-aged woman. The frown on his face did not cover his spirit at all.

"I thought you were a cashier."

"A lot of people think I was a cashier when they first came here. I don't have enough money to pay someone because this store just opened."

"So this bakery is new?"

"That's right young girl."

"Did I order some of your bread? I'm hungry."

"What do you want to taste?"

Seen from the outside it seems that every loaf on the toast is baked to the correct temperature, it makes every peel look so delicious when it enters the tongue. In terms of taste, there seem to be several variants.

"There's honey and wine, do you want it?"

"All right, I'll order honey 5."

The woman immediately took Eliza's order. While waiting for the girl to stare around the shop, but suddenly there was someone who nudged her body.

"Ouch!" yell that guy.

Eliza turned around, staring at the person who nudged her. Apparently he was a little boy and was moaning in pain on the floor.

"Uhhh."

"Are you okay?" eliza said as she extended her hand. "I don't see if there's you, I'm sorry."

"No, it's not your fault. I should've apologized, sorry for bumping into you."

"Here you go, let's get up."

Eliza also helped the child stand up, before she did not realize that there was a child next to her.

"My money!" The boy leaned over and picked up the silver coins that were falling on the floor.

"Do you want to buy bread?"

"That's right! I haven't eaten in a few days, so I'm very hungry. Good thing I found some silver coins a few days ago, so I can buy some bread."

Not eating for a few days? Is he a street? Judging from the clothes he was wearing it seemed like I had no need to doubt anymore. The clothes worn by the little boy were worn and hollow in some parts.

"Auntie, I want to buy one loaf of bread!"

"Ok, wait a minute."

Not long after, the woman who had been serving Eliza returned to her place and brought the order that belonged to Eliza and the boy.

"The price of one loaf is 7 silver coins."

The boy counted the number of coins he had in his hand, seen with his own eyes Eliza could only see 5 silver coins in his hand. When the look on the boy's face became sad, he seemed to know that there was not enough money to buy a loaf of bread.

"Auntie, I only have 5 silvers, is that enough."

The woman replied, "I'm sorry son, I just opened this bakery a few weeks ago. If you don't have enough money, I'm sorry you can't get your bread."

The words of the aunt who did not sound rude or loud can even make the face of the little angel become moody and sad.

"So.. I can't buy it?"

The aunt nodded. "I'm sorry, son."

The boy could only lower his head, staring blankly at the silver coins in his hand. To buy food alone cannot, how can he survive? Especially does he not have a home to live in? Sometimes, Eliza thinks even a world she thinks is peaceful, can behave cruelly for such a small child.

Her heart moved, Eliza said to the aunt. "Auntie, what about my order?"

"Here, it's 35 silver coins."

Immediately, Eliza took out a gold coin from her school pocket and reached out to the aunt.

"Just give it back to this little boy" said Eliza, taking a bag of bread on the table.

"But....Isn't this too much?"

"It's okay, I don't have the heart to see him cry anyway."

1 Gold coin is just his daily shopping money even Eliza has a lot in her pocket.

'Why don't I give it a little to the most needy? At least this will be recorded as my charitable kindness.' thought Eliza.

Before leaving, he felt a pull on his school shirt. "Sister!" shouted a little boy. Eliza turned and looked at the boy.

"Why is my brother helping me?"

"No need to think about it, I don't usually give money to a kid like you. Think of it as your lucky day, huh?"

"You shouldn't have to give me that kind of money."

Eliza did not want to say anything longer, she was hungry and eager to eat. He said, "I'm sorry I don't have much time. Aunty, please.." Get out of that bakery.

"All right."

Neither the aunt nor the little boy understood what was happening, but the woman did what she told him to do. He took all the bread and put it in the basket, then gave it to the little boy.

"Hey, take it." said the aunt, holding out a basket of bread.

The boy stretched out his hand. "Thank you" he said, "Auntie, this bread is so much that I think it's enough for two weeks. Thanks again."

"Listen son, don't thank me. I just did what the girl told me to do, thank her. Be lucky....There are people who still care about children like you."

If he hadn't gotten in touch with the girl, I don't know what would have happened. Am I going to get this basket of bread? I have to thank that girl! Right, I have to find him.

"Grandmother! Where can I find that beautiful sister?"

"Seeing from the clothes she was wearing, it seems that she is a student from the Magic Academy."

"Magic Academy? Then-" said the boy hurriedly, running towards the door and straight out without a word.

The woman just shook her head. "Hah, you child today" he said with a smile.
