Princess Fighter: Search for the Throne

Princess Fighter: Search for the Throne
Chapter 98: The Return Attack and the Deal Package

Ahilya Room, Himprayag

Ahilya's body was laid to the side on the bed and with a quick movement, the shadow dropped the sword on her neck. A burst of warm blood gushed out and landed on the killer's hands and face, signaling that the person on the bed had received a fatal blow. Opening the window, the man perched on the window sill and jumped down, holding the barely visible black rope he used to enter.

.

At the same time, several kilometers away

"He was a tall young man with an unruly look. He'll be here in about an hour. At that time, I hope the troops will be ready to leave as well. Once he gives you a modified agreement, it will officially sign an agreement between the two countries. I estimate that you and the troops will take no more than four hours to reach the rendezvous point. Just follow the map I drew. I'll wait for you by the river, "with that, Shaurya says goodbye to Princess Ahilya and drives his horse.

He will meet the chieftain at the foot of the mountain in Sapsindu, expecting their cooperation.

Royal Palace, Himprayag

There was a rush at the royal palace but no one knew exactly what was going on. Surprisingly, the strategic minister, Rudradev, came to visit Princess Ahilya's room at this late hour. He is greeted by a red-eyed Gayatri and ushered in quickly.

After a few minutes, the man left there with a grim face. It is narrated by the maid who used to serve in the princess's room to the other servants around her. For some reason, Gayatri had driven all the servants out of the princess' room and stood guard inside with a stone face.

"yeah? Is that true?" the king's hoarse voice sounded hoarse after being awakened at this hour.

Rudradev lowered his head and said,

"Please accept my deepest condolences for Princess Ahilya's untimely death. I believe that heaven must have welcomed him with open arms at this time."

The king was silent for a few seconds but then he snorted,

"Helped him? He would make a fuss even there with his unruly behavior. Huh! This poor boy. Ask someone to tell their mother what happened. Make sure the palace healer is present when Rani Nayantara is told about it. She rode this daughter a lot and probably couldn't bear the shock!"

Rudradev hesitated and then cleared his throat.

"Speak if you have something to say" said the sharp king.

Rudradev smiled sweetly,

"My king remains eagle-eyed as always, nothing can escape your attention! I just want to know that with your poor health and the absence of Prince Mithilesh, it would be best if we postpone the news of his death until he returns. We must not have ministers who have heretical thoughts about carrying out a coup with an unprotected throne at this time. I sent a message to the prince. Most likely, he will be here tomorrow night . This is just my simple advice, emerging from concern for keeping Himprayag safe."

The king nodded his head and replied,

"I agree with you. Ahilya room seal. Just make a story about him having a contagious disease or something. In the meantime, start making preparations on your side. We will not delay the coronation ceremony . Once Mithilesh is here, I'll name him the next king."

Rudradev bowed to the now exhausted king and stepped out of the room. He returned to Princess Ahilya's room and went inside after knocking.

"It's done. You have to keep this a secret until tomorrow night. Don't make hasty moves now. I know you definitely want to chase after the killer but you must not lose focus now. Ever since Veer told you to believe in me, believe me when I say this - my people are watching that person. He won't be able to escape. All you need to do is make sure that no one finds the real identity of the corpse in this room until the arrival of the prince. Do you understand?" He spoke in a low tone.

Gayatri nodded and asked,

"Is it according to plan? Will they be able to reach…"

Rudradev made a shushing voice and told him,

"Trust in your future ruler. I have to go now. Make sure to hold on till the end."

.

Late at night, Royal Palace, Sapsindhu

"Rapidly take it," King Amrendra reached out his hand to receive the letter carried by one of the envoys.

After reading the same thing, the king's thick eyebrows loosened and he shouted loudly.

"So, the almighty queen finally fell. Goody! The higher you are, the harder you fall. My son has made me proud. Make sure there is a big welcome waiting for the prince when he returns after fulfilling the old dream of his ancestors," the excitement in the voice of the old king could not be missed.

Over the past six months, he has seen Mahendra emerge as a viable candidate for the position of ruler of Sapsindhu. He managed to secure a proper alliance, both in Himprayag and Chandragarh. The king is proud of his son!

.

Midnight, Gurukul, Chandragarh

Mriga, Vandit, and Nirbhay are in the basement of the Admin building, where Mriga once helped Shaurya recuperate. The three had been summoned by Prithvi right after returning from the palace the previous day.

"You know what to do, now. Considering the situation, we must not misstep. Everyone's loyalty is being questioned at this time. Don't trust anyone but yourself. Don't stray from the mission. I don't want any martyrs at the end of this. Do you understand?" Prithvi spoke with his calm and calm demeanor.

Looking at it, no one would believe that the capital was currently under siege. Last night, the prince of Sapsindhu had stormed the capital Chandragarh and entered the palace. The aching 'queen' body had been removed from the palace earlier by Prithvi. No one knew where the 'queen' was or if he was still alive.

.

Gurukull, Chandragarh

Many royal guards were killed during the day, fighting against unexpected attacks. Although the Sapsindhu prince came with only a hundred freaks, they were enough to subdue the weak-looking palace guards. The palace has been conquered but the queen is gone. Perhaps one large unit of this guard had been sent along with the 'queen' to protect him. Is Prithvi working from the shadows?

"We won't let you down, Guruji," the three lowered their heads and spoke solemnly.

They filter and turn to disguises as they are given.

Prithvi needs a trusted hand in the royal palace and who is better than the puppies he has trained himself. The three of them came out wearing the official uniforms of the palace attendants. They sneaked into the palace through the stables as ordered.

As per the narrative, Mriga has turned into a young man and should have been serving in the queen's corridor for the past year. He stood in a determined position only to be warned by the rustling of clothes and hasty footsteps approaching him.

Indrani approached him and asked in a low voice,

"Name."

Mriga, "Silver Koehl."

Indrani, "Follow me."

All this is done in a few seconds. A meek-looking Mriga went behind Indrani and kept his posture parallel to a simple servant.

They enter the queen's private room and Indrani takes her to the end of the room. Within minutes, the door opened and Prince Mithilesh came there.

"Have you hidden the queen here?" he asked while grinning.

The queen's body has mysteriously disappeared since the last time she saw her in a sick bed. Although the palace had been officially taken over by Prince Mahendra, the two were a little restless because they did not find the corpse of the previous ruler.

They had been looking for him all day but to no avail. It was Prince Mithilesh's hypothesis that the queen's favorite confidant would have known about it and he had been watching the woman's movements all along. Since he knew everything there was to know about Chandragarh, he was too valuable to kill first.

"I don't know where the queen is. I just asked the waiter to start making preparations. This is the best room in the whole palace and Prince Mahendra will stay here. You are welcome to stay here and watch," he replied in a careless manner.

Prince Mithilesh narrowed his eyes and saw the brash woman blabbering about the instructions to the maid. Impossible! Both of them were closer than blood sisters. How could he remain unaffected by the turn of events, to prepare a welcome for the enemy. He directed his gaze into the room but nothing seemed extraordinary at the moment.

"Wait!" his voice made the two people in the room freeze.

Indrani fretting inside. Prince Sapsindhu has to sleep in this room tonight. But he couldn't let that look on his face.

"What's up now?" he asked in a calm voice.

The prince walked up to her and said,

Indrani swallowed the bile that rose in the back of her throat because of her words.

He gave her an indifferent look and said,

"Understand."

.

On the other side of the Royal Palace

Prince Mahendra just finished touring the palace. Very disappointing to him, it was too simple when compared to the one in Sapsindhu.

It seems that rumors about a minimalist queen are true. Too bad!

Never mind, he has enough time in the future. When merging the two countries, he will ensure that the palace is rebuilt according to the status that suits the owner.

"Greetings to the Prince. Everyone is ready for you in the royal hall," the attendant came and told him.

Prince Mahendra's lips curled up forming a satisfied smile. Everything went according to plan, in fact, much easier than he had imagined.

On his way to meet Chandragarh's current fallen ministers, Prince Mahendra meets an unexpected visitor.

"Greetings to the prince. I just came to look for you. May I have a few minutes now?" the man asked in a polite voice.

Prince Mahendra looked at the person standing in front of him with a complicated gaze. Despite his polite appearance on the surface, arrogance was clearly visible in the eyes.

If it wasn't for the person's usefulness all along...

"What's the problem?" ask prince.

.

Himprayag

Although Rudradev was always compared to his great ancestor, Abhaidev, in fact, he was very similar to Prithvi in his thinking and workings. He has a huge network of information spread across the region, with various sources of information that he can use. He has moles on both sides of the fence.

Rudradev strongly believed that it was not a powerful king, but rather a king-maker, operating from the shadows. The person who controls the flow of information controls how the event occurs.

He spent a lot of time deciding between Prince Mithilesh and Princess Ahilya. Had he chosen to go with the Prince as the ruler of Himprayag, the events unfolded at this time would have been very different!

.

The Himprayag - Saptsindhu border

Abhirath studied the princess secretly as she read the stamped documents sent by the queen. It has been changed and given clear words so that there is no room for ambiguity.

"Because you are here, Minister, you better take a look at it and tell me if it all reads well here," he spoke to Rudradev who was sitting on horseback, with a cloak covering most of his face.

With an ordinary grin on his face, he took the offered scroll from his hand and studied it closely.

"Read fair, as expected of Chandragarh. I'll bring this back safely. May all your journeys be safe. Remember that you don't have much time," with the last line aimed at Princess Ahilya, she spurred her horse on.

Abhirath reached out his hand towards Ahilya and asked her, "Can you give me the map that my Guruji left to you? I was trained to read it and assigned to take you to the intended destination with his help."

Ahilya and some of her generals who accompanied her, looked at the young man who did not look arrogant or afraid in front of them.

.

Two hours later

Abhirath admired the skill of his young teacher who had drawn such a detailed path to the secret valley. Since the army consisted of experienced travelers, even the treacherous hilly areas filled with snow could not hold them back from making rapid progress. They had traveled three hours in 2/3 of the travel time.

Not long after, an eagle came and went down on Abhirath's shoulder. He smiled and caressed the fierce and intelligent-looking bird. It was here to guide them to the interior.

"It's time to leave the horse here. The rest of the journey will be taken on foot" he told everyone.

.

An hour later

Shaurya received a greeting from Abhirath with a flat face. They know that now is not the time to remember. With a polite nod, Shaurya gestured for Ahilya to come forward and saluted the chieftain. In this place, the identity of the princess did not matter. What matters is sincerity and intention.

Fortunately, he did not make a fuss and imitated his movements to greet the old man sitting there.

"They have agreed to disguise our presence and take us to the capital with them. Fortunately, due to the winter, you can cover your face under the guise of a wool mask and the Hiprayag facial features will not be seen prominently. The procession carrying the goods will depart from here in the next hour. We will go and wait in the brothel until nightfall for the next part of our plan" he told Ahilya and others.

In light of the unexpected attack, Prithvi submitted a change in the initial proposal between the two countries.

Now, he ruthlessly hopes Chandragarh and Himprayag will take over Sapsindhu and divide the resources evenly. Today, most of the Sapsindhu army is deployed at the border against Chandragarh and the strongest royal bodyguards have gone with Prince Mahendra to the capital Chandragarh. The old king of Sapsindhu, King Amrendra, hid in the palace with weakened strength.

Tonight, Shaurya intends to invade the palace of Sapsindhu with Ahilya and her most formidable soldiers. If the king dies, the kingdom of Sapsindhu will fall into the hands of the invaders.

On the other hand, Prithvi and his team will try to eliminate the two princes as quickly as possible.

.

Royal Palace, Chandragarh

"Since the matter has been successfully dealt with, I am here to ask for the prince's mercy and fulfill his promise to marry my sister and make her your queen" Vidyut said with his standard smile.

The prince's eyebrows fused with displeasure as he looked at the man before him.

"You seem to be in a hurry! I haven't even held the coronation ceremony and here you play the wedding harp" Prince Mahendra said with annoyance tickling his words.

Vidyut was not bothered by the prince's hostile tone.

He continued to maintain his pleasant attitude and replied,

"It's not my brother or I who's in a hurry. In fact, he had remained unaware of this plan until now. I only think of your sister, who has just entered the second year of her pregnancy. I'm not sure how long we can hide this from everyone. Having two marriages together, is that our initial agreement, as soon as we take over Chandragarh?"

A clear grinding sound was heard from the Prince's teeth. He dropped all pretenses of modesty and held Vidyut's neck.

"How dare you desecrate my sister?" he roared and punched her in the face.

Vidyut waited for the prince to calm himself.

Ignoring the fierce throbbing on his cheek, he moved his jaw to check if it remained in place.

He had held this ace up until the last minute since he really wished the prince to renege on the deal between them.

Six months ago, when the prince of Saptsindhu was looking for a traitor in Chandragarh, he was approached by Vidyut. The man was ruthless, ambitious, and without a doubt. He is firmly convinced that Chandragarh will benefit if it returns to its patriarchal roots.

A country ruled by a king is a much better place!

He is part of a secret society in Chandragarh that believes the same thing and has been looking for an opportunity to reverse the current system, over the past few years.

Vidyut was the one who arranged the alliance between the prince and Sharada, who also adhered to the same belief system. He also convinced gay couple Prithvi to betray him.

In return, the prince of Sapsindhu had promised to marry his sister and make her the queen of the combined territories.

He also agreed to a marriage alliance between his unmarried sister Avantika and appointed Vidyut as chief minister for the entire Chandragarh region.
