Princess Fighter: Search for the Throne
Chapter 93: See Who's Coming

Himprayag

"Please tell me that this is a joke," Shaurya's tone of voice was scathing and filled with disbelief.

"Are you implying that throughout Himprayag, you cannot find a more qualified and suitable man than an insignificant outsider? Please excuse me because I find it hard to believe," his voice immediately scorned right now.

Since everything had reached this stage, he did not feel the need to pretend and give it to her. This is definitely not the time to be polite.

Ahilya paled when her sarcastic words hit her but she recovered quickly and replied,

"I don't need to explain my choice or the reasons behind it to you. All you need to know is that in order for the alliance between Chandragarh and Himprayag to be passed, you will be the deciding factor."

Shaurya froze hearing his words and whispered,

"You would jeopardize such an important covenant just to fulfill a will? No wonder your father thinks you're no match for the position."

Ahilya flinched as if slapped.

But he ignored the hurtful words and said indifferently,

"If I don't have a groom, the alliance won't mean anything in my father's eyes. Then why should I continue? Chandragarh was the one who came to me, wanting to forge a partnership, not the other way around."

Shaurya felt as if he had fallen into some kind of poorly written drama and she was the unfortunate female lead who was taken to the altar forcibly by that monstrous villain. There is something very wrong with this picture!

"No, I still disagree" he replied in a loud voice.

"You misunderstood. I didn't ask you, I told you," Ahilya said, her tone in tune.

.

East Zilla, Chandragarh

Finally it was the second quarter of the night. Ramanujam has been waiting for this moment. He had to enter the building above his hiding hole to get an answer. There is no other way.

All-day conversations were casual and uninformative. Since they had talked about an action to be taken in the next forty-eight hours, he knew that he did not have much time left.

He opened the trap door carefully and walked out of the basement. He had smeared his face with as much mud as he could, hoping he would not be seen in the flickering lights at this late hour. Secretly, he walked to the higher floor where Sharada had a meeting with his minions during the day.

He hoped to find some sort of information or a written plan that would give him clues about the actions of the Eastern zilla chief in the future and might as well act as evidence against him.

Not daring to turn on any lights, Ramanujam opened the window partly to let moonlight in so he could see into the room. Unfortunately, he was unable to find a single piece of paper in the entire room after a thorough search.

How is this possible?

There should be some kind of record of what they're doing. Frustrated, she combed her hair with her fingers and took a deep breath.

He's completely out of options.

Ramanujam walked back downstairs and crept towards the dormitory where everyone was sleeping. Until now he had not found any guards.

Perhaps the chieftain had placed them only on the outer lines, deeming the inside of the building safe. Or perhaps, he was walking into a trap.

Inevitably, he must be prepared with all possibilities. At least this time he came with preparations. He checked and realized that the dormitory door was tightly closed but not locked.

Ramanujam opened it centimeter by centimeter with his nails, praying that the door hinges would not protest and alerting the enemy. Inside it was pitch-black and it was in line with its current purpose.

After the door was opened about six inches wide, he tucked his foot into it to stop it from closing again. He quickly took out a black-colored scroll from his pocket and lit it up.

Holding his breath, he leaned over and tucked the loop as far as he could onto the floor in the room. Closing the door quietly again, he started counting in his head.

There is something very satisfying to avenge an enemy with the same coin. The Sharada people have done it quite often until Ramanujam is in captivity. Turn now.

Although five minutes had passed, he had not taken any risks and tiptoed into the room without a lamp in his hand. Ramanujam knew that he only had a few minutes to look around the room.

He won't be able to hold his breath more than that.

Passing by the people lying face down on their beds, he noticed whatever was visible under the pale moonlight. He counted about twenty people in the room at the moment. Sharada was not among them. But at the end of the room, a bed was placed in the middle and there were people sleeping around it.

“This must be the boy,” thought Ramanujam.

If the boy is important to Sharada, taking him away can help Ramanujam buy sometime.

With that thought, he walked towards the bed and peeked as hard as he could, under the dim light. But he could not see much due to the lack of light and the distance from where he stood.

Praying for the medicine to grip everyone, he jumped over one of the men guarding the bed and now slumped by the bedside.

"This..what.." Ramanujam dumbfounded.

.

Gurukul, Capital

"How did he get two votes?" the whole gang is sitting under a tree outside the Admin building, except for Yash who goes to visit his mother.

Except for Abhirath, everyone grumbled about the hot topic involving Vindhya and the favoritism shown to her. Even the usually cold Ganga seemed restless because of it.

.

Gurukull, Chandragarh

"The goal of having more contestants is to make sure that each feels challenged and the pool is large enough for the judges to choose the best from the best. Why should there now be three contestants instead of four? It reeks of favoritism" said Ganga in a dissatisfied manner.

His sense of justice was very strong, had been a fierce competitor all his life and hence, his reaction was the most severe.

Chiranjeev, who is usually the last person to speak under any circumstances, immediately spoke up and reacted, saying,

"I totally agree with him."

His attitude towards the beautiful senior did not go unnoticed by the other boys in the group and they lowered their heads now to hide their grin.

That'sthat's true!

Even the strongest fall face down when in love…

"It was the head of the Eastern zilla who chose Vindhya along with the head of the Western zilla," Yash spoke as he walked towards them.

He went to visit his mother right after the results and just came back from there.

"Why?" nirbhay asked with a puzzled expression.

The head of the Eastern zilla is a hermit and a mystery to most people, including Nirbhay, who is from that zilla.

Yash shrugged and replied, Yash,

"The book did not investigate the details but only told me that the letter from the head of the Eastern zilla listed Vindhya's name as the most deserving candidate."

"Let's stop thinking about it. It doesn't matter as long as Mriga has finished the round. Even if there is favoritism at play here, then it will be of no use. The final round is evaluated and decided by the Queen herself. So, let's focus on preparing for it" Abhirath said speaking to the entourage.

Yash extended his hand towards Mriga and said,

"This is a possible simulation that can be asked in the final round. My mother wrote it from her memory and sent it to you. He also asked me to tell you that he chose to choose someone else because the head of the Northern zilla has decided to support you."

Mriga's cheeks are a little colored. He took out a stack of papers from her without looking into her eyes. He had been prejudiced against Yash's mother and had not visited the woman despite Yash saying it repeatedly.

Listening to his words now, he felt a little embarrassed by his behavior. He has allowed his personal opinions to influence his professional behavior which is inappropriate for QIT candidates.

Clearing his throat, he looked at her,

Yash felt a real smile spread across his face after weeks or maybe months.

Two of the most important women in her life have taken small steps to acknowledge each other. For now, he did not want to think of anything beyond that.

Her night.

Bela had to completely suppress the urge to stop by her daughter's school once before tracing her journey back to Himprayag. But in the end, the spy won the mother's heart and she urged her horse to race across the capital on an almost empty road.

In order to save time, Bela decides to borrow a horse from Prithvi who will take him all the way to the border, from where he will take an ordinary carriage to reach Himprayag.

The official ministerial motorcade had departed during the day from the royal palace, but what they brought was only a copy of the initial agreement. The queen's decree is hidden under Bela's clothes now.

This is done as a precaution for two reasons. One, Prince Mithilesh is still here in Chandragarh and has been quiet for too long. Second, Bela did not believe in Rudradev and his motives and repeatedly warned Prithvi about him.

The path was almost empty at this late hour and the lights on the roadside were far and few as he reached the outskirts. As Bela approached the border between the capital and the Northern zilla, she could see a group of rascals beating up a man with sticks and knives.

Although he was pressed for time and did not want to interfere in other people's affairs, the possibility that piled up against that one man made him stop his horse right before he reached the gang.

"Let him go!" he said he was still riding a horse.

Peering at the unaccompanied beautiful woman, the gazes of the men immediately became depraved but one of them instantly put the brakes on the thought.

"Remember that persecuting someone carries the death penalty. A little pleasure is not worth risking our lives. We can go straight to the brothel after this," the man warned his men in a low voice.

"Women.this is none of your business. Just get out of here if you know what's good for you" he told Bela, raising his voice.

While snorting, he jumped off the horse in a smooth motion.

"Are you not taught manners? When making a request, you should have said please and asked nicely," he walked towards the person speaking up until now.

Before anyone knew it, the man started screaming.

No one recorded it but the man's hand had sprained and was now hanging limply on his wrist.

"This is your last chance to escape," he warned before crouching low and hitting the heart of the man next to the one who had just been hit.

Once he reached them, he realized that this was a 19-20 year old bastard with not much skill. It is better to hit a partner firmly than to take it all in and waste his time or energy.

And he's right!

Even before the man started moaning, the others scrambled to escape from there. With a slight bob of his head, he turned his attention from the hooligans to the man still on the ground.

From his side profile, he looked older than her and his forehead was bleeding, along with various wounds on his body.

"Are you okay? Do you need help getting up?" he asked her.

.

Suburbs of the capital, Chandragarh

The man raised his face and winked blood from his eyelashes.

Bela paled in surprise as she looked at the ghostly figure from her past. This face had haunted him for many years now.

"Repentious about your decision to save me now, Charulata?" the man grinned and slowly got up.

Bela immediately stood up straight and replied,

"Not at all. Why should I regret the unexpected gift I received tonight? I've waited almost two decades for this day to come. Welcome to hell, Suryakant," with which Bela brought her hand crashing into the man's neck.

The man's head rolled but before he could fall to the ground, Bela lifted him up and dragged him towards the horse saddle. Tying his waist with a tight rope, he wrapped the rope around the saddle and let his body hang on the side of the horse. He rode the horse nimbly and twisted it completely, as he made his way back to the capital.

His blood thirsted for revenge and at this moment, there was nothing else important except getting revenge from an unconscious man other than him.

Prithvi had just gone to bed a few minutes ago when there was a knock on his door. Suddenly wary, he walked cautiously towards the entrance of his house. Not many people knew that he lived here and from all that, he could not think of anyone who would visit him.

He stuck his ear to the door but could not hear much. Strung towards the window on his left side, he opened it and slipped out of it to go around the house and see the 'unexpected guest' at this hour.

His head was busy thinking of various possibilities but he froze when he saw the tableau at his doorstep.

Was Charulata being treated with an unconscious man by his side?

What the hell is he doing here?

He did not hide the sound of his footsteps anymore and ran to reach it. Bela turned around when she heard someone approaching from behind.

When she looked at Prithvi with a confused expression on her face, a dazzling smile fell on her lips.

"Look, I found a treasure. It was too much trouble to take him all the way to the Northern zilla. Can I use your place to play with her tonight? Don't worry, I won't bother you and will leave early in the morning from here to go to Himprayag. I promise to drive relentlessly to make up for lost time tonight," Prithvi has never seen his mentor's side like this.

He was timid and persuasive. He did not know who that person was but his future did not look good, seeing the crazy light in Charulata didi's eyes.

He did not say anything and leaned over to lift the man on his shoulders. Snorting slightly under the burden, he asked her to follow him.

Wandering around the backyard, he opened a nearly invisible door embedded in the wall and asked Bela to enter. He followed her and dumped the man on the rough floor as soon as they were inside.

Bela paid attention to the details of the room with a joy that could hardly be suppressed. There were all sorts of sharp blades, weapons, whips, and others stored there.

Prithvi sees her jumping like a little girl in a candy store as she moves from one corner of the room to the other. This was his private room meant for pleasure and torment. She has spent many unforgettable nights here with her now deceased lover.

Prithvi recalls the letter he received a few days ago from his link telling him that his 'lover is stabbing in the back' has bitten his tongue and committed suicide to avoid giving more info about his friends and their plans.

The unconscious man's groans pulled Prithvi out of his mind.

As the man regained his senses, Bela spoke to Prithvi in an excited tone,

"Oh, I almost forgot to do the introductions. Prithvi, meet Suryakant, the man responsible for my imminent death and expulsion from Suraksha Cakra. He was the one who ran away that night."

Prithvi, who was almost never surprised, felt his mind explode at this moment. He knows what night he's talking about. His mind began to replay the bloody scene very clearly as if it had happened recently.

"Where did you find him?" he did not realize that his voice was barely above the whisper.

Suryakant had sat down now and was watching his surroundings with a small smile on his lips.

Bela looked back and laughed,

"Do you believe me if I tell you that she's like a pack wrapped cheerfully waiting for me by the side of the road? Since the gift was for me, I brought it back. Even if it comes a few decades late, I won't be petty and reject it."

Suryakant looked at the crazy woman in front of him and then the pale thin man next to him.

"Listen, it's all in the past. I'm no longer the man I used to be. Can't you see my condition now? I can't even defend myself against this useless bastard tonight. On the other hand, you see like that you have lived a good life. Is this your boyfriend, husband? By the way.I'm really sorry about that time. It's not a personal matter. I'm doing my job, just like you," he said, shrugging. .

Although he spoke politely, his arrogance was evident from the hateful grin on his face.

It was as if he was rubbing the fact on his face that he had been defeated by it.

Charulata had been a quick spy at the time with legendary stories spreading about his craft.

Suryakant also heard his name in the circle. If he is a legend in Chandragarh, he is his companion in Sapsindhu. Sent on an undercover mission here, he was the youngest member on his team but took the lead from the front.
