The Aralyne Trap

The night had come, Brian again contacted Zean to ask permission the umpteenth time. Zean kept advising Brian to be careful. He also told Brian about his bad feelings. But Brian continues to convince, he will take care of himself and will be careful if indeed Aralyne will do something.

Brian had arrived at Aralyne's apartment, he was very hesitant to go there. He kept his body in the car. Her phone rang, Aralyne called.

"Hello.." replied Brian.

"You didn't break your promise, did you, I was waiting for you" Aralyne said.

"I'm in the parking lot, coming in soon. Wait a minute." replied Brian.

"OK.." replied Aralyne, closing her phone.

Brian thought back to what his girlfriend said this afternoon on the phone.

"I have a bad feeling about this Bri, I'm afraid that woman is doing something like you. He keeps forcing you to eat alone in his apartment." Zean said.

"Look baby, he just wanted me to taste his homemade food. I knew the woman well when I was in England" Brian replied.

"People can change, you know that. I feel like he likes you so much, Bri, I'm afraid that woman will do something out of control."

"Listen baby, I'm not a kid. I'm a grown man, I'd turn him down if I asked for more. I sent you the address of the apartment. If you're not sure, you can come and wait for me." Brian said.

"I don't want to, how can I come and wait for my lover to have dinner with another woman. That's so annoying." Zean replied upsetly.

"We've discussed this, baby, you trust me. You gave me permission, if I cancel now then I will disappoint my friend for the second time. I've been asking you since yesterday, but you believe me. But why should we argue about this again Zee."

"Well baby, see you later." replied Brian as he hung up his phone.

Brian took a deep breath, he got out of his car towards the apartment building. He eventually finds Aralyne's apartment, hesitatingly knocking on her door.

Aralyn opened the door of her apartment, the woman was very beautiful, very different when she was in the hospital. He smiled happily when he saw Brian there.

"Welcome, doctor, please come in." pinta Aralyne.

Brian smiled and walked into the apartment. "You sure it's okay did I get in here?"

"Of course, you sit down. Think of it as your own home, just relax Brian. I'll prepare the dinner." replied Aralyne.

"Thank you." Brian replied as he sat down on the sofa.

"It looks like Aralyne couldn't have done what Zean feared. That woman is still my good friend." thought Brian.

A few minutes later, Aralyne came back to see him.

"Sorry you waited so long, I'm so glad you kept your promise so I prepared a very special meal for you. It reminds us of our friendship in England, it's been a long time since we've been like this Brian." Aralyne said.

"You're right, Aralyne, how can you stay here alone? I remember in college you said your parents lived in Jakarta" Brian replied.

"You still remember them, they live in Jakarta but I prefer to live alone. All right, doctor, it's time we eat, then we can tell you more." Aralyne.

Brian followed Aralyne to the dinner table. He was surprised to see that the table was so full of different menus.

"It's too much for both of us, you're really good at cooking" Brian said.

"I always cook alone in England, you always eat fast food." - Aralyne.

Brian laughed as he recalled his college days.

"Take a taste, I hope you like it." said Aralyne.

Brian nodded, both of them eating together. All Aralyne cuisine is delicious. And there was nothing suspicious, because Aralyne also ate the food on the table.

"The soup you made is so good Aralyne, if you don't mind, may I ask for it again?" ask Brian.

Aralyne was very happy to hear that. "Of course, I'll take it." she replied, taking the bowl on the table to the kitchen.

Aralyne went back to the dinner table and gave him the soup. "I'm glad you ate a lot of Brian, this is your soup."

But after that, Brian did not touch the soup at all, he just pretended to take and stir the stirring. The two finished dinner.

When Brian raised his glass, Aralyne's eyes flashed as if he was waiting for that moment. That was how Brian felt as he looked at the woman's face.

"Oh my God, don't be like this Aralyne. If you really did, then I wouldn't be friends with you anymore" Brian thought.

"Why don't you drink Brian" said Aralyne arrived.

"Ah, I'm sorry I thought of something." replied Brian.

"You must be thinking about your girlfriend, did you tell her about dinner tonight?" ask Aralyne.

Brian nodded. "Why don't you drink too?" ask Brian.

"Oh, I forgot." replied Aralyne, raising her glass and drinking it.

Brian smiled, he also raised his glass and drank the water.

"I can't linger here Aralyne, I've kept my promise to you but I'm afraid there will be rumors that hurt you" Brian said.

"Wait for Brian, we should tell each other. We haven't been like this in a long time." Aralyne.

The woman continued to look at Brian expectantly.

"All right, we'll talk for a second" Brian said.

"Let's wait in the lounge, I'll clear the dining table" Aralyne said.

"I'll help you."

"No need for Brian, you're a guest here." replied Aralyne.

The woman stood up and staggered.

"You okay?" ask Brian.

"I'm fine, my head got a little dizzy" replied Aralyne.

Brian hopes everything is wrong. When the woman began to clean her desk, she staggered again but this time Aralyne fell unconscious. Brian immediately grabbed her body and took her to the sofa.

Brian checked on Aralyne, and he found out that the woman had fainted from sedatives. His premonition of the white water was correct, and he knew that Zean's premonition was always right.

The Flash Back On.

Brian enjoyed dinner with Aralyne, but the woman kept telling him to drink.

"I don't usually eat with Aralyne" Brian said.

"You can choke on Brian, at least you drink a little bit." Aralyne said.

That was when Brian's premonition as a doctor appeared, the woman drank her water casually. But Brian knew, in his glass something was wrong.

"The soup you made is so good Aralyne, if you don't mind, may I ask for it again?" brian asked, he was looking for an excuse to trade his glass.

Aralyne was very happy to hear that. "Of course, I'll take it." she replied, taking the bowl on the table to the kitchen.

That's when Brian had the opportunity to trade his glass for Aralyne's. The woman went back to the table and gave her soup. After they finished the dinner, Brian's supposed false premonition was true. The drink in front of him had already been mixed with tranquilizers. The woman wanted to trap him.

After Brian was sure, the woman was fine. He just left the apartment. His shock and disappointment were mixed, he did not expect the friend he knew so well would do such a dirty thing.
