33. Fish Trap

Ana sleeps as restlessly as Maya. It makes them feel lethargic in the morning.

There was a knock on the door.

"Are you awake?"

That's Ammo's voice.

"Yes!" answer Ana.

She lazily got off the bed and stepped into the door.

In the middle of the room, on the floor, there was a pond that looked dark blue. I don't know how deep this pool is. Ana touches the pool water and tastes the taste.

Ana turned to Ammo, "Did this pool directly access the sea?"

"Yes. From here you can catch fish" replied Ammo.

"You want me to dive down there to find fish?" ask Ana not to believe it.

"Isn't there a more complicated way?" thought annoyed.

Ammo raised the lever next to her. Then down the chain with a hook that hooks the box and takes it up. The water falls into the pool. There are a lot of fish and also octopus and lobster floundering in it.

Ana's face was beaming. A lot of catch. It's enough until night. Ana could not wait for the iron box to be lowered to the floor.

"When did you set up the trap?" ask Ana.

"Yesterday afternoon."

Ammo carried the bucket with the cover, then opened the lid of the iron box. All the fish inside, pushed out and fluttered and jumped on the wet floor.

Ammo deftly put the catch in the bucket.

"The situation is not enough. You take another bucket there!" point Ammo to one place.

Ana saw him and immediately ran. He returned impatiently. It's always nice to collect fresh fish in a bucket. Both were satisfied to see the catch that morning.

"Look at the way I set this fish trap" said Ammo. Ana nodded.

Ammo put up another iron box cover. But there was a top that opened. And it's wide enough for a fish to fit almost the size of an adult's arm.

Ammo taught me how to get that fish trap box back into the sea. Ana pressed the lever down. Chain of hooks, lift the box back towards the pool.

Then Ana was asked to lower another lever. The iron box slowly sank and disappeared in the water. For a while, the sound of the machine was still heard. Then stop altogether.

"You have to remember all this and be able to do it yourself" Ammo said.

Ana nodded. "okay."

Ammo lifted one bucket. Ana took the other bucket. He followed Ammo. They're out of the room. Ammo pressed a button. Slowly the pool was covered in stone and the room darkened.

Ana put her head back into the room, to see. The top that was open and bright, was also closed. Ana finally understood. In this way, no one knows that under the rock pile there is a pond that goes straight to the sea. The surface of the pool that is closed will also be a difficult for intruders to be able to enter the villa on it. And surely, the one who designed this space must have also created another barrier under the sea.

Ammo pressed another button. The door of the room was then closed. And Ammo still locked it.

The two walked back to the stairs. But something was troubling Ana.

"Why didn't you give me the submarine dock room? What if someone comes in here by sea?"

"Do you think I'm that stupid?" Ammo asked back.

Ana shakes. Ammo must have prepared everything.

Both took the elevator and went back up.
