141. The Crime Key Witness

After seeing Ana finish watching the video and save the usb, Ivan whispered something to his bodyguard. His guard nodded and picked up the bag that was in the desk drawer.

"If you do have the safest place, it's better to go back there. I can take care of myself here. Just take her with you!" show Ana to Nathalie.

"You won't regret coming" Ivan told Nathalie.

"No!" reject Nathalie.

"Different from Ana, you can't defend yourself if you suddenly attack them!" Ivan reminded.

"So, you guys think I'm a burden?" nathalie asked with disappointed eyes.

"Nobody considers you a burden. According to uncle, your father's offer is the best right now. Rescuing one family member after another who can be saved," explained Alexei.

Nathalie was still pouting with a hostile face at Ana. Ana melengos doesn't care.

The bodyguards handed Ivan an old brown box. There are special carvings all over the surface. "Come here!" Ivan called Nathalie.

The girl approached. Ana looked at the box in Ivan's hand. Nathalie was already at the end of their father's bed.

Ivan pressed the signs on each side of the box. Ana's eyes widened and took her father's movements seriously."The box used a code that only Ivan knew. Then a mechanical click sounded. Top of the box, loosening. The key is open.

"What precious stuff does he keep so carefully?" thought Ana.

"What the hell is that?" ask Nathalie impatiently.

Ivan raised his head and smiled at the girl. Then his eyes looked back at the box in front of him. His hand took something from inside.

"Here!" Ivan grabbed Nathalie's hand which was standing nearby. The bodyguard was watching closely, what his master was doing.

Ivan slipped a carved gold ring, with emerald eyes on Nathalie's delicate finger.

"It's so pretty!" sincere praise. Nathalie looks very happy. He moved his hand away, to judge. "Thank you, dad." He hugged Ivan and kissed his cheek without awkwardness.

Ana is surprised to see Nathalie's reaction which suddenly turns familiar. "Should he give her a gift first, and then the jutek is gone?" thought Ana while smiling amusedly.

"Why are you smiling?" ask Alexei.

"none. Than grimacing!" elak Ana's.

A clinic attendant entered the room. "Miss Nathalie, your room is ready" he said.

"alright. I'll go to my room first. Come back here again." Nathalie stepped to the door.

"Bye Uncle Alexei." Her lamb.

"Bye, Nathalie." Ana returned her greeting. But Nathalie turned her face around as she pelt her tongue, mocking Ana.

Ivan chuckles amusedly. "I remember, he was always so with you as a kid" Ivan explained.

"really? Meaning unconsciously, the habit arises by itself. I think, the treatment Dr. Sarah's been on all this time, there's been a result." Ana is quite satisfied with Doctor Sarah's work.

"That's great news!" alexei timpal. "Slowly, all his memories will return." Alexei optimistic.

"If only I knew what key word was locking his memory. That might be easier. Like what happened to Sanders," said Ana.

"What about your memory?" ask Ivan.

"Mostly, and most importantly, I remember. Destiny brought us together. And Dad's story, return the missing pieces of the puzzle."

"What I want to remember most is about my last assignment. What a terrible thing I did, until they decided to erase my memory by giving me a new memory." Ana's eyes closed tightly, until both of her eyebrows furrowed and linked.

"Don't be too forced. We will also know what really happened!" Alexei forbade Ana from thinking too much about it.

"According to Dad, you didn't do anything bad, but witnessed something that shouldn't have happened. You must be a key witness to the crimes of influential people!" suspect Ivan.

Alexei and Ana flinched. "Why didn't I think I'd get there?" Alexei.

"Adduhhh ...." Ana held onto her head which suddenly hurt.

"You why? Should I call a doctor?" ask Alexei worriedly.

Ana shakes. The girl tried to clear her mind, so that the pain would lessen. It's not very easy.

"I think .. there was from Dad's words that triggered my memory. It makes my head hurt" Ana lamented.

"What!" exclaim both.

Alexei looked at Ivan. "Try to repeat what you said before" Alexei asked.

"Which words? I said a lot of words today. Today is the first day I talk the most!" Ivan.

Alexei tried to remember. "I think you said he was a key witness to the crimes of influential people!" reset Alexei.

"Hah .. hah ... contuhh ...." Ana groans. His head hurt a lot to hear Alexei's words.

"You hurt her!" ivan snarled at Alexei.

"I just want him to remember it quickly. So we can start giving. counterattacks!" alexei said annoyed.

"Forget that grudge, if the truth will only hurt us!" said Ivan ketus.

"No! I have to remember. And avenge the deaths of those closest to me!" said Ana still grimacing.

Ivan let out a long breath with an unhappy expression. But if his daughter wanted to be like that, he could only support her.

"Alexei, put this ring on Ana's finger!" his orders.

Ana and Alexei saw that there was one carved gold ring that was almost the same as Natalie's. The ring was held by Ivan with a strong finger pressure. He looks very careful with that thing.

Alexei took the ring in Ivan's hand. Watching for a moment. There is a crown emblem with the initials K engraved on a dark red gem. If it's not noticed, no one will know.

""Pair it to his finger!" urged Ivan.

"OK .. okay. I don't want this ring either!" katilah.

Alexei put the ring on Ana's left finger. Looks not fit. "It's too loose for her!" alexei Cela.

"Place it on his right thumb!" advice Ivan.

Alexei. Now the ring is a little bit more fitting. A little saggy, but it will not make it loose and just disappear.

Ana watched the details of her ring carefully. "What's this emblem?" asked Ana while raising her hand up. Just like that Nathalie was staring satisfied at her ring from afar.

But Ana's smile suddenly vanished when she saw Ivan's bodyguard kneeling on the floor. "I am willing to serve and follow the Clan Leader to the end!" said it. "Life a new leader!" added again.

"What?" Ana looked at her father in surprise. Obviously he was asking for an explanation.

"Make him stand up first" Ivan nodded.

"Stand!" ana's orders.

"Is the Leader willing to accept my devotion?" tanyakanya. He was still reluctant to stand up, before there was any certainty.

"Alright .. alright. You have a duty to keep my father!" said Ana lost her mind.

"Thank you, Leader." The bodyguard then stood up from his respectful attitude.

Alexei smiled looking at Ana who snorted in annoyance.

"Now, you explain to me the meaning of this ring. And what clan does he mean!" sue Ana.
