NYI TWINS TRIBUTE

NYI TWINS TRIBUTE
Escape Midnight

What happened at half-hour two nights ago was still clearly remembered in Riani's mind. In his heart he regretted his actions a little, but he also felt heartache for the treatment of his family.

The boarding room door opened and Nindira went inside carrying a plastic package containing breakfast that she had just bought at a subscription rice stall.

"Breakfast first, Ri," said Nindira while taking plates, spoons and glasses that each amounted to two.

"Thank you, Ra." Riani smiled. "You also want to meet me."

"Together, you are rich with who you are, Ra."

Riani smiled. "I don't feel good about you."

"Just relax again, I understand your difficulties."

Since last night the two did not continue to sleep and rest but talked. Riani cried about the new incident she had experienced while Nindira carefully listened to it.

Riani feels very lucky to know Nindira, if only she had listened to her words, maybe she would not regret everything that happened now.

"Ra," called Riani, the look on her face looked at Nindira seriously. "Sorry."

While Nindira scrunched her forehead. "Sorry why?"

"I'm sorry because .. I didn't hear your talk at that time."

"Oh, that." Nindira smiled faintly. "Look easy, Ri. Especially if it's also the power you have to deh."

"Maybe."

The two continued to eat breakfast without talking about anything else.

Riani's clothes are still in the suitcase, the plan is Riani will look for a boarding place later in the afternoon that does not belong to his own mother or Mr. Abdul.

With a ride on Nindira's motorcycle, Riani left for work today.

The morning sun had already shown the prowess of its rays making the glare of the eye that looked. Riani's eyes looked around, watching the people who were also driving or walking.

Fifteen minutes drive, Nindira's motorbike reaches the deoan courtyard of the restaurant.

"Thank you, Ra." Riani took off her helmet. "I'm sorry, I'm taking care of you."

"It's easy, I can help you."

Riani nodded happily.

"Later in the afternoon I'll pick you up again." Nindira smiles. "Oh, yes, you also do not forget to look for room info so that later in the afternoon I anterin you there. Actually if you want to stay in the same room I'm also not papa loh, Ri, even I seneng so there is a theme."

"Ehm, but I'm not good with you, Ra. Yes, later I look for info boarding deh in social media maybe there." Riani smiled. "You be careful."

Nindira nodded happily. "Surely dong, if that's what I'm leaving for, Ri."

Nindira's hand-drawn gesture ended their conversation this morning. From where he stood, Riani returned a wave of Nindira's hand, accompanying the woman's departure.

"Are you okay, Ri?"

The second step of Riani's legs approached towards Gendhis who was sitting at the front of the restaurant waiting for their superior to come.

"Why indeed?" Instead of answering the question, Riani asked again.

"Don't you get sick yesterday?"

Instantly Riani remembered the strange incident that happened to her yesterday. "Oh, yes, there's something I want to ask you too, Ndhis."

"Ask what?"

Gendhis nodded his head steadily. "Yes, right, the one you shoot is really just kept on cueing. You also ask permission to go home first. You yesterday why the hell, Ri, sick?"

"I don't know either, Ndhis."

"Well, why don't you know?" Gendhis scrunched his forehead. "You who walk, your own life doesn't know."

"Well, Ndhis, I'm confused too. So I actually came back here yesterday?"

Genphis nodded steadily. "Yes, if you don't believe me, ask to see the CCTV footage to your boss. Obviously you're back here, you're also home ushered in who your boyfriend is-"

"Wood," cut Riani. "But now he's an ex."

"Huh? Why did you break up, Ri?"

"It turns out he's not as good as I imagined, Ndhis." Riani was silent for a moment. "Are I really back here yesterday?"

"Geez, Ri, how many times do I have to tell you?!" Gendhis was getting annoyed, his tone of voice started to rise a little. "If you don't believe you talk to your boss to see the CCTV footage. You didn't want to, Ri?"

Riani shook her head. "That's it, Ndhis. I don't want at all, which I want to see me again in the grave of my father I keep finding ...." Riani fell silent, she stopped her sentence.

Riani's eyes stared at Gendhis who was listening carefully to him tell a story. When viewed from the water on his face, Gendhis was very curious and waited for Riani to continue his words.

A few seconds passed, Riani still remained silent and did not continue her stalled sentence.

"What do you know, Ri?" asked Genphis curiously.

"Let's go in, work, work, work."

A stroke of luck sided with Riani. Before he opened his mouth to answer Gendhis's words, his superior first came to open the door of the restaurant and told all his workers to do the work today.

As in previous days, Riani and several other workers started the day by cleaning up the restaurant before preparing groceries and waiting for customers to arrive.

Today there are not many things happening, everything is under control and running normally. Riani replied to the messages of the customers who ordered online, prepared their order and delivered the order to the destination.

Everything went well without any one obstacle until the sun moved to the west end and Riani's working hours were replaced by another food deliveryman who would replace her duties at night.

As Nindira said this morning, as Riani walked out of the restaurant her eyes immediately turned towards the red matic motorcycle with a woman that Riani knew very well was sitting on it.

The second step of Riani's legs approached towards Nindira who might have been waiting for her since earlier. "Old time, Ra?' ask Riani. "Sorry, yeah."

"Not so long ago, only about five minutes." Nindira smiled at the arrival of the person she was waiting for. "Have you found the hostel?"

Riani shook her head. "Not yet, if we go back to the boarding house how were you?"

"May," answered Nindira while nodding her head.

"Last noon I was busy so I did not take a social media check to see the boarding info."

The motorcycle driven by Nindira drove slowly towards the boarding place.

***

In front of Riani and Nindira now there is a plate of fries complete with chili sauce and ketchup and two bowls of meatballs that they have previously spent.

Despite being together and in a fairly close distance, there was no conversation between the two of them. Both are busy with their smartphones.

There was no sound other than the sound of their teeth chewing on fries.

Riani was busy looking at the content of her social media, trying to find out an information about a boarding house with a distance not so far from the restaurant where she worked.

"Where, Ri? Have you met yet?"
