The atmosphere of the cemetery was covered with sobs from mourners who delivered to the final resting place. The sun no longer shows itself, hiding behind a black cloud that seemed to dissolve in watching the funeral procession from beginning to end.
The grim and wounded faces now bowed on the red mounds of earth sprinkled with various kinds of flowers. A name is listed there, signifying the owner who is now lying lifeless again. Leddy Andriani Malik bint Malik Hendra.
“Led....,” muttered a girl sitting on the ground, leaving the white shirt she was wearing dirty because the soil was wet from the rain that started to fall slowly. “Leddy,” reset the girl again.
The crying broke again as the woman laid her head on the mound of earth. He sobbed there, his hands reaching for the tombstone and crying until his eyes turned red helplessly on his chest.
“Sorry me, Led. M-sorry me, hiks..hiks.”.
Farhan, who had been silent, approached the girl. Pull gently her body and bring her into the embrace. “Already, Tha. Don't be like this, let Leddy calm down there.”
Metha. “Gue doesn't want to be left, Han. I want to join Leddy.”
“tha.” Farhan tightened the embrace, then passed a cry that was no less painful.
Everyone watched the scene with teary eyes. Other than Metha, there was actually one heart that was no less wounded. He's Mahe, the first man to make Leddy give his heart to look after. Mahe only looked from behind the banyan tree not far from where Leddy was buried. The man did not dare to approach,
he does not want to make things worse.
“Tha, it's raining soon, let's just go home, son. Tomorrow we come back again,” said his mother approached.
Metha let go of Farhan's embrace, the girl getting closer and hugging Leddy's tombstone tightly. “Metha doesn't want to go home, Mom. Metha wants to be here nemenin Leddy, later she is lonely.” Metha shook her head like a child.
Shortly after that it rained, soaking the mourners who were still faithful there. Metha smiled, lifted her head and allowed the rain to touch that face.
“Leddy likes rain, Mom. At the moment he must be very happy because I put him here.”
Farhan looked at Metha iba, the girl was devastated by her best friend. The friendship between the two is more than that of a friend. “Tha, Leddy also do not like to play rain, later you can get sick, Tha,” said Farhan advising.
“Lo come home, Han. Take my mother home, let me here.” Metha was still adamant, she refused to move. Even his head was again placed on the mound and occasionally rubbed his tombstone.
The mourners who had been standing, chose to leave the place. Not because of the rain, but they did not have the heart to see Metha getting worse. Metha's mother left the funeral and let her daughter be here.
After the death of the mourner and his mother, Metha returned to tears. This time he was crying very hard. Metha doesn't care if people hear her scream or not. The rain is getting heavier, making the atmosphere even more tense.
Farhan was still loyal there, accompanying Metha and also dissolving in grief. The man regretted all his past deeds, when Doctor Leddy was alive not even once he supported the girl. Farhan doesn't seem to care about his cousin. Sometimes Metha reminds her to empathize a little with Leddy. However, Farhan's heart did not care at all, he was more silent and often avoided when he met him. This made Leddy angry with Farhan until the end of his life.
“I'm sorry, Leddy. All this time I never cared about you, didn't know what you were feeling and didn't understand at all about your situation at the time. I know it's too late, I hope you can hear the moans of my heart that regret everything. May you calm down there with God and your mother, greetings to Auntie, yes!” Farhan shed tears as he stared at Leddy's tombstone. The man lost his identity when he cried.
While Metha unceasingly rubbed and peeked at the tombstone. His eyes looked puffy from crying, his face began to pale and occasionally shivered from the cold. When the crying began to subside, then someone approached them. Metha raised her head slowly, trying to look at the face of the man who was now resting before her. Ten minutes for Metha to recognize the man's face, when the conscious that comes is Mahe, Metha's anger and emotions re-peaked to the crown.
The girl looked furious, involuntarily clenched her hands tightly in anger. Metha stood up followed by Farhan, and Mahe turned to them with a long look.
“Please! I beg you, Tha,” he said stammered as he closed his hands so that Metha would allow herself to be at the funeral even if only briefly.
Metha who was already angry, did not care about the plea from Mahe. He was so sick of seeing the drama of the man who seemed to be a victim in this story.Padahat, Doctor Leddy's friend had once reminded if he dared to hurt Leddy, then he would deal with him.
Metha stepped towards Mahe, her eyes emitting deep hatred and could no longer be conditioned. Losing a friend who was like his own brother made Metha unable to think clearly.
“Go from here!” said cold.
Farhan could only remain silent without daring to approach Metha, because the man knew his best friend had taken the right step. One side Farhan looked pityfully at Mahe, but on the other he was very disappointed with what the man had done. Farhan is not a person who is easily ignited emotions if it does not concern his family.
“I beg, Tha. This time alone, I promise I will not come here again if you do not allow,” he said while struggling with tears that continue to flow.
Metha did not care, she roughly pulled Mahe's collar and dragged the man out of the cemetery. Mahe resigned, she deserved to be treated like that, if only she did not meet Viona and chose to leave Leddy for the girl, maybe Metha would not be this angry. Farhan who saw that followed him, worried
Metha is absurd and will harm itself.
“Go from here!” his orders violently hit Mahe's body until the man fell into the street.
Mahe got up and left the place, before she had a glance at Metha who was still staring at him sharply, then Mahe's eyes turned to Farhan, hoping that his best friend would forgive all the mistakes he made. However, Farhan threw away his face and did not want to look at Mahe even though his heart said otherwise.
Of course, every human being has made a mistake. Whether intentional or not, but humans deserve a second chance to correct their past mistakes. Regrets always come last, when things are unexpected and we never think about real in plain sight.
