Mr. Stephen Hands Down, An Introduction to Nina

With her emotions still in the crown, Mia headed for the main house. He'll complain of Alex's betrayal to Papa Stephen.

 

Ever since Alex took over as CEO of Midas Corp, Mr. Stephen Midas has been a rare visitor to his office. He more through his old age calmly with his wife at home, only occasionally to the office if there is a general meeting of shareholders or things that are very important.

 

Mia walked into the main house with emotions that were already somewhat calm. Along the way from the detention house to the mansion, he had already compiled the words he would say to Papa Stephen.

 

Papa Stephen walked straight into the living room accompanied by his wife. Mia stood up when she saw the two old men coming, bowing her body slightly to pay their respects.

 

Papa Stephen and Mama Briggite sat on the sofa in front of Mia with cold eyes. Mia's tongue felt faint, the words that had been arranged in her brain instantly disappeared.

 

“Pa, Ma...” Sapa Mia awkward.

 

Papa Stephen remained silent, he noticed the motion of his son-in-law.

 

“Alex.. Alex betrayed our marriage.” Said Mia while looking down. His hands squeezed each other's fingers to cover his nervousness. “She has a save.” Connect again.

 

Mama Brigitte glanced at her husband. Papa Stephen glanced at his wife's face, then sighed.

 

“Papa will talk to Alex.” He said slowly, after which he immediately stood up, stepped out of the living room. His footsteps were followed by his wife.

 

Mia was back. Is this just the reaction of her in-laws? Mia thought that Papa Stephen or at least Mama Brigitte would find her with questions and then dodged and defended her son. But apparently, they just said they would ask Alex.

 

Mia spread her legs limply. Is the house over? Alex, the husband who already had a small part of his heart, escaped from his arms. He must lose to the woman he never thought would take Alex from his side. Where should he be now, is it better to go home to his father and mother?

 

Mia closed her eyes, her head hurt thinking about all the problems in her life.  Ever since he caught Alex wet ‘happy’ at their home, trouble has always approached their family, from Sharon's departure to Alex's imprisonment.

 

Maybe I should go cheer myself up with my friends, Mia murmured. With the loss of his phone, several messages from his social friends were seen on the main screen of his phone. Some of them questioned Mia's news and others took her on a cruise. They're gonna go and have fun on that yacht.

 

Mia went home with Mr. Salim. He hurried to pack up, getting ready to sail.

Two days later, Mr. Stephen came to his son in the detention house. Steadily, he walked down the rutan corridor to the waiting room he could use to meet Alex.

 

Click! Mr. Stephen who was sitting on the sofa turned towards the entrance when he heard the sound of the door opening. His son walked into the room. Alex looked fresh and was still strong.

 

Without speaking anything, Alex sat down in front of his papa, staring at the man with his eagle eyes. Mr. Stephen also looked at Alex with his sharp eyes, undaunted by Alex's eagle eyes.

“Papa has spoken to Lawyer Hans,” said Mr. Stephen calmly, Lawyer Hans in question is his personal lawyer so far, “He said, you are involved in a serious case. The state is monitoring the case, we can't mess around with threats and money as usual. You will be imprisoned for a long time, there is little chance that you can escape.” He looked back at Alex's eyes.

 

Alex flinched at the words of Mr. Stephen. Both of his elbows rested on his knees, his eyes fixedly staring at his father sharply.

 

“You are too brave, but lacking calculation,“ Mr. Stephen sighed, “There are only two options. Papa must again intervene holding Midas, or forced Papa to call Daffin home.” Connect again.

 

“Daffin not ready!” Cut Alex out before Mr. Stephen finishes speaking.

 

“There is no other choice! Or do you want to see Papa back down?” Answer Mr. Stephen quickly. “Midas has faltered. There's too much to take out because of your case. Especially now William is also exposed to the same case. Everything points to you.” Follow Mr. Stephen again while stroking his chin.

 

Alex fell silent, he did not respond to his papa's words.

 

“Yesterday Mia to home.” Continue Mr. Stephen again, making Alex glance at him. “Who is that woman?”

 

 

“Why should he?” Ask Mr. Stephen again, trying to pry at his son.

 

“Daffin is too stupid. She's like her mother. We've lost Sharon. I doubt those two kids can control Midas, especially if it's just Daffin. Nina is very smart and alert, her son will have intelligence like his mother. I wouldn't be too stupid to have another child from Mia.” Alex replied casually while leaning his back on his sofa.

 

Geck! Geck! Mr. Stephen and Alex turned their heads as the door of the room they were in was knocked by someone.

 

Click! Nina entered the room. His steps came to a halt when he saw an elderly man in the room, sitting opposite Alex. Nina's eyes wondered, looking towards Alex.

 

Alex smiled, he immediately patted the sofa next to him.

“Long life!” He muttered with a smile, then waved at his papa.

 

“Pa, this is Nina. Nin, this is the venerable Mr. Stephen Midas.” He said while continuing to smile.

 

Nina almost choked, her eyes looking at Mr. Stephen. Working at Midas Corp for a long time, Nina had never met Mr. Stephen, the Commissioner of Midas Corp. So here it is, the father killer, he murmured inwardly. Trying to calm her heartbeat, Nina walked up to Mr. Stephen who was sitting while looking probing at him.

 

“Good day, Sir. Introduce, I'm Nina.” He said politely while slightly bowing his body.

 

Mr. Stephen nodded without uttering any words. Furthermore, he only noticed Alex's interaction with Nina.

 

Alex patted the couch next to him. Nina immediately sat there holding some office documents that she brought.

 

Soon Nina started her work. One by one the documents were given to Alex as he told her the chronology. Alex and Nina are engrossed in arguing over the solution to be taken on a case-by-case basis, Alex decides and Nina refutes while providing alternative decisions. After the decision was considered the best, Alex immediately signed his consent. Thus continuously until all the documents in Nina's lap were exhausted.

 

Mr. Stephen kept a close eye on Alex and Nina during their discussions. Admittedly, Nina can keep up with Alex. Nina knows very well about the ins and outs of Midas Corp, she is very fast as Alex's main assistant.

 

Nina and Alex sat quietly with their eyes after their work was done. Actually Alex was eager to grab Nina into his arms and give her a few kisses, but she felt bad that her father was there, sitting quietly watching her and Nina.

 

“What is it?” Alex asked while pointing at a cloth bag placed on the sofa, next to Nina's pretty bag.

 

Nina bowed in embarrassment, then glanced at Mr. Stephen at a glance before answering Alex's question.

 

“Lunch You, Sir.” Mumbled slowly.

 

Alex smiled brightly, he immediately extended his hand. Doubtfully Nina took out a food box from her bag and held it out to Alex, who was greeted enthusiastically by Alex.

Alex smiled happily at the contents. Apparently this time Nina cooked her own lunch, a large portion of spaghetti bolognaise and a few slices of pizza in front of Alex.

 

“You cooked it yourself?” Alex was amazed.

 

Nina nodded her head. “Turkey Pizza, Mr.”'s favorite He pointed at his pizza.

 

“I'll take him later.” Alex said quickly as he started devouring his spaghetti. He felt that he would not be able to eat all of these foods, so some of them would be taken to his cell to be enjoyed later.

 

Mr. Stephen looked at Alex's glowing face. It's been a long time that he hasn't seen Alex's happy face, probably the last time Alex was a kid. Mr. Stephen now understood, Nina held a more important position in Alex's heart compared to Mia.

 

“Our business with GreenLand Property is done,” said Mr. Stephen suddenly, “You can look for another 'potential' that is better in the future.” Mr. Stephen stood up, he went out of the room.

 

GreenLand Property is a property company owned by the Mia family. Does Papa agree I'm parting ways with Mia? Alex thought in his heart.

 

Nina who did not understand what Mr. Stephen said, just looked at Mr. Stephen and Alex alternately. But after Mr. Stephen disappeared behind the door, Alex immediately grabbed Nina's body into his arms, peeping her face as satisfied as he could. Alex vents his happiness, feeling that Mr. Stephen has blessed his relationship with Nina.
