Chapter 79 Rainbow After Rain

Captains Vera and Askara look out of the helicopter's window as they begin to take to the air. The night sky began to look bright, as if giving a new hope in their search mission.

"We're starting to go on the air now" Captain Vera said firmly, gesturing for Askara to prepare with their communications and navigation tools.

Askara immediately set the radio frequency and looked at the navigation screen carefully. He made sure all systems were connected and ready to use.

"All systems are connected, Captain," Askara said attentively.

Captain Vera nodded and adjusted the helicopter's rudder. He made sure the plane was flying on the right trajectory to begin the search.

"We will fly low and cross the flood-affected areas. Carefully examine any signs of the presence of Boss Lukas" said Captain Vera, stressing the importance of careful supervision.

Askara nodded, her eyes focused on the navigation screen. He watched every change on the map and watched the surroundings closely.

"Roger, Captain. I will examine every striking sign," replied Askara, in a confident voice.

The sound of the roar of helicopters echoed in the air, breaking the still gripping silence of the night due to the storm that had just arrived. Many buildings were flooded, and sirens were roaring everywhere, indicating an emergency was still lying between them.

Captains Vera and Askara continued to air carefully, trying to map the flood area and looking for traces of Luke's Boss' whereabouts. They communicate with the headquarters via radio, share information and provide reports on the progress of their search.

The wind was strong, though not in a dangerous situation. The two helicopter pilots realized that their task was not easy. However, they must find Luke's boss quickly and bring him home safely.

"We will go down the stream from the K-Group tower, Captain," Askara said, trying to examine the data obtained. Although the tracking system has been working, however, its exact location is not yet known. Therefore, they still had to do a manual search to quickly find and help Boss Luke who might be trapped by the river.

"Have you set it, right, the location?" ask Captain Vera to Askara.

"Yes, I've, Captain!" firmly answer.

They then focused the view on a radar screen that reached out to signals from their Boss's tracking device. Captain Vera continued to monitor navigation instruments while Askara checked the flood maps they had.

"Please let me know if you see any signs of the existence of Boss Luke" Captain Vera told Askara.

Askara nodded and looked closely down. He noticed any buildings, inflatable boats, or signs of human activity that might indicate the existence of Luke's Boss.

Sometimes, they have to rotate because of a gust of wind that is quite strong. The unfriendly wind was indeed a challenge for them. However, the Captain and the on-duty Copilot remained steadfast and did not lose hope in this rescue mission. Luckily, the radar was still recording the location of the Boss which did not show any shift. They were convinced that Boss Lukas had learned that a rescue team was on its way.

The communication between Captain Vera and Askara went well. They share information with each other and combine their experiences and instincts to effectively direct the search.

After some time, as they flew over an area isolated by water, Captain Vera noticed signs of life. "Take a look, is that Boss Lukas?" Said Captain Vera to Askara.

Askara likens the coordinates shown on the navigation screen. And, apparently, that's right, that man is Luke's boss.

With great care, Captain Vera approached the indicated location. Askara ensures that the helicopter remains stable in the air, maintains proper altitude and regulates the steering carefully. They apply the rescue techniques they have trained, using rescue cables to secure Luke's Boss while being lifted into the helicopter.

"Boss!" call Askara through a communicator connected to a rescue cable.

"Here!" boss Lukas excitedly waved his hands to signal his location.

Askara swiftly got off the helicopter and approached Lukas' boss. With great care, he swept away Luke's boss, who was probably tired and drenched in his attempt to escape across the puddles in the sewers.

Slowly, Askara helps Boss Lukas board the helicopter, ensuring he is comfortable and safe in the passenger seat. Captain Vera meticulously checked the navigation system and reported the successful pick-up to the medical team who had been on standby at the base to continue monitoring developments.

"Now, we're gonna take her somewhere safe. It's nice to see you're okay, boss," Captain Vera said attentively.

"Yes. Thank you, captain and Askara" Luke said with a smile. Askara had covered Luke's body with a thick towel to dry himself. When they arrive at the medical post, Luke will soon get the necessary first aid.

Not long after, their helicopter has arrived at the hangar. Luke and Askara went down first, to head to the media post immediately. Captain Vera appeared to park the helicopter safely, before giving a full report of the task today to his superiors.

They had returned to the base safely, and were finally able to bring Boss Luke back in good condition.

"Where's emma?" ask Luke to Askara. He did not answer, but his wife welcomed her husband with a warm embrace.

"Yepyahoo!!" he shouted from behind the corridor of the building. Emma then ran towards Lukas who still seemed to be shivering with the cold.

"I'm fine, honey," said Lukas to keep Emma from worrying.

"I'm freaking out! You're evil!" protest Emma while hugging her husband tightly. Luke says he'll be home soon, but he disappears in the middle of the storm. Emma was really worried and was unable to let go of the anxiety that plagued her.

"Sorry," said Luke, replying to Emma's embrace with a gentle kiss. They walked hand in hand towards the medics who had been on standby at the post.

Medics swiftly surrounded Lukas, examining his condition and providing the necessary treatment. Luke is grateful to have survived the terrible flood, and he feels gratitude to Captain Vera and Askara for saving him in time.

"I need to check your pulse and blood pressure, Mr. Luke," the medic kindly told Lukas.

Luke nodded his head and handed his left arm to be examined. "Sure, go ahead" he replied gently.

Medics closely observed the gauges and recorded the results. "The pulse is stable, the blood pressure is within normal limits. How is your overall condition, Mr Luke? Is there pain or discomfort?" ask the officer then.

Lukas breathed a sigh of relief. "I feel tired and a little cold, but other than that, I'm fine. Thank you for your help."

The medical staff smiled. "We'll give you a warm blanket and a hot drink to help warm your body. After that, we will provide further checks to ensure that there are no internal injuries to look out for."

Luke nodded his head. "Thank you for your hard work."

"Together, Mr. Luke," replied the Officer, then saying goodbye.

Emma was relieved that her husband was in good health. Luke smiled gently at him, and hugged his anxious-looking wife. "Roy, tell Askara to map the city's destruction. I won't stand idly by with an incident like this" Lukas said when he saw Roy who had just entered a medical post inside the building.

"Good, Boss!" roy replied obediently, then contacted Askara. K-Group will also help this extraordinary natural disaster, so that the victims can be handled immediately.

"Darling, go home yuk," asked Emma gently. Lukas nodded. The first examination had been carried out, at this time, they could immediately continue the journey to the residence quietly.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the world, precisely in Canada, Madam Liz seemed to grin, after confirming the death of two people who were seen to have been in contact with her on Virgin Island.

"Good, you've finished both!" praise the owner of the voice on the phone with satisfaction.

"Yes, Madame. As per your orders," the hit man replied firmly.

"In a moment, I'll go there myself. Lucy is really so stupid!" rutuknya. Madam Liz then turned off the phone and resumed her sex activities with a young man who was currently lying innocently without a thread on his body.
