ZRAASCH...
Finally, the long-awaited moment arrived. On a dark night and heavy rain, Anthony began to find a slight gap. The prison guards were seen busy with chaos due to a ceiling leak that resulted in a sizable puddle. Anthony and Jaka, who were observing the guards' actions, swiftly began their escape.
"Ready?" ask Anthony as an aba-aba. Jaka nodded, and began to remove the hook on his pants.
With courage and speed, they try to open the door using a large safety pin hidden behind Jaka's pants. The man was used to adjusting his pants with a safety pin rather than sewing them properly, for whatever reason. However, it did give them a chance as it found the sharp tools needed to open the padlock with little expertise.
Check it!
"Successful" Anthony whispered to Jaka. Jaka nodded and started following Anthony who was creeping out of the cell. After making it through a simple obstacle, Anthony and Jaka must now evade the patrolling guards to reach the exit at the end of the dark passageway.
Luckily, the patrolling guards were busy pacing back and forth to clean the floor that was starting to stagnate. Their attention was split as a result of the leaks, so they did not pay much attention to the prisoners.
It is good luck for Anthony and Jaka to start running down the dark tunnel that connects the dungeon with the sewers of the city that somehow empties into nowhere. A foul smell and high humidity enveloped the air around them, however, Anthony and Jaka did not care much about it. In the end, they arrived at the entrance of the prison made of extremely sturdy steel iron.
With a breath of breath, Anthony tried to open the iron door with the knowledge and expertise he had. Anthony is a recidivist who often in and out of prison with various demands. On the other hand, he was well acquainted and shared information about escapism, however, it had never been practiced, as Anthony did not have enough guts for it.
But this time it was different. Seized in an unofficial prison, making his pride trampled. Anthony finally began to be able to practice his skills that had been run all this time from fellow prisoners. Who would have guessed? Apparently, this knowledge does produce results.
RADAK.
The iron door opened.
Anthony and Jaka begin their escape to escape Luke's prison zone. They began to move, down other tunnels that had many branches midway through the palarian route. Without much thought, Anthony chose one of the branches, and began to rush his steps to head to one of the estuaries that led to the outside, although his exact purpose was unknown.
"Hurry up!" anthony whispered in a low voice, trying to avoid the noise that could get them caught.
Although they realize that this escape is only the first step in Anthony's larger plan, at least they are close to the original goal.
Inside the gripping darkness, Anthony and Jaka felt their heartbeats racing rapidly. Every breath felt heavy in the middle of a prison filled with threats. Unlike Anthony who used to run away, Jaka felt very nervous because this was his first experience. However, he still maintained his determination and followed Anthony obediently.
"Quick! We need to get out of here before they catch us!" anthony whispered in a firm tone, attracting the attention of Jaka who was haunted by negative thoughts.
Jaka seemed to flinch with a feisty boost from Anthony. He could see a gleam of courage in his eyes, burning brightly amidst the darkness. The fire of Anthony's spirit ignites in Jaka's fragile heart, awakening the realization that only by doing this escape can he re-experience the free life he has been seeking.
However, a point of doubt still haunts Jaka's mind. "What if they make it after us, Anthony? We can't keep running away forever!" hiss Jaka with a slightly trembling voice.
Jaka is speechless, realizing that he has been caught up in this escape with no way back. Jaka brushes off his negative thoughts and chooses to keep up with Anthony's progressively moving away from him. Jaka's breathing was wheezing, his body feeling tired, but the strong urge to achieve freedom encouraged him to keep moving. Every step of his was emitting pain and fear that surrounded his mind, but he broke away from the shackles to reach the light and fresh air that he had not felt for a long time.
"Hoshis... Hoshs... Hosh..." Jaka's breathing grew heavier, sweat flowed profusely, and his legs stepped ever wider, bringing himself to the coveted freedom.
Jaka and Anthony continued to run and run, passing through the dark alleys that connect the prison with the sewer system in the middle of the city. Every precious second, every breath was a sign of their courage. The increasingly gloomy and confusing situation did not dampen their resolve. Their steps slowed down, when they encountered a deep enough puddle, due to the entry of rain water that was getting thicker from the outside.
"Be careful," Anthony's message to Jaka as he began to walk down the puddle. Anthony led the way to fight the tide to get to the upstream of the culvert. That way, they will easily find the exit they want.
After walking for quite a long time, finally, they saw a faint light emanating, not far from where they were standing. Likely, it was the end of the culvert they had been looking for since. Anthony and Jaka felt a burning hope in their hearts. With the last remaining energy, they immediately accelerated their steps toward the light.
"Come on! Hurry along! We're almost there!" screeched Anthony this time with a voice that was not restrained.
"Ihhhhhhhhhhh!" jaka replied with a severed step, his breathing was already very heavy, however, his sizzling body was already quite decent enough to withstand the high intensity of the current escape.
Anthony and Jaka continue their journey through the dark, flooded tunnel at a fairly quick pace. Unexpectedly, suddenly, there was the sound of water ripples gushing quite loudly from behind. The voice blew away the atmosphere of excitement between the two.
"Anthony! The guards are chasing after kira!" squealing Jaka loudly, Anthony certainly listened to the sound of the chase behind them. He took a step, and so did Jaka.
"Quick! We can't get caught!" anthony exclaimed as he ran, although blocked by a large enough flow of water.
Jaka followed his steps, he also now ran, and through the current to get to the end of the culvert that was almost visible.
"Stop!!!!" shouted the guards with footsteps getting closer. However, Anthony and Jaka certainly paid no heed to their cries.
Anthony and Jaka's footsteps got faster, following the beat of their hearts that had almost jumped out. Adrenaline is pumped full appear to dominate their bodies. In a desperate state, Anthony and Jaka ran faster and faster, but suddenly, the light in front of them disappeared. The water that is flooded has no current. The culvert valves, seemingly perfectly closed, were accompanied by a mockery that sounded from the front with a voice that did not sound familiar to them.
"Go back. Your efforts have been in vain,"
