Chapter 40 Avoiding Emma

A few days after the kiss of responsibility incident between Luke and Emma, the relationship between the two deteriorates again. It's been some time since Luke avoided Emma. Not usually he went to the office in the morning blind, even as if he was racing with the crow that is often almost slaughtered by Sarah because it always interferes with his sleep.

Luke can read Emma's mind, though he himself does not say it. Luke knew that the female hormone reacted violently while enjoying the deep kiss launched by him. Emma's scent and body temperature inform her that she craves Luke's might and wants to be touched by him.

This is scary for Luke. He just ended the kiss, and acted as if nothing had happened. Luke feels like an escaped convict from Emma's love prison.

Luke hides his impotence from Emma out of fear of being perceived as weak or judged by her. Luke still hesitates to be honest as he also feels that Emma may not love him wholeheartedly.

Luke and Emma's marriage was based on a contract, not on true love. Luke doesn't want to run the risk that Emma might reveal the secret to others. It can certainly shake his self-esteem and impact on K-Group stocks indirectly.

'Hhh.... When can I speak frankly to Emma? Hhh.... ' Luke is entrenched with a perverted feeling. He realized that he could not keep hiding. One day, Luke must face reality and discuss the matter with Emma. However, before that happens, Luke must be sure that Emma's feelings for him have developed into genuine love, not just a momentary relationship as they signed in the contract.

Luke's cell phone reads, as he waits for two fugitives to be delivered by Askara and Roy to his secret prison.

"Gosh, Emma. What's the matter?" luke muttered after checking the message notification on his phone.

'Forgive me, Emma. Maybe we better not meet first. I haven't been able to satisfy your inner desires. After weighing up his decision, Luke finally sent a reply message.

"Old no see, goddamn gibberish," said Lukas with a terrible smile.

There was a contrasting atmosphere that occurred in the morning today. Just now Luke was drowning in deep regret for his actions on his wife, feeling trapped in an irreparable mistake. A block of wood had broken in two, producing a terrifying rumbling sound. Wood fragments flew in all directions, sending small fragments into the air.

Askara and Roy, with frightened and shocked gazes, were pecking at the spot, trying to hide the sudden stirring rage. They can assume that Luke's boss' mood is very bad.

On the other hand, Jaka and Yuki looked helplessly sprawled, with a few traces of blood staining the prison floor. Their bodies felt weak and the injuries they suffered were so real. Luke stood near them with a cruel gaze, clenching his hands tightly, as if showing undeniable dominance.
