"We can't go on like this, Gita" Gibran said gently as he removed his hand from the Gita.

Gita looked into Gibran's eyes, she saw sincerity and earnestness there. Gibran who had been known for never seriously seemed to disappear somewhere, he now changed into a more mature Gibran.

Gibran let out a long sigh and began to speak. "When I met you the first time we were in college, I didn't have any feelings for you, Git. I consider you an ordinary friend, nothing more."

Gibran paused for a moment, while Gita watched him. "At that time, I started dating and changing girlfriends. At first I just wanted to dabble, because before college, I had never dated. I want to know what it's like to have a woman who's always beside me, watching me and always there for me. I think it's all fun, but that's it, without involving the slightest feeling."

The Gita still watched Gibran closely. He occasionally frowned when he listened to stories from Gibran.

"I was getting closer to you then. We are always together because we often meet during college and it is comfortable to tell each other stories. For some reason, when I was dating my girlfriends, I never found the woman I wanted in them. I broke up with my boyfriend, found a new girlfriend again, then broke up again, and so on until I got really tired and wondered who I was really looking for?" gibran said again. He's really serious now. While Gita did not stop looking at him while talking.

"Until one day I just found the answer, you're the one I really wanted all along. I always did not feel at home with my girlfriends and in the end always ran and complained to you. But I'm too confused about how I feel and I'm confused about what our relationship will be if it turns out that one day I really like you. And this is what's happening now, we're at a point where we can't decide what our relationship is like now" Gibran said at length. He let out a long sigh again and looked at Gita deeply.

"I never knew you'd break up your girlfriends because of me?" ask Gita to make sure. He never knew Gibran liked him all this time.

"I just realized how I felt and I tried to find you in them because I knew you wouldn't be my girlfriend" Gibran replied.

"Can I trust this? Everything you've said, Gibran?" ask Gita seriously.

"You know when I lie or when I'm really honest with you. You've known me for a long time, Git." Gibran replied with a smile to Gita.

"Now, I really don't want to lose you" Gibran said, holding Gita's hand. "I want to have you, Gita." continued Gibran.

Gita fell silent and looked at Gibran without blinking. He's never seen Gibran like this. Gita was surprised by Gibran's statement that he liked him a long time ago. "What am I supposed to do, Gibran?" gita was confused.

"Let's get married." Gibran asked suddenly with spontaneity that Gita did not expect.

"What?" gita asked in surprise at Gibran's invitation. "We haven't even graduated from college" replied Gita reminded.

"I just want to fulfill your wish. We're graduating from college anyway" Gibran said, reassuring Gita.

"That's not the right reason for someone to propose, Gibran. Can you think of a better one?" gita's question made Gibran frown. He just wants to fulfill Gita's desire to get married, is there any other reason better than that?

'Really Gibran is insensitive.' The inner Gita. How could he get Gita married like he was taking the road to the mall?

"Is there a reason for that?" ask Gibran confused. "I can work while I'm in college anyway. I even have a job now." Gibran assures Gita.

"Think about it, Gibran. You can't suddenly ask me to get married just because you want to. It's not that simple." replied Gita.

"You don't want to date, you don't want to get married, but you don't want to be in a relationship without status, so what do you really want, Gita?" gibran asked with emotions starting to mount. He seemed to be getting upset and losing his patience.

"A. I.." replied Gita surprised to hear Gibran's words mixed with emotion. "I'm not saying I don't want to get married." continued Gita slowly.

Gibran again sighed for the umpteenth time. He tried to calm himself. "Alright, Git" said Gibran, nodding in understanding. He seemed to be tired of the debate that did not end. "If so, I go home first" Gibran said, saying goodbye to Gita.

The Gita still wants to be with Gibran, but she also understands that they need time.

"Alright.." answered Gita.

Gibran kissed Gita. "I love you" said Gibran afterwards and departed from before the Gita.

Gita's tears slowly fell and dripped down her cheeks. Gita is sad because she wants to have Gibran. He was saddened to see Gibran, who seemed desperate to face his thoughts.

Gita walked straight to her room. His eyes were red from crying. Arriving at Gita in front of the room, Melati just came out of her room and approached Gita.

"Why are you, Git?" jasmine asked astonishedly looking at Gita with her sad face.

"Emmm... No papa, Mel." answered Gita lying.

"Come on, you can't lie with those red eyes of yours, Git" Melati insisted.

Gita hugged Melati and came back crying. He really needs a talkative now.

"Let's go in first." invite Melati into Gita's room.

Gita sits on the edge of her bed and Melati sits opposite Gita in her study chair. Melati took a glass of water from the dispenser in the room and gave it to Gita.

"What's wrong?" jasmine asked slowly after seeing Gita somewhat calm down.

'Do I have to tell Melati everything? Can I trust him? All this time I've always complained to Gibran. But I really need a interlocutor now.' Inner Gita weighing.

"Is this about Gibran?" guess Melati.

"Where do you know?" ask Gita wonder.

"Who else can make you feel this way if it's not him?" ask Melati while teasing Gita.

Gita breathed. He was completely calm now. "We're really two different people, Mel" said Gita.

"you mean? I see you guys are very fit and always together." asked Melati confused.

"We have our own principles, Mel" replied Gita. "Gibran wants to date, I don't want to. It's not a big deal maybe for some people, but it's really a problem for us." continued Gita, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"You don't want to date? You're weird, Git? You traumatized?" ask Melati wonder.

"No, Mel. I just don't want to, maybe I'm a little scared" replied Gita. "I just want to get married." continued Gita shyly.

"What?" jasmine was surprised. "But you guys haven't graduated college yet, Git." continued Melati again.

"Yes, Mel. I don't want to get married now either." replied Gita.

"Continue?" tanya Melati was again surprised by the thought of Gita.

"So I'm also confused as to how he wants to" replied Gita honestly. "Maybe I made Gibran give up because of the complexity of my thinking." continued Gita.

"Yes, why don't you date anyway, you can also know Gibran first" said Melati gave input.

"Come, Mel. I can't say yes." replied Gita again confused.

"How much does Gibran go?" ask Melati again.

"He came home, as if he were tired, maybe he had given up" replied Gita with a face that was bowed lethargic.

"Maybe he just needs time. You too, Git." said Melati calming Gita.

Gita could only smile at Melati's words. Maybe he should get used to it for a while without Gibran by his side.
