"His mother is eating fruit, Ma'am. Aunty put it in the kitchen first yes, make a drink" said Bi Inah break the silence between Gita, Gibran, and Andra who still sat quietly in their respective places.
'Why is he here? Put on another fruit show?' inner Gibran was a bit upset at the arrival of Andra.
Gibran stared intently at Andra, and vice versa. While the Gita did not know what to say to see Gibran and Andra like a cold war.
"Emmm... Gibran, Andra helped me yesterday" said Gita.
"How are you?" andra asked Gibran politely.
"Well." replied Gibran briefly.
'So Gibran is Gita's girlfriend?' inner Andra guesses Gibran and Gita are dating.
"I'm sorry I bumped into your girlfriend yesterday" Andra said apologizing. He looks more relaxed now.
Gita is misbehaved because Andra thinks she's Gibran's girlfriend. Gibran was still staring at Andra.
"What business are you doing here?" ask Gibran a little cold. He paid no heed to Andra's apology.
Gita was a little upset to hear Gibran's tone. 'Can't he relax a little more?' the Inner Gita protested Gibran.
"I just want to see Gita and make sure she's okay" Andra replied casually.
"He's fine, as you can see." Gibran said firmly.
"Is your boyfriend always like this?" andra asked, looking at Gita.
"What-like?" ask Gibran did not accept with Andra's question.
"As always carried away by emotions. Wait a minute, are you jealous?" andra looked back at Gibran.
"You two can stop? My feet hurt more and more to hear you guys talk nonstop." Gita finally interceded.
Gibran and Andra were silent. The two of them now changed their respective sitting positions to be more relaxed than the previous one.
"Aren't you guys best friends?" gita asked Gibran and Andra who made them both laugh together.
"Then." answered Andra immediately. "Before he messed things up." continued Andra later.
"You haven't even heard the truth" Gibran said quickly.
"I don't know what's going on between you two, but I hope that as a person who's been friends, wouldn't you rather forgive each other?" tanya Gita tried wisely.
"I'm sure you won't forgive him if you know the truth" Andra replied firmly.
"You don't know the truth yet" Gibran said in response.
Gita held her head. How could the two people in the cold war be in Gita's house?
"Don't forget I saved you yesterday" Andra said, reminding Gibran of the incident with Lodya.
"I'm grateful for that" Gibran said.
"Well, I better go home. Thank goodness you're okay, Gita. I'll call you next time" Andra noticed the discomfort of his presence and said goodbye to Gita.
"Other times?" ask Gibran.
"I just want to be friends with your girlfriend, didn't you used to be friends with my boyfriend?" andra said to Gibran.
Gibran fell silent and looked back at Andra.
"I go first" Andra said. He moved from his seat.
Meanwhile, Bi Inah came to the living room to bring drinks as Andra left. "Not drinking yet, Mom?" ask Bi Inah to Andra.
"No, Bi. Next time, thank you." answered Andra politely refused and immediately left the Gita house.
Gita was silent to see Andra leave. In his heart he wondered with the intention of Andra's talk of Gibran. 'Did Gibran keep something I didn't know?' inner Gita.
Bi Inah went back to the back and left Gita and Gibran both.
"Is there something you're hiding from me?" ask Gibran seriously. He shifted his body to face Gibran.
"About Andra?" ask Gibran back.
"Don't you tell me what your problem is with him?" ask Gita again.
"I don't really want to have a problem with anyone" Gibran replied.
Gita put on a pouting face. He really couldn't get rid of Andra's words. Gibran looked at the expression on Gita's face as if he was thinking about something. He didn't want Gita to have any thoughts towards him.
"Well, I'll tell you a story, please listen and trust me." Gibran continued asking Gita to believe it.
"All right, I'll believe you. Please be honest with me." ask Gita to Gibran.
Gibran nodded in agreement and let out a long sigh. He started telling stories.
"At that time, I was in 2nd grade High School, Andra was my upperclassman, she was 3rd grade High School. We were good friends because we were both on the school basketball team, he was the captain" Gibran said.
"So she was dating a rose. Roses are a year older than Andra. He had just been in college a few months while dating Andra" Gibran continued.
The Gita did not stop looking at Gibran who was sitting beside her. He watched Gibran closely. 'Roses?' the Gita asked in her heart.
"Roni? Why is Andra hostile to Roni?" ask Gita.
"Because before the Rose, Andra was once with Roni's bluff. But not long after that they broke up." replied Gibran.
Gita nodded. "Continue?" ask Gita again to ask Gibran to continue.
"As usual we fought with excitement. It just so happened that our team won. Roni grew angry because Andra mocked his defeat. And at that time, when I was going home and was in the school parking lot with Andra and Rose, Andra was suddenly called Dedi, the captain of Roni's school basketball team." Gibran continued.
Gita begins to digest Gibran's story, about the names he just heard, Rose, Roni, Dedi. He tried to remember.
"I was left alone with the rose. Suddenly someone drugged me from behind. And somehow I was in a hotel room" Gibran said.
Gita gawks at Gibran's story. "Then?" he felt very curious.
"After I came to my senses, I only found a crying Rose in the room. Not long after that Andra came and found us both" Gibran said.
Gibran did not tell Gita about the actual Rose plan, as he had promised that the Rose would not tell anyone who actually happened to the Rose.
"What did you do with the rose?" gita was surprised.
"I didn't do anything" Gibran replied honestly.
"But why are you in the same hotel room? Who drugged and took you there?" tanya Gita was very curious.
"I don't know, Git. But I suspect it was Roni's doing." replied Gibran. In this section Gibran is forced to lie a little, because he really does not want the Gita to know the truth. He doesn't want Gita to know it's all Rose's own plan.
"Why would Roni want to set you up? Does Andra know that's what he did?" gita asked again, still curious.
"Maybe Roni wanted to frame me and Rose so Andra thought we were cheating on her. I tried to explain but he still misunderstood." replied Gibran.
The Gita still digests all of Gibran's stories. "Where is the rose now?" ask Gita.
"I don't know. The last time I looked for him, he had gone back to his hometown and quit his studies." replied Gibran.
"Are you sure you didn't do anything with the rose?" tanya Gita still needs confidence.
"I've never done anything that bothered your mind, Gita" Gibran told Gita.
Gita frowned. He was confused whether to believe in Gibran? Yes, he loves Gibran and will trust him now.
"I don't know what to say. I hope you're not lying to me, Gibran" said Gita.
Gibran. "I don't want to think about that anymore. I just want to think about you and our relationship right now" Gibran said, reassuring Gita.
Gita smiled at Gibran's words.
"Well, it's afternoon, I'll go back" Gibran said farewell and finished his drink.
"Hurry up?" tanya Gita is not willing to release Gibran because he feels he has only been to his house for a while.
"I don't want to disturb your rest, Gitaku." replied Gibran as he pinched Gita's nose.
"Gibrans...!" yelled Gita while stroking her nose.
Gibran actually wanted to stay longer with Gita, but Gita definitely needed a break because of his leg pain and also because of the long talk they had today. Today, he was also tired.
"I'll miss you until Monday" Gibran told Gita.
Next Monday the lecture has begun to be active again because the holiday period is over. Gita and Gibran should be preoccupied with practical work activities that take three months in this semester.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I met your papa this morning" Gibran said.
"Where are you?" gita asked half surprised.
"In the office of Om Vishnu. I happen to be working there. I was asked to attend a meeting today and meet your father" Gibran replied.
"You work?" gita asks instead of focusing wrongly with Gibran's statement that works.
"I only help Om Vishnu, not his employees or anything like that" replied Gibran.
"Is there anything else you haven't told me?" asked Gita as if she had not known much about Gibran, but she was close friends with him.
"I told you everything, Git. Your father offered me an internship in his office" Gibran said.
"You accept?" ask Gita.
"Maybe it is." replied Gibran. "Where might I turn down my future-in-law's offer?" ask Gibran again, joking.
Gita laughed and her face flushed. He could not imagine Gibran calling his father 'father-in-law' one day'.
"I go home first, yes" Gibran said.
"Alright.." replied Gita rather reluctantly. "Aren't you coming back tomorrow?" ask Gita a little spoiled.
"I still have work, Git. You will still have to rest, you can't go anywhere if your feet still hurt." replied Gibran gave Gita understanding.
"Yes... Yes.." said Gita rather heavy.
"See you next week." said Gibran.
"See you later.." said Gita.
Gibran kissed Gita on the forehead and walked out of the Gita house. Gita smiled as she watched Gibran leave.
