My Love in the Aisle of Time

Josh Benedict

Josh Benedict is a middle-aged man with black hair, partially bleached, brown eyes, and wearing round glasses.

"Hello, you must be little Dreamy. Mark raised you very well. He must be so proud of you." said Josh ruffled my hair. I smile.

"And, these are Mark's two favorite boys, which is Voltaire, and which is Kai?" tanyakanya.

V came forward, and extended his hand to Josh, "I, Voltaire, and he's Kai" said V.

Kai also extended his hand to Josh, Josh replying to their helping hand one by one.

"I'm so sorry for your dad, Dream. He's a good man, but I'm sure it's time for your father to leave." said Josh with a sorry look.

"I've also heard the news of the new buzz from the prime minister of Dreamy Eve. Amazing, and consequently the crime rate is able to be pressed well" said Josh again.

"Ahahaha, thank you Josh" I blushed.

"Call me Josh" he said. Then he got out of his chair, went into his room, and came back with a red velvet box.

Josh sat down again, and putting the red velvet box on the table, none of us dared to speak.

Finally Josh made a sound again, he opened the red velvet box, and took out the contents, a necklace with a small hourglass as the pendant, "This, not the usual necklace." he said, "and this.." pointing at the hourglass pendant, "is not just an ordinary decorative pendant" he said.

The three of us looked at each other, "That time was terrible. Hence the term person who likes to waste time, will not get anything in his life. Because time will go on, you want to work, you are sick, even sleeping, time will not stop" he said.

Neither V nor Kai, nor I, have yet caught on to what the talk means. Josh continued his talk again, "This necklace is very special, oh, I'll tell you how I got this necklace" he said, then he told me.

"Me and Mark have been friends for a long time, we met when Mark was on duty this year. Did he invite me to stay in his time year, of course. I was excited to hear his stories about the future. I've been there a couple of times, and wow, what an advanced human civilization there is. What is seen in Hollywood movies this year, becomes real in the future. I feel comfortable being there" he said again.

"I'm so lulled, so fast that I forget my wife here. At that time, you were a child, Dream. I asked Mark to go back to the year of my time. And when I got back, I lost my wife. She was sick, and I was not beside her, worse her family no one knew me at all. And at that moment, Mark gave me this necklace, just to make up for my time, he said, turn this around three times, and fix your time. At first I couldn't believe it, but I tried. And, finally I managed to meet my wife back, I accompanied her days, until she was gone forever. Then I gave back my time, and there was no more regret in my heart." Josh said again, closing the story.

We looked at her and didn't know what to say, other than, "I'm sorry for your wife, Josh."

He smiled, and handed the necklace to me, "I will return this necklace to you, Dream. I didn't expect your papa to leave so soon, so I left this necklace to you. I hope there are never regrets in your life, so you don't have to expect to turn the clock around" he said gently to us.

I accept it, "Thank you Josh, it means a lot to us, when we talk about regret, there will always be a sense of it. But as much as possible we will correct and accept all the consequences of our mistakes. Suppose I could turn back the clock, I would turn my time back on my wedding day where my father was shot, I would protect my papa as hard as I could, however, I never imagined papa would go that fast, and in that way.really.that's my regret." I said, my voice choked, and my tears flowed, soaking my cheeks.

V hugged me, and rubbed my tears, "We will accept and keep this well, Josh. As much as possible we won't wear them" V said.

" Right, regret will always be there, but we won't turn back the clock, there must be a risk, right? Just like when we cross time like this." said Kai.

"I heard from Mark, you, Voltaire are not from the future, is that it?" ask Josh.

V nodded, "So did Kai's wife. He's my friend." answered V.

"The risk you're facing is huge. Forgotten, forgotten, forgotten." said Josh.

Josh laughed, "Good philosophy, Voltaire" he said.

"That's right. What we cannot lose is our ability. Therefore, please regret, because regret is human, regret occurs because of the actions we did yesterday, right? But there's one thing I'm so afraid to ask, has that passage of time ever been broken? I mean, it's not working the way it should?" ask V.

I didn't think until there, because what I knew was that the maintenance of the hallway was very regular, and it couldn't be done by just anyone.

Josh thinks and remembers, "Ah, never. Me and Mark felt it once, it happened because of the turbulence of time in the time vortex. Upheaval can occur if the number of time survivors go out into different time years. That's how we felt." replied Josh, "We went around time, and couldn't stop until the time vortex stabilized again" he added.

"It's awful. It could be, when we land, we are in ancient times, and meet a Trex who is starving, we are finished" said Kai.

I shuddered, "True yeah. I never thought I'd get there." I said.

Josh laughed, "Right now I'm sure the maintenance of the time passage has been further improved, because the news of getting lost in the time vortex has been much reduced. And hopefully you're not the next victim" he said with a smile.

After a long chat with Josh, we said goodbye, Josh offered his help to take us to the passage of time.

We say goodbye from there, "Bye, thank you Josh" we said and immediately entered the passage of time. Josh beat us up until we were nowhere to be seen.

**EPILOGUE

V POV**

"Josh Benedict is a hard man to guess. I don't know if I like it or not." I said that night after we got back from time travel.

"Yes, I did too. There's something strange about him." said Kai.

"What yeah? Hey, Kai, are you interested in using that necklace?" I asked Kai.

Kai pursed his lips, "There's a desire for me to try it." he said.

"Why?" my many.

"Hmmm...I wonder what I would do if I didn't meet you or Bryanna?" answer Kai.

"That's the name is destiny! You can reject your destiny! Just enjoy the presence of Bry and me in your life." I said.

"Sure, I enjoy Bry, but I can't enjoy you.hahahaha."

All that night, we wondered where we would repeat the time if the necklace could work.
